This type of tape cassette has a slide cover slidably mounted on the lower shell of the upper and lower shells, so that it can be slid between the closed position and the open position as the cassette is loaded onto and removed from the deck. It is configured. In both of these positions, as shown in FIG. 6, the claw portion 4 of the stopper 2, which is integrally formed with the lower shell 1, is fitted into the locking holes 6 and 7 of the slide cover 5, thereby locking the slide. The cover 5 is locked. Furthermore, to explain the sliding movement of the slide cover 5 between the closed position and the open position according to the operating order, in FIG. b is a state in which the claw portion 4 is pushed up so as to come out of the hole 6 by the release lever l on the deck side when the cassette is loaded on the deck, and c is a state in which the slide cover 5 is pushed in the direction of arrow A. By being moved, the edge 6a of the hole 6
On the other hand, the inclined surface 4a of the claw part 4 slides while being in pressure contact and comes out of the hole 6, and the rear claw part 4 rides on the surface of the slide cover 5. d shows the state in which the slide cover 5 slides to the open position. As a result, a state in which the claw portion 4 is held in the open position by being fitted into the hole 7, e is a state in which the claw portion 4 is pushed up by the lever l when it is removed from the cassette deck, and f When the slide cover 5 is pushed in the direction of arrow B, the inclined surface 4b of the claw part 4 slides while being pressed against the edge 7a of the hole 7, and comes out of the hole 7, and the rear claw part 4 slides. The state in which the cover 5 is riding on the surface of the cover 5 is shown. As the slide cover 5 slides further to the closed position from the state shown in FIG. It will be done. In this way, such operations of the slide cover 5 and the stopper 2 are repeated as the cassette is attached and detached.

However, in such a conventional cassette, the slide cover 5 is formed thin, and the slide cover 5 has a tendency to move toward the lid L (see FIG. 7a) due to a spring installed inside the cassette. Because of this, when the claw part 4 is locked in the closed position or the open position, the right side surface of the claw part 4 and the right inner wall surface of the hole 6 or 7 press against each other (Fig. 7a, b). Therefore, each time the cassette is attached or detached, the inclined surface 4a of the claw portion 4 and the edge 6a of the hole 6, or the inclined surface 4b and the edge 7a of the hole 7, slide against each other. As this process is repeated several times, the wear on the edge 7a of the hole 7 becomes significant (see Figure 8), and as a result, it becomes difficult to hold the slide cover 5 in a predetermined position, which impedes loading the cassette onto the deck. There were some inconveniences such as.

In the tape cassette according to the present invention, one of the holding means consisting of a claw and a convex or concave portion is formed at the tip of the arm at a position substantially symmetrical to the arm in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the arm. At the same time, the slide cover is formed with a claw portion and the other holding means consisting of a hole into which the one holding means fits respectively in the open position and the closed position, and a recessed part or a convex part. Therefore, the pawl itself functions as a release pawl for the stopper with respect to the slide cover, and the holding means arranged in parallel therewith reliably locks and holds the slide cover in the closed or open position.

1 and 3 show a first embodiment of the tape cassette according to the present invention, in which 1 is the lower shell;
3 is a stopper molded integrally with the lower shell 1.
5 is an arm portion that resiliently supports the claw portion 4 formed at the tip of the stopper 2 in the vertical direction with respect to the lower shell 1, and 5 is slidable on the lower shell 1 in the directions of arrows C and C′ in FIG. a slide cover supported by the tape cassette and constantly pressed in the direction of arrow C (towards lid L in FIG. 2) by a spring (not shown) in the tape cassette;
6 is formed on the slide cover 5 so that the claw part 4 can be fitted into the slide cover 5 in the closed position with respect to the lower shell 1, and at least the inclined surfaces 4a and 4b of the claw part 4 can protrude (see FIG. 7a). 7 is a hole formed in the same manner as hole 6 so that the slide cover 5 stops in the open position, 8 is a hole formed in the claw portion 4
A retaining claw 9 is formed at the tip of the arm 3 in parallel with and has a height from the arm 3 that is at least lower than the height of the claw 4 that protrudes from the hole 6 when the claw 4 is fitted into the hole 6. By engaging with the pawl 8, the slide cover 5 is positioned at its closed position, and when the pawl 4 fitted into the hole 6 is pushed up by the lever l on the deck side (the second (see Figure 7 b) a holding hole that can be disengaged from the holding claw 8;
Reference numeral 10 denotes a holding hole which positions the slide cover 5 in the open position by engaging with the holding pawl 8, and which, like the holding hole 9, can be released from the engagement by the lever l.
Incidentally, these stoppers 2, holes 6, 7, and holding holes 9, 10 are arranged in parallel in pairs on the left and right sides of this tape cassette.

Since the tape cassette according to this embodiment is constructed as described above, when the slide cover 5 slides between the closed position and the open position, the claw portion 4 and the holes 6, 7 basically operate as shown in FIG. 7a. It has the same operating mode as f to f. The operation of the holding pawl 8 in response to the operation of the pawl portion 4 will be explained. When the cassette is detached from the deck in FIG. It is held in the closed position. In Figure b, the holding claw 8 rises together with the claw 4 when the claw 4 is pushed up by the lever l on the deck side. If the holding claw 8 is completely pushed up by the holding hole 9, the holding claw 8 will come out of the holding hole 9 and be released from the engagement, since the height of the holding claw 8 is formed to be lower than the protruding portion. This rear claw part 4 is the slide cover 5
The holding claw 8 rides on top and reaches the state shown in figure c, but
During this time, the inclined surface 4a of the claw portion 4 slides while being in pressure contact with the end 6a of the hole 6, but the holding claw 8 has completely slipped out of the holding hole 9 and does not come into contact with it, so that wear etc. may occur. There isn't. In Figure d, when the claw portion 4 is fitted into the hole 7 by the elasticity of the arm portion 3, the holding claw 8 engages with the holding hole 10, thereby holding the slide cover 5 in its open position. Next, when the cassette is removed from the deck, the claw portion 8 is pushed up by the lever l, and the holding claw 8 rises together with it and completely comes out of the holding hole 10 as before (see e in the same figure). While the rear claw part 4 is sliding on the slide cover 5, the figure f
As shown in FIG.
will be maintained in a non-contact state. Since the retaining pawl 8 only engages with the slide cover 5 in these positions to hold the slide cover 5 in its closed position or open position, wear due to sliding of the slide cover 5 does not occur. As a result, accurate positioning of the holding claws 8 can be maintained stably for an extremely long period of time. That is, as described above, the claw part 8 releases the stopper 2 from the slide cover 5 in the closed position or the open position of the slide cover 5, and once the claw part 8 is positioned, the retaining claw 8 is released unless the claw part 8 is released. The holding holes 9 and 10 ensure that the holding hole 4 is held in both positions, and the claw portion 4 and the holding claw 8 each have separate functions. In this way, the accuracy of opening and closing the slide cover 5 and the durability of the stopper 2 can be improved.

Note that the shape of the holding claw 8 and the holding holes 9 and 10 is the same as that of the first
In addition to the polygonal cross-sectional shape shown in the figure, the cross-sectional shape may be circular or elliptical as shown in FIG. 3, or may have convex portions and concave portions, in which case the same effect as described above can be obtained.

FIG. 4 shows the second embodiment, and in the figure, 8
A and 8a' are a pair of holding claws arranged in parallel on both sides of the claw part 4, and 9a, 10a, 9a', and 10a' are the claw parts 4 that are fitted into the holes 6 and 7, and the tips of the claws are inserted into the holes 6 and 7. These holding holes engage the holding claws 8a and 8a' in their more protruding state to position and hold the slide cover 5 in its closed position (open position). Also in this case, the holding claws 8a, 8a' are connected to the holding holes 9a, 10.
a, 9a', and 10a' to securely hold the slide cover 5 in a predetermined position, and since no wear or the like occurs due to such engagement, the slide cover 5 is held in place as in the above embodiment. Accurate positioning can be stably maintained for a long period of time.
