When it is necessary to change the width of the substrate in this type of device, it is generally necessary to change the scraping blade, replace the feed roll with one suitable for transfer, or insert a fluororesin-impregnated plate between the roll and the substrate. The transfer width to the base material is adjusted.

However, methods such as replacing blades and feed rolls require a number of spares commensurate with the transfer width, and have the disadvantage that replacing them takes a lot of effort and significantly impedes efficiency. In the method of inserting a slippery material between the two layers, it is difficult to constantly maintain the desired transfer width due to the coating liquid going around.

Eliminating the drawbacks of these conventional techniques, it is possible to freely adjust the scraping width according to the substrate width or coating width, and it is also possible to adjust the coating width of high-viscosity coating liquids, which was difficult to adjust, and to maintain a stable transfer width. Regarding the liquid receiving butt that can be maintained,
We have previously proposed an improvement method as shown in Publication No. 102273.

[Problem to be solved by the invention] However, even in the above method, since the coating liquid supply port is fixed at a fixed position in the liquid receiving vat, the amount of coating liquid in the liquid receiving vat may vary depending on the viscosity of the coating liquid and the coating speed. There were drawbacks such as the change in flow and the formation of stagnant portions in the coating solution, which tended to gel, which adhered to the coating substrate and caused defects such as glue streaks.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 1, four slide guides 4 are slidably attached to the upper portions of side edges 2, 2 facing each other in the longitudinal direction of the liquid receiving butt 1. It is fixed to the side edges 2, 2 of the liquid receiver butt 1 by fixing screws 5. A partition plate 6 is horizontally suspended between the pair of left and right slide guides 4, and is in contact with the inner surfaces of both side edges 2, 2 of the liquid receiving butt 1, and is provided between the partition plate 6 and the bottom surface 3 for draining liquid and removing gelled substances. A gap 15 is provided. The width of the gap 15 varies depending on the viscosity of the coating liquid, so it cannot be absolutely determined, but it is usually about several mm to 10 mm. The uppermost end of the partition plate 6 is located lower than the uppermost end of the liquid receiver vat 1. Furthermore, a third
A recessed portion is formed corresponding to the outer peripheral shape of the feed roll 11 shown in FIGS. A liquid supply gutter 7 is installed between the left and right slide guides 4 at the upper part of one side edge 2 so as to be able to slide along the side edge 2. Below the liquid supply gutter 7, as shown in FIG. A liquid supply pipe 8 and a fixing screw 9 to the side edge 2 are attached to. The inner surface of the liquid receiving vat 1, the slide guide 2, the sliding parts of the partition plate 6, and the inner surface of the liquid supply gutter 7 are treated with fluororesin to prevent the coating liquid from sticking to improve workability. . Reference numeral 14 denotes a liquid level sensor, which is not shown, but feeds back to the coating liquid supply device via a control device to keep the liquid constant. 3 and 4 show a state in which the image is transferred from the feed roll 11 to the base material 13, and the partition plate 6 is located closest to the feed roll 11. Adjust this position using the liquid receiver butt 1.
This is done by a lifting device (not shown).

Next, to explain the operation, the transfer width is adjusted by adjusting the vertical position of the liquid receiving butt 1.
1 to a position where the partition plate 6 does not come in contact with the slide guide 4, the fixing screw 5 of the slide guide 4 is loosened, the left and right slide guides 2 and the partition plate 6 are moved together to an arbitrary transfer position, and the fixing screw 5 is tightened and fixed. The liquid supply gutter 7 is also moved to an arbitrary liquid supply position by loosening the fixing screw 9, and is fixed by tightening the fixing screw 9.

The liquid supplied from an external liquid supply device (not shown) through the liquid supply gutter 7 between the left and right partition plates 6 gradually rises to reach the upper end of the partition plate 6, and is caused to overflow and close the partition to prevent skin burrs. It is also discharged from the gap 15 between the plate 6 and the bottom surface 3 of the liquid receiving butt 1, and exits from the overflow pipe 10 to an external tank (not shown).
is stored in. At this time, the balance between the amount of supplied liquid and the amount of discharged liquid is determined by detecting the height of the liquid level by the liquid level sensor 14, and feedback is sent back to the supply device via the control device, so that the liquid level is always kept constant. In addition, if the position of the liquid supply gutter 7 is inappropriate and the coating liquid stagnates and glue streaks due to gelled substances occur on the coating substrate 13, the liquid supply gutter 7 is moved and fixed at an optimal position where the above defects do not occur. .

Since the present invention is constructed as described above, there is no need for complicated work such as replacing blades, and coating efficiency is greatly improved. It is now possible to make adjustments and maintain a stable transfer width.

In addition, by providing a liquid supply device such as a gutter that can freely move between the two partition plates, it is possible to eliminate stagnation of the coating liquid due to changes in the viscosity of the coating liquid and coating speed, and to reduce gelation. Since gelled substances can be removed from the gap between the partition plate and the bottom of the liquid receiving vat, adhesion of gelled substances to the coating substrate can be prevented.
Therefore, there is no occurrence of adhesive streaks or other defects, and a significant improvement in quality can be achieved.

Another advantage is that the slide guide, partition plate, and liquid supply gutter can be removed more easily than the liquid receiver butt, making cleaning easier.
