Generally, the transmission and propulsion shaft of an automobile are placed on the lower side of the floor of the driver's cab, so the approximately central part of the floor in the vehicle width direction is shaped like a tunnel.
It is bulged upward to have an arcuate cross-section, and the transmission and the like are accommodated within the bulge. Incidentally, a floor mat having pile threads planted on the surface of a base fabric is usually installed on the floor of an automobile having a curved surface portion such as the above-mentioned bulge. The above-mentioned conventional floor mats use pile yarns planted on the surface of a base fabric at the same density across the front surface.

Conventional floor mats have pile yarns planted at the same density across the front surface of the base fabric, so the base fabric of the floor mat is laid or laid in such a way that it conforms to the curved surface of an automobile floor. If the floor mat is thermoformed as much as possible, the part of the floor mat that is laid along the curved surface of the floor will be stretched in area, so that the pile yarn in the part that will be laid along the curved surface of the floor will be laid on the flat part of the floor. There was a problem in that the base fabric at the curved portion was visible from between the pile yarns, resulting in an extremely poor appearance.

The present invention was proposed in view of the above problems.
A floor mat in which pile yarns are planted on the entire surface of the base fabric, wherein the density of the pile yarns in the portion laid on the curved surface of the floor is higher than the density of the pile yarn in the portion laid on the flat surface. None, in the laying state, the density of the pile yarn appears to be the same in the part laid on the curved surface part and the part laid on the flat part.

When the floor mat with the above configuration is installed on a floor surface having a curved surface with an arcuate cross section,
The pile yarns in the areas that are laid along the curved surface of the floor are planted in a high density, so even if this area is stretched, the pile yarns in the areas that are laid along the flat surface of the floor are They appear to have approximately the same density from the outside.

1 and 2 show an embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a floor panel constituting the floor 2 of an automobile, and a curved surface portion having an arcuate cross-section, for example, a bulge, for accommodating a transmission and a propulsion shaft, is provided approximately in the center of the floor panel 1 in the vehicle width direction. The portion 3 is formed into a tunnel shape. Reference numeral 4 denotes a base fabric made of a woven, knitted or non-woven fabric made of synthetic yarn or the like, and 5 is a pile yarn made of synthetic yarn or the like planted on the surface 6 of the base fabric 4 . A latex layer (not shown) is applied to the surface 7 of the base fabric 4, and this latex layer fixes the pile yarn 5 to the base fabric 4 and prevents the pile yarn 5 from coming off. The base fabric 4 has a curved portion 8 approximately at the center in the width direction that is laid on the bulge portion 3 of the floor 2 and maintains its curved shape in an arcuate cross-section, and on both sides of the curved portion 8,
It has a flat part 10 laid on a flat part 9 of the floor 2. Then, as shown in FIG. 2, the pile yarns 5 in the curved portion 8 of the base fabric 4 are planted at a higher density than the pile yarns 5 in the flat portion 10. Incidentally, the difference in the density of the pile yarn 5 between the curved part 8 and the flat part 10 of the base fabric 4 is approximately 60
% or less is preferable. Reference numeral 11 denotes a resin layer made of synthetic resin formed on the back surface 7 of the base fabric 4. By thermoforming this resin layer 11, the base fabric 4 is kept in shape so as to conform to the floor 2.

It is stretched in area to be laid along. At this time, the curved portion 8 of the base fabric 4 has more pile yarn 5 than the flat portion 10.
are planted at a high density, so that even if the curved portion 8 is stretched in area, the pile yarns 5 in the curved portion 8 and the flat portion 10 appear to be planted at substantially the same density in appearance. appear.

When such a floor mat according to the present invention is laid or thermoformed to fit, for example, an automobile floor surface having a curved part and a flat part,
The pile threads laid on the curved part of the floor and the pile threads laid on the flat part of the floor appear to be laid at the same density, and the pile threads laid on the curved part of the floor Because the base fabric of the area is not visible from the outside due to the presence of the pile yarn, the appearance is extremely good.
