[Prior Art] Conventionally, the fourth method was used to detect the operating status of various devices (for example, the occurrence of an abnormality, etc.) and communicate it to a remote location.
An operating state monitoring device as shown in the figure has been proposed. In this device, when the detection circuit 41 detects an abnormality in the device, the drive circuit 42 drives the light emitting element 43 to emit light. Light emission information from the light emitting element 43 is detected by the light receiving element 51, and after this detected information is received by the receiving circuit 52, it is transmitted to a remote location via a signal cable (not shown).

On the other hand, one end of an optical fiber 53 is arranged at a position where light from the light emitting element 43 is transmitted.
The other end of the fiber 53 is guided to a visible position. By looking into the other end of the optical fiber 53, it is possible to monitor the light emitting state of the light emitting element 43, that is, the operating state of the device even at this position.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] However, this type of device has the following problems. That is, external light is transmitted through the optical fiber 53.
This light enters the device through the light receiving element 51.
There is a risk that the situation could be detoured into. For this reason, even though there is no abnormality in the device, it is determined that the device is abnormal at a remote location, resulting in poor reliability as a monitoring device.

That is, the present invention provides an operating state monitoring device that monitors the operating state of equipment and transmits the monitoring information to a remote location, which is disposed close to a light emitting indicator that displays the operating state of the equipment by emitting light. a light receiving unit that receives light from the light emitting display and transmits the received light information to a remote location via a signal cable, an optical fiber that guides the light from the light emitting display to a visible position, and a casing that houses the light receiving unit and the optical fiber. a first polarizing plate disposed between the optical fiber and the light emitting display or a visible position; and the first polarizing plate disposed between the light emitting display and the light receiving section. A second polarizing plate whose polarization directions are perpendicular to each other is provided.

[Operation] With the above configuration, the light that is introduced into the device via the optical fiber and wraps around to the light receiving section side passes through two polarizing plates whose polarization directions are perpendicular to each other. As a result, the amount of external light that enters the light receiving section becomes extremely small (in principle, zero). Therefore, the light receiving section does not malfunction due to the influence of external light, and it is possible to prevent inconveniences such as erroneous information being transmitted to a remote location due to the influence of external light.

Reference numerals 20 to 25 in the figure indicate an operating state monitoring device according to this embodiment, in which a light receiving element 21, a receiving circuit 22, an optical fiber 23, and polarizing plates 24 and 25 are housed in a light receiving unit housing 20. . The light receiving unit housing 20 is provided at a position from which the light from the light emitting element 13 is led out. The first polarizing plate 24 and the second polarizing plate 25 have polarization directions perpendicular to each other, and are disposed close to each other at a position facing the light transmission window 14 . The light from the light emitting element 13 passes through the second polarizing plate 25 and enters the light receiving element 21 . The light receiving element 21 is made of, for example, a phototransistor, and its light receiving signal is supplied to the receiving circuit 22. The received light signal is sent from this receiving circuit 22 to a remote location via a signal cable (not shown).

On the other hand, the light from the light emitting element 13 passes through the first polarizing plate 24 and enters one end of the optical fiber 23 . The other end of the optical fiber 23 is guided to a visible position. Therefore, by looking into the other end of the optical fiber 23, the light emitting condition of the light emitting element 13 can be observed.

The light-receiving unit housing 20, which houses and integrates the light-receiving element 21, the receiving circuit 22, the optical fiber 23, the polarizing plates 24, 25, etc., is attached to the light-emitting unit housing 10 by screws or the like. Further, the fastening is not limited to screws, and the light-emitting unit housing 10 may be provided with a hook, and the light-receiving unit housing 20 may be fastened to the hook with a band.

With such a configuration, the light from the light emitting element 13 will enter the light receiving element 21 or the optical fiber 23 via the first or second polarizing plate 24 or 25 as shown in FIG. , the amount of light incident on the light receiving element 21 and the optical fiber 23 is reduced. However, the amount of light emitted from the light emitting element 13 is generally sufficiently large, and this degree of attenuation of light does not pose any problem. Therefore, like the conventional device, the light emission information of the light emitting element 13 can be transmitted to a remote location by the light receiving element 21 and the receiving circuit 22, and furthermore, the light emission information can be visually observed from a room near the device by the optical fiber 23. can do.

In this case, external light that is introduced into the housing 20 via the optical fiber 23 and wraps around the light receiving element 21 is transmitted through the first and second polarizing plates 2 as shown in FIG.
It will pass through 4.25. Here, since the polarization directions of the polarizing plates 24 and 25 are perpendicular to each other, almost no external light is introduced into the light receiving element 21.
Therefore, the light receiving element 21 does not malfunction due to the influence of external light, and it is possible to prevent a false abnormality signal from being transmitted to a remote location. Therefore, reliability as a monitoring device can be improved. In addition, two polarizing plates 2 are added to the conventional device.
It also has the advantage that it can be realized with a simple configuration just by adding 4 and 25.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above. For example, the light emitting element of the light emitting section is not limited to a light emitting diode, but a semiconductor laser, a normal light emitting lamp, etc. can be used. Further, the light emitting element of the light receiving section is not limited to a phototransistor, and a photodiode or other photoelectric conversion element can be used. Furthermore, the position of the first polarizing plate is not limited to between the optical fiber and the light emitting section, but may be between the optical fiber and the light receiving section. Further, the display information of the light emitting section is not limited to abnormality information, and may be detection information such as a flow rate signal or color. In addition, various modifications can be made without departing from the gist of the present invention.
