The present invention is based on the fact that in a golf club head having a ceramic sprayed coating on the ball hitting surface, an intermediate layer consisting of a sprayed coating layer of a mixed powder of metal powder and hard resin powder is provided between the head material and the ceramic sprayed coating. Thus, the above problems were solved.

An intermediate layer consisting of a sprayed coating layer of a mixed powder of metal powder and hard resin powder provided between the head material and the ceramic sprayed coating improves the bonding between the head material and the ceramic sprayed coating, and improves the bonding properties of the ball hitting surface. The ceramic spray coating formed on the head material moderately buffers the impact of the ball when hit, and the repulsive force of the head material is transmitted to the ball, increasing the flight distance and accuracy of the ball.

A top layer 3 is formed on the shock absorbing layer 1. The material and thickness of the shock absorbing layer 1 must be adjusted depending on the materials of the head material and the top layer 3. When the material forming the sweet spot area surface 2 of the wood is made of carbon, and the top layer 3 is made of alumina, titania, and composite oxide, 95% by weight of stainless steel, 2.5% by weight of epoxy resin, and 2.5% by weight of nylon are used. Spraying material consisting of 0.05% by weight using a gas plasma spray gun
A ball with a shock absorbing layer made of a thermally sprayed coating with a thickness of about mm is most suitable from the viewpoint of adhesion to the material and transmission of impact when hitting the ball.

It is desirable that the ceramic film has strong interparticle bonding properties, and from this point of view, a composite oxide of alumina and titania, which is dense and has excellent interparticle bonding strength compared to other ceramic films, is suitable. . The top layer 3 is completed by forming a thermal spray layer using a gas plasma spray gun, and applying resin coating as a post-treatment.

With this invention, it is possible to easily manufacture a head with ball-hitting properties similar to those embedded with ceramic blocks, and in addition, it is possible to easily manufacture a head with ball-striking properties similar to those embedded with ceramic blocks. Since the shock absorbing layer relieves the stress, durability is improved, and a head with properties that combines the high repulsion of the ceramic material itself with the properties of the head material can be obtained.
