These rolling rolls consist of a body that contacts the metal or alloy plate to be rolled and a shaft neck that rotatably supports the roll. The body may be formed into a straight cylindrical shape or The diameter of the center part is made slightly larger than that of both ends, and the body part is formed into a shape having a so-called roll crown in consideration of elastic deformation. The roll having this roll crown has a diameter that decreases from the center to both ends so that the surface of the body draws a gentle curve.

There was a problem in that the phenomenon of adhesion to the surface of metal or alloy plates occurred.

Therefore, a jig for polishing the rolls is usually inserted between the rolls, and the roll polishing of the body is performed while rotating the rolls. Since polishing powder and the like remain on the roll surface after this polishing, these polishing powders and the like are removed using an organic solvent or the like.

The body portion 12 is cut using a cylindrical grinder or the like so that the diameter is slightly smaller than the diameter of the central portion 12a. In this way, the diameter of the end portion 12b is adjusted to the center portion 1.
The reason why the diameter is slightly smaller than that of 2a is to maintain the uniformity of the roll surface even if the roll polishing of the body is continued for a long period of time, which is done by inserting a jig for polishing rolls between the rolls. This is to make it possible.

A groove 16 of = 3 mm and depth = 2 mm is cut. By cutting the groove 16, a wall portion 18 is formed on the outside thereof to prevent organic solvents and the like from flowing out.
