アーム6,6を介して垂直面内自転及び水平面内
公転可能に配設された回転ローラ7,7とによつ
て構成される混練装置が使用される。尚図中8,
8は回転ローラ加圧用のシリンダである。

定してみた。その結果は第2図実線の通りであつ
た。尚第2図におけるB〜Dの各区間は第1図に
示すようにB区間が回転軸4の外側から回転ロー
ラ7の内側に至るまでの区間、C区間は回転ロー
ラ7の横幅、D区間は回転ローラ7の外側から側
壁1に至るまでの区間である。また第1図におけ
るA区間は回転軸4の直径を示す。したがつて第
2図における高硬度の範囲はC区間全域であるこ
とが混練効率の面でみると望ましいことである。
しかし実際には、回転ローラ7により踏み付けら
れた部分の内側の1/3程度が急激に硬度が落ちて
いることがわかる。

べく詳しく調べてみた結果、前記B区間とD区間
の寸法関係がB=1.2Dになつていることを発見
した。このことからB区間にある生型砂はC区間
の生型砂が回転ローラにより踏み付けられた際に
A区間の方向へ逃げる(移動する)ためではない
かと予測した。この予測に基づいて回転軸7の径
を太くしてB区間の寸法を短くし、B区間とD区
間との寸法を等しくした混練装置を製作した。
