(Prior Art) Conventionally, in an exhaust gas recirculation device, when part of the exhaust gas is recirculated from the exhaust system to the intake system through the recirculation passage, a recirculation amount control valve is provided in the recirculation passage to control the recirculation amount of the exhaust gas. is controlled according to the operating status of the engine. Additionally, electronically controlled exhaust gas recirculation devices are being employed for the purpose of more strictly controlling the recirculation of exhaust gas.
This electronically controlled exhaust gas recirculation system detects the engine operating condition by detecting the engine load, engine speed, etc., and the control device adjusts the recirculation control valve to the optimal recirculation amount stored in advance for this operating condition. In addition, there is a technology that detects atmospheric pressure and corrects it to increase the amount of exhaust gas recirculation when the atmospheric pressure decreases at high altitudes, etc., as seen in, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 14844/1983. known to.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, when the amount of exhaust gas recirculation is increased in accordance with the decrease in atmospheric pressure as described above,
If the recirculation amount is uniformly increased even in the low intake air amount region when the air pressure drops, there is a problem in that the drivability in this region, particularly in the low rotation and low load region, deteriorates, resulting in poor running performance.

In other words, if the amount of exhaust gas recirculation is uniformly increased even in low intake air flow areas such as when starting or when driving at low speeds, there is a risk that smooth running performance may not be obtained due to the recirculation of a large amount of exhaust gas. In this area, the impact on drivers is significant and improvements are required. In addition, especially in vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, there is less freedom to change the engine speed relative to the vehicle speed, so the vehicle may continue to be driven in the region with reduced running performance as described above. , undesirable.

On the other hand, in engines that supply secondary air to the engine exhaust system using a reed valve to improve exhaust purification, the exhaust pulsation increases at high engine speeds and the pulsation cycle becomes shorter. The opening time of the reed valve becomes longer, and the amount of secondary air supplied to the exhaust system increases. This secondary air is then sucked into the exhaust system when the pressure in the exhaust system becomes negative, so it flows back into the exhaust gas recirculation passage and is supplied to the intake system through this exhaust gas recirculation passage. There is also the problem that the exhaust gas contains a portion of secondary air, which reduces the amount of exhaust gas that is actually recirculated, impairing the NOx reduction effect.

Therefore, in view of the above circumstances, the present invention provides an engine exhaust gas that is capable of sufficiently suppressing NOx during low air pressure at high altitudes, etc., without causing a decrease in running performance in low intake air volume regions such as when starting or running at low speeds. The purpose is to provide a gas reflux device.

(Function) In the exhaust gas recirculation device as described above, the exhaust gas recirculation means 7 recirculates the amount of exhaust gas according to the operating state of the engine, and at high altitudes, the amount of exhaust gas is recirculated according to the signal from the atmospheric pressure detection means 8. While increasing the exhaust gas recirculation amount to ensure NOx purification performance, the above-mentioned increase correction of the exhaust gas recirculation amount is restricted in the low intake air amount region, and the exhaust gas recirculation amount is increased in the low intake air amount region when the air pressure drops, especially at low rotation speeds. In addition to improving the deterioration of drivability due to the recirculation of a large amount of exhaust gas in the low load region, by reducing the amount of exhaust gas recirculation mentioned above at high speeds, it is possible to reduce the amount of recirculated exhaust gas that increases at high speeds. Even if there is secondary air mixed in
This is designed to prevent deterioration of NOx purification performance.

The control unit 27 receives the signals from each sensor and determines the basic exhaust gas recirculation amount, that is, the basic lift amount of the recirculation control valve 5, according to the intake negative pressure (load) and the engine speed. Further, in accordance with the signal from the atmospheric pressure sensor 30, a first corrected lift amount is determined so as to increase the amount of exhaust gas recirculation due to a decrease in atmospheric pressure. Further, in a low rotational load state, a second correction lift amount is determined to increase the amount of exhaust gas recirculation when the atmospheric pressure decreases based on the output of the atmospheric pressure sensor 30, that is, to reduce the first correction lift amount. Then, a final target lift amount is calculated from the basic lift amount and the first and second corrected lift amounts, and the recirculation control valve 5 outputs a duty control signal to both the solenoid valves 20 and 22 such that the final target lift amount is achieved. It is something to do. Further, whether or not the recirculation control valve 5 is operating to the target lift amount is compared with the lift amount detected by the position sensor 31, and the duty control signal is feedback-controlled so that the two match.

The operation of the control unit 27 will be explained based on the flowchart shown in FIG. After starting the engine, various signals such as intake negative pressure from the negative pressure sensor 28, engine speed from the rotation sensor 29, atmospheric pressure from the atmospheric pressure sensor 30, and lift amount from the position sensor 31 are read in step S1. Then, in step S2, the basic exhaust gas recirculation amount, that is, the basic target lift amount Pb of the recirculation control valve 5, is determined by map interpolation based on a preset map based on the engine speed and intake negative pressure (load). The larger the lift amount is, the more the exhaust gas recirculation amount increases.

As an example is shown in Fig. 4, the first correction value P 1 corresponding to
The map is set so that when the atmospheric pressure becomes less than the set atmospheric pressure (635 mmHg), a certain upper limit value (10) is reached.
This is because while the amount of exhaust gas recirculation is increased in response to a decrease in atmospheric pressure, if the amount increases beyond the upper limit value, driving performance deteriorates, so the exhaust gas recirculation amount is regulated to this upper limit value.

In step S4, it is determined whether or not the detected atmospheric pressure A is greater than or equal to a predetermined value A0 (for example, 685 mmHg).If this determination is YES and the atmospheric pressure has decreased, step S5 determines whether the intake negative pressure is in a low load state or not. B is the setting value
Judgment is made based on whether or not it is below B 0 (eg -300mmHg). If the judgment in step S5 is YES and the load is low, then in step S6 a second correction value P2 of the lift amount is determined by map interpolation based on a preset map based on the engine speed.
Find the (subtraction value). The second correction value P 2 corresponding to the rotation speed is set to a predetermined value (5) when the rotation speed is below the set rotation speed (1250 rpm), and when the rotation speed exceeds the set rotation speed, as shown in FIG. It is set to 0 in the other areas. At low engine speeds, the increase in exhaust gas recirculation amount is corrected by the first correction value P 1 according to the decrease in atmospheric pressure, and the increase in the recirculation amount is reduced by subtracting the second correction value P 2 . In the region where the rotational speed is exceeded, the increase correction based on the first correction value P1 is performed as is. Note that, in a region below the set rotation speed (1250 rpm), the second correction value P 2 may be set to a characteristic such that it gradually increases as the rotation speed decreases, as shown by the chain line.

On the other hand, if the judgment in either step S4 or S5 is NO, and there is no large pressure drop or the load is higher than the set load, the second correction value P2 is set to 0 in step S7, and the correction is not performed. It is. Note that the determination in step S4 when the atmospheric pressure has decreased may be determined based on the magnitude of the first correction value P1 determined in step S3.

Then, the basic lift amount calculated as above
From Pb, the first correction value P1 , and the second correction value P2 , the final target lift amount P=Pb+ P1 - P2 is calculated in step S8, and in step S9, the operating amount of the reflux control valve 5 is A duty control amount such that the amount P is obtained is determined, and a duty control signal corresponding to the amount is outputted to the negative pressure and atmospheric solenoid valves 20 and 22 in step S10.

Next, in step S11 position sensor 3
The actual lift amount detected in step 1 is compared with the target lift amount P, and it is determined whether the actual lift amount has reached the target lift amount. If NO judgment is made that the two do not match, a corrected duty control amount corresponding to the difference between the target lift amount and the actual lift amount is determined in step S12, and a duty control signal corresponding to this is determined in step S10 to be applied to the negative pressure and atmospheric solenoid valves. 20,2
2, and the duty control signal is feedback-controlled until the determination in step S11 becomes YES and the two match.

Therefore, according to the above-described embodiment, by increasing the amount of exhaust gas recirculated when the atmospheric pressure decreases, and by reducing the above-mentioned increase correction in the low rotation and low load region when the atmospheric pressure decreases, the running speed is improved. It is something that can improve your sexuality. Furthermore, at high engine speeds, by eliminating the reduction correction using the second correction value and performing only the increase correction using the first correction value, the secondary air into the recirculated exhaust gas due to the increase in the supply amount of secondary air due to the increase in exhaust pulsation can be reduced. It is possible to prevent a decrease in NOx purification performance due to a reduction in the amount of recirculated exhaust gas due to the mixing of secondary air.

(Effects of the Invention) According to the present invention as described above, when the atmospheric pressure decreases at high altitudes, the amount of exhaust gas recirculation is corrected to increase.
While ensuring NOx purification performance, the above-mentioned increase in exhaust gas recirculation amount is regulated in operating conditions with a low intake air amount, which allows a large amount of exhaust gas to be recirculated in the low intake air amount region when the air pressure drops. This makes it possible to improve the deterioration in drivability caused by this and ensure good improvement.
