Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本考案は樹脂管(例.ポリエチレンパイプある
いはプラスチツクパイプ)どうしを突合せ融着す
る、あるいはソケツト、チーズ、エルボ等の樹脂
製(例.ポリエチレン)の管継手を樹脂管に融着
するパイプ融着機に関する。
近年、ガス管として従来の金属管に代えてポリ
エチレン等の樹脂管が多用されるようになつてき
ている。そして斯かる樹脂管どうしの接続には樹
脂管どうしを直接、あるいはソケツト、エルボ、
チーズ、サドル等の樹脂製の管継手を介して加熱
融着により行われる。即ち、例えば管どうしを突
合せ融着する場合には、両管の接合面をヒータで
加熱溶融し、その加熱溶融面どうしを所定圧力で
圧着する方法がとられている。こうして圧着され
た一対の管は一定時間放冷後に完全に一体化結合
される。
斯かるパイプ融着機はその用途に応じて、バツ
ト融着機(パイプどうしの突合せ接合)、サドル
融着機(サドルとパイプとの接合)、ソケツト融
着機(ソケツトとパイプとの接合)等と称される
が本考案はこのような融着機全般に適用し得るも
のであるが、以下では便宜上ソケツト融着機を例
にとつて説明する。
〔従来の技術〕
かかる融着機において融着されるべきパイプと
ソケツトとは平行案内棒に沿つて相対的に接近、
離反可能な一対のバイスによつて保持され、この
バイスの一方を案内棒に沿つて動かすための作動
機構は送りねじ軸機構が採用されている。そして
送りねじ軸を回転作動させるためのモータが融着
機本体に組み込まれている。
〔考案が解決しようとする問題点〕
しかるに上記の如くモータを融着機本体に内蔵
しているために機械本体が大型かつ重くなりがち
である。
本考案の目的は送りねじ軸の作動駆動源として
外部の市販の電動ドリルを利用するという着想の
もとに融着機本体からモータを除去し、小型、軽
量で持ち運び可能なパイプ融着機を提供すること
である。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
上記目的を達成するために本考案によれば、送
りねじ軸式作動機構には外部の電動ドリルのチヤ
ツクのあご部に挿着可能な回転駆動軸が設けられ
る。
〔作用〕
作業時に上記回転駆動軸を適当な市販の電動ド
リルのチヤツクのあご部(くわえ部)に差し込み
固定することにより送りねじ軸が回転作動せしめ
られる。
〔実施例〕
以下、添付図面を参照してソケツト融着機の場
合を例にとり本考案を詳細に説明する。
第1〜5図は都市ガス用導管としてのポリエチ
レン管Pの端面にソケツトSを融着接合するソケ
ツト融着機全体の概要を示し、図において2は接
合すべき一方の管Pを挾持するクランプ(バイ
ス)、3はソケツトSを挾持するクランプ(バイ
ス)で、クランプ2,3は枢軸ピン4を介して枢
動可能な二つ割り式に拡開可能なリング体2a,
2b;3a,3bにより形成される。二つ割リン
グ体2a,2b;3a,3bで管P、ソケツトS
を挾み、二つ割りリングの一方2b,3bに設け
た枢動アーム6に取り付けた締付けボルト7を上
方リング体2a,3aの肩部14上に締め付ける
ことにより管P、ソケツトSをクランプする。
尚、クランプリング体2a,3aは第5図におい
てボルト7を緩めて反時計方向に回すことにより
枢動ピン4を中心として開放することができる。
クランプ2,3のうち一方のクランプ2は不動
であり、他方のクランプ3はその下部ブロツク8
が一対の平行案内棒10,10に沿つてスライド
自在に取付けられる。即ち、クランプ3はクラン
プ2に向つて接近・離反する往復台を構成する。
案内棒10,10の一端はクランプ2、他端は本
体1に設けたブラケツト11に夫々固定される。
クランプ3を軸線方向に動かすためのアクチユエ
ータとして送りねじ軸12が設けられる。送りね
じ軸12はその一端12aが固定クランプ2の下
方に設けられる軸受部13に回転可能に軸支さ
れ、他端12bは本体1に設けた軸受部15に回
転自在に軸支される。送りねじ軸12の端部12
bの外端部には歯車17が固設される。この歯車
17は本体1内に設けられる軸20に回転自在に
軸支される中間歯車19を介して歯車21に連結
される。歯車21は軸22に軸支され、その一端
は本体1の外部に突出し本考案の特徴である回転
駆動軸22を構成する。
この回転駆動軸22は市販の電動ドリル50の
チヤツク51のあご部(くわえ部)53内に挿
入、固定可能となつている。従つて電動ドリル5
0により回転駆動軸22を回転させることにより
歯車21,19,17を介して送りねじ軸12を
回転させることができる。クランプ3の下方リン
グ体3bに一体的なブロツク8にはねじ軸12が
螺合するねじ孔9が形成され、従つてブロツク8
は送りねじ軸12に対するナツト部材を形成す
る。つまり、送りねじ軸12が回転することによ
りクランプ3を案内棒10,10に沿つて前後動
することができる。
クランプ2,3の頂部に設けられるピン31に
はこれに嵌合するピン孔33を有するアーム35
を有するヒータ30が取り外し自在にとり付けら
れる。
ヒータ30の本体37には例えばパイプP用の
ヒータフエース39とソケツトS用のヒータフエ
ース38が設けられ、これらヒータフエース3
9,38にパイプP、ソケツトSが押し付けられ
加熱される。ヒータは例えば内部にヒータ線を有
する通常の電気ヒータであり、好ましくはその表
面に抵抗温度計あるいは熱電温度計等の温度セン
サ(図示せず)が設けられヒータの温度を所定値
に制御する。
ヒータ30によりパイプPとソケツトSの端面
を所定時間加熱したら、ヒータを素早く取り外
し、パイプPとソケツトSの融着端面どうしを圧
着することにより融着が完了する。
送りねじ軸12はパイプP及びソケツトSをヒ
ータ30のヒータフエース39,38に圧接する
とき、及びパイプPとソケツトSとを融着すると
きに作動せしめられ必要な軸方向の圧着力を与え
る。歯車列17,19,21はその歯数比を適当
に選定することにより減速装置あるいは増速装置
として役立つ。
〔考案の効果〕
以上に記載した如く本考案によれば融着機本体
には送りねじ軸の回転駆動軸を突出させるだけで
よく、その回転駆動源としては外部の電動ドリル
を利用することにろい融着機本体内にはモータ等
の回転駆動源を設ける必要はなく、その構成が簡
素化、小型化、軽量化される。

  1. 平行案内棒に沿つて相対的に接近・離反可能な
    一対のバイス装置と、該バイス装置を相対的に接
    近・離反せしめる送りねじ軸式作動機構とを有す
    るパイプ融着機であつて、上記作動機構は外部の
    電動ドリルのチヤツクのあご部に挿着可能な回転
    駆動軸を有することを特徴とするパイプ融着機。
