The present invention relates to an adhesive for laminating various films, and particularly to a solvent-free adhesive composition that cures in a short time using an active energy source such as an electron beam, is flexible, and has high adhesive strength. Conventionally, solvent-based adhesives have been used as adhesives for laminating various films. However, these solvent-based adhesives not only pollute the work environment and the atmosphere due to the organic solvent volatilizing during bonding, but also consume resources and energy due to the use of the solvent itself and the need for heating to volatilize the solvent. I don't like it because it wastes money. Furthermore, the use of laminate films for food packaging is not preferred because the solvent inevitably remains in the adhesive layer. Therefore, in recent years, consideration has been given to developing adhesives that are solvent-free or similar. For example, some urethane-based high solids adhesives have been put into practical use, but because of their high viscosity, they have poor workability during application and have almost no adhesive strength after being applied.
After ~7 days, the reaction is completed and strength is developed. Therefore, it was not possible to proceed to the next step immediately after coating. On the other hand, lamination using adhesives that are cured by electron beams has also been considered.
No. 83574 and the like disclose electron beam curing adhesives for lamination. However, the adhesives disclosed in these inventions have a high viscosity and are difficult to apply, especially in thin films, and have insufficient adhesive strength, so they are hardly ever used in practice. . The inventors of the present invention have conducted intensive studies to develop an adhesive that improves the drawbacks of the conventional electron beam curing adhesive for lamination as described above, and have identified a combination of mono(meth)acrylate and urethane prepolymer. The present inventors have discovered that this object can be achieved by the following methods and have arrived at the present invention. That is, the present invention provides (A) 30 to 90% by weight of mono(meth)acrylate represented by general formula (1) [Here, R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are hydrogen or
In the CH 3 group, l and m represent integers of 0 to 5. ], (B) 0 to 30% by weight of polyvalent (meth)acrylate and (C) 10 to 50% by weight of a urethane prepolymer containing 0.5 to 7% of active NCO groups. A mold adhesive composition. The composition of the present invention is an adhesive composition suitable for lamination, etc., because it cures quickly when irradiated with active energy rays such as electron beams and has excellent adhesive strength. In the present invention, (meth)acrylate means both acrylate and methacrylate. Specific examples of mono(meth)acrylate (A) in the present invention include (meth)acrylate of parabenzylphenol or paracumylphenol, addition of 1 to 5 moles of ethylene oxide or propylene oxide to parabenzylphenol or paracumylphenol. Examples include (meth)acrylates of monools. More specifically, parabenzylphenol (meth)acrylate, paracumylphenol (meth)acrylate, ethylene glycol monoparabenzyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, ethylene glycol monoparacumyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, diethylene glycol monoparaben Zyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, diethylene glycol monoparacumyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, triethylene glycol monoparabenzyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, tetraethylene glycol monoparacumyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, pentaethylene glycol Monobenzyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, Propylene glycol monoparabenzyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, Propylene glycol monoparacumyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, Dipropylene glycol monoparabenzyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, Dipropylene glycol monoparabenzyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, Propylene glycol monoparacumyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, tripropylene glycol monoparabenzyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, tripropylene glycol monoparacumyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, tetrapropylene glycol monoparabenzyl phenyl ether (meth) ) acrylate, pentapropylene glycol monoparacumyl phenyl ether (meth)acrylate, (meth)acrylate of 1 mol of ethylene oxide adduct of dipropylene glycol monoparacumyl phenyl ether, 2 mol of propylene oxide of triethylene glycol monoparabenzyl phenyl ether adduct (meta)
Examples include acrylate. These mono(meth)acrylates may be used alone or in combination of two or more. (B) Polyvalent (meth)acrylate in the present invention is a compound having two or more acryloyl groups or methacryloyl groups in the molecule, and specific examples thereof are shown below. (1) Poly(meth)acrylate of polyol Acrylic ester or methacrylic ester of polyol. Specific examples of polyols include ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, butanediol, hexanediol,
Examples include neopentyl glycol, cyclohexanedimethanol, hydrogenated bisphenol A, trimethylolpropane, glycerin, pentaerythritol, and dipentaerythritol. (2) Poly(meth)acrylate of polyether polyol Acrylic ester or methacrylic ester of polyether polyol. Polyether polyols include triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, tripropylene glycol, tetrapropylene glycol, and polypropylene. Adding 1 ethylene oxide or propylene oxide to glycol, polyoxytetramethylene glycol, polyoxypropylene triol, polyoxytetramethylene triol, the above-mentioned polyols, polyether polyol, bisphenol A, bisphenol F, etc.
Examples include polyols added in moles or more. (3) Poly(meth)acrylate of polyester polyol Acrylic ester or methacrylic ester of polyester polyol. Polyester polyols include the above-mentioned polyols and polyether polyols, succinic acid, adipic acid, sebacic acid, dodecanedicarboxylic acid, and tetrahydro anhydride. Two hydroxyl groups in the molecule made from polybasic acids such as phthalic acid, hexahydrophthalic anhydride, methyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride, phthalic anhydride, isophthalic acid, terephthalic acid, trimellitic anhydride, maleic anhydride, and fumaric acid. (4) Epoxy (meth)acrylate A resin made by adding methacrylic acid or acrylic acid to an epoxy resin. Examples of epoxy resins include bisphenol A diglycidyl ether, bisphenol F diglycidyl ether, Novolac polyglycidyl ether, and ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether. Glycidyl ether, neopentyl glycol diglycidyl ether, trimethylolpropane triglycidyl ether, tetrahydrophthalic acid diglycidyl ester, Union Carbide products ERL-4206, ERL-4221,
Examples include ERL-4299. (5) Urethane (meth)acrylate The above-mentioned polyols, polyether polyols, and polyester polyols, tolylene diisocyanate, diphenylmethane-4,4'-
Diisocyanate compounds such as diisocyanate, hexamethylene diisocyanate, isophorone diisocyanate, xylylene diisocyanate, and naphthalene diisocyanate, and hydroxyl groups such as hydroxyethyl acrylate, hydroxyethyl methacrylate, hydroxypropyl acrylate, and hydroxypropyl methacrylate. It is a (meth)acrylate compound that is substantially free of active NCO groups and is produced by reaction with a (meth)acrylate that has an active NCO group. In the present invention, the polyvalent (meth)acrylate compounds described above can be used alone or in combination of two or more. In the present invention, (C) urethane prepolymer containing active NCO groups refers to urethane prepolymer containing active NCO groups in the molecule.
Polyurethane polymers having 0.5 to 7% and substantially no (meth)acrylate groups, such as polyols, polyether polyols, polyester polyols, and diamines such as ethylene diamine, hexamethylene diamine, and polyoxypropylene diamine, Furthermore, it is made from an amino alcohol or the like and a diisocyanate compound as mentioned above. In this case, by using the isocyanate group in the diisocyanate compound used in excess of the active hydrogen such as hydroxyl group or amino group, an active NCO group can be contained in the molecule. This active NCO group is 0.5
-7% is preferred; if the NCO group content does not exceed 0.5%, the adhesive strength will be weak, while if it exceeds 7%, the storage stability of the adhesive will be poor and the adhesive strength will change significantly over time. In this case, % NCO groups means the weight of NCO groups in 100 g of urethane prepolymer. The molecular weight of the urethane prepolymer in the present invention is usually 500 to 100,000, preferably 1,000 to 50,000. Moreover, urethane prepolymers can be used alone or in combination of two or more. In the adhesive composition of the present invention, the proportion of each component used is preferably 30 to 90% by weight for (A) mono(meth)acrylate, and 30% by weight for mono(meth)acrylate.
If the amount does not exceed % by weight, not only will it take time to develop adhesive strength, but the viscosity of the adhesive will become too high, making it difficult to apply the adhesive. On the other hand, if the mono(meth)acrylate content exceeds 90% by weight, the adhesive strength will be weak. (B) Polyvalent (meth)acrylate does not necessarily need to be added, but adding it not only increases the curing speed but also improves the adhesive strength when heated, reducing the amount used. If it exceeds 30% by weight, the adhesive strength will become weaker, which is not preferable. The amount of urethane prepolymer used in (C) is 10% by weight.
If it does not exceed 50% by weight, the adhesive strength will be weak, and if it exceeds 50% by weight, the viscosity of the adhesive will become high, making it difficult to apply or requiring a long time for curing, which is undesirable. Other monomers copolymerizable with the mono(meth)acrylate (A) may be added to the adhesive composition of the present invention. Monomers that can be used are preferably those that do not have functional groups that easily react with active NCO groups, such as methyl (meth)acrylate, ethyl (meth)acrylate, butyl (meth)acrylate, and 2-ethylhexyl (meth)acrylate.

Furthermore, a so-called sensitizer can be used in the composition of the present invention, if necessary. Specific examples of the sensitizer include benzoin alkyl ethers such as benzoin methyl ether and benzoin butyl ether, benzophenone, acetylphenone, 2-ethylanthraquinone, 2-butylanthraquinone, Michler's ketone, benzyl, benzyl dimethyl ketal, 2-hydroxy-2 -Methylpropiophenone, 2-chlorothioxanthone, and the like. Furthermore, various additives can be added to the composition of the present invention. For example, thickeners, thixotropic agents, anti-cissing agents, leveling agents, tackifiers, radical polymerization inhibitors, plasticizers, various polymers, dyes, pigments, inorganic and organic fillers, stabilizers, antifoaming agents. , coupling agents, etc. A solvent may also be added depending on the case. Heating may be performed simultaneously with, or before or after irradiation with this active energy ray. The adhesive composition of the present invention is useful not only as an adhesive for bonding films as described above, that is, for lamination, but also as a pressure-sensitive adhesive. The present invention will be explained in more detail below using examples. Note that parts and percentages in each of these examples are expressed on a weight basis unless otherwise specified. Synthesis Example 1 500 parts of polyoxypropylene glycol with a molecular weight of 1000, 146 parts of hexamethylene diisocyanate, and 0.1 part of dibutyltin dilaurate were placed in a four-necked flask equipped with the thermometer, stirrer, and condenser from 1.
The mixture was reacted at 70° C. for 5 hours under a nitrogen gas stream to synthesize urethane prepolymer (C-1). The NCO group content of this urethane prepolymer is 4.8%
It was hot. Synthesis Example 2 In the same manner as in Synthesis Example 1, 500 parts of polyoxytetramethylene glycol with a molecular weight of 2000, 2,4-
Urethane prepolymer (C
-2) was synthesized. This urethane prepolymer
The NCO group content was 1.8%. Synthesis Example 3 500 parts of polyester polyol with a molecular weight of 2000 made from neopentyl glycol and adipic acid,
Urethane prepolymer (C-3) was synthesized using 74 parts of isophorone diisocyanate and 0.1 part of dibutyltin dilaurate in the same manner as in Synthesis Example 1. The NCO group content of this urethane prepolymer was 1.2%. Example 1 An adhesive composition was prepared by mixing 40 parts of the urethane prepolymer (C-1) synthesized in Synthesis Example 1 and 60 parts of ethylene glycol monobenzyl phenyl ether acrylate. The viscosity of this composition is
It was 2200 centipoise. Next, about 5 μm of this adhesive was applied to a corona discharge-treated 16 μm polyester film (manufactured by Toray Industries, Inc., trade name “Lumirror”) using a gravure coater, and a 50 μm polyethylene film was further laminated thereon. This bonded film was cured by irradiating it with an electron beam at a dose of 5 megarads at 150 keV and 15 mA using an electron beam irradiation device. Next, the laminate film mounted in this manner was left to stand at room temperature for 24 hours, and then the mounting strength was measured in a 15 mm test piece using an Instron tensile tester at a tensile speed of 50 mm/min. Attachment strength is 480
The film broke midway when the load exceeded g. Example 2 After preparing an adhesive having the composition shown in Table 1 in the same manner as in Example 1, a laminate film was prepared and the adhesive strength was evaluated. The results are summarized in Table 1.
