<Prior Art> As a water heater that performs on-off combustion control using feedforward control, devices described in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 127249/1982 and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 86530/1982 have been provided. These devices measure the temperature of water entering the water heater,
Calculates the ratio of combustion on time and combustion off time in on-off combustion of the burner, or the ratio of cycle and combustion on, from the inlet water flow rate, set hot water outlet temperature, and combustion heat amount of the burner, and performs on-off combustion according to that ratio. That's what I do.

<Problems to be Solved by the Invention> However, in the conventional device described above, by calculating the on/off ratio of combustion, the amount of combustion heat of the burner as a whole can be adjusted to the required amount of combustion heat, but the amount of combustion heat is relatively low. Considering the situation within a short period of time,
There are cases where it cannot be said that an appropriate amount of heat is necessarily given. That is, even if the ratio between combustion on and combustion off is given, no special consideration is given as to how long the combustion on time and the combustion off time should actually be at that ratio.
This leaves a big problem, for example, when the on-off ratio is 1, whether to decide the on time and off time to be 1 second and 1 second, or to be 1 minute and 1 minute. That is, it includes the following problems.

In other words, in the on-off combustion control of water heaters, simply determining the combustion on time, combustion off time, and one cycle time so that the required heat amount and the combustion heat amount of the burner match will not solve the above problems. This will result in major problems for both parties.

The above-mentioned Utility Model Application No. 54-127249 and JP-A-61-
In the device described in Publication No. 86530, one of the on-off combustion cycle time, combustion on time, and combustion off time is simply set to a short constant value, and the remaining two times are simply calculated. However, it had drawbacks that seriously interfered with any of the problems mentioned above.

<Means for Solving the Problems> The present invention includes at least an incoming water temperature sensor, an incoming water flow rate sensor, an outgoing hot water temperature setting device, and a controller with a built-in microcomputer. In addition to calculating the amount of heat required per hour, the ratio of combustion on time and combustion off time is calculated from the burner's combustion heat amount per unit time. This is an on-off combustion control device for a water heater that instantaneously heats water to supply hot water, and the combustion on-time time corresponding to each combination of water input flow rate and required amount of heat is determined in advance and this is controlled by the microcomputer. The combustion on-off time is selected from the calculated required heat amount and the inflow water flow rate during feed forward control, and the combustion on-off time is selected from the selected combustion on-time and the calculated on-off ratio of combustion. The present invention is characterized in that an off-time is calculated, and on-off combustion is performed using the selected combustion on-time and the calculated combustion off-time.

A suitable combustion on time can be determined based on previously obtained data, depending on the capacity of the burner of the water heater. The combustion on time is determined by the area expressed as the vertical and horizontal axes of the incoming water flow rate and the required amount of heat.
The combustion can be performed by dividing into a plurality of regions and determining a suitable combustion on time for each region. For example, in areas where the incoming water flow rate is small and the required amount of heat is small, the combustion on time should be set short enough to avoid ignition and soot problems, and short enough to prevent instant boiling, even if the incoming water flow rate is small. In areas where the required amount of heat is large, the combustion on time can be set a little longer to the extent that boiling does not occur to extend the life. Furthermore, in areas where the incoming water flow rate is large and the required amount of heat is small, the combustion on time is set short to reduce temperature fluctuations. In addition, in areas where the incoming water flow rate is appropriate and the required amount of heat is appropriately large, this is an area that is used very frequently, and the fluctuations in the outlet temperature will not be too bad, so the combustion on time should be set relatively long. , the service life can be extended.

In this way, the present invention successfully covers various problems that may occur in water heaters by preparing in advance the combustion on time suitable for each area using the incoming water flow rate and the required amount of heat as parameters. It performs the necessary on-off combustion while maintaining the hot water discharge characteristics.

Here, instantaneous boiling means that the water that is being exchanged heat during combustion actually rises in temperature due to that heat exchange and boils.
This refers to boiling that occurs at times other than when water is mixed during combustion off.

When the hot water tap 10 is opened and hot water supply starts, the amount of water inputted from the water flow rate sensor 8, the water temperature inputted from the water temperature sensor 9, and the set hot water temperature set by the hot water temperature setting device 14. is read into the microcomputer 15 (a),
First, the required unit time (for example, per second)
The required amount of heat G 1 is calculated (b). Then, a pre-stored combustion on time is selected from the calculated required heat amount G 1 and the water input flow rate Q 1 (c).
An example of how to determine the combustion-on time will be explained with reference to Fig. 3. For example, the entire area in Fig. 3 is divided into areas A, B, and C, and a constant combustion-on time is set for each area. Give T ON .

In region A, the required amount of heat G 1 is small, so
A short combustion on time T ON =S is provided. By setting the combustion on time to a short time, instantaneous boiling is prevented, and fluctuations in the hot water temperature are suppressed to improve the hot water tap characteristics. Of course, this time S should not be shortened to the extent that it adversely affects the ignition operation, such as the generation of soot.

Next, in region B, the required amount of heat G 1 is large, so even if the combustion on time is longer than in the case of region A, the hot water tapping characteristics will not deteriorate so much, so the medium time combustion on time T ON =M Give.

In addition, in region C, the amount of water input is neither too large nor too small, and the required amount of heat G 1 is also relatively large, so the hot water output characteristics do not deteriorate so much and there is little worry of boiling, so it is the maximum use region for hot water supply. Taking this into consideration, in order to prioritize the life, the combustion on time is increased and T ON =L is given.

In addition, the actual values of the combustion on-times S, M, and L depend on the water supply capacity of the water heater and the capacity of the burner.
For example, it can be set in a range from a short period of time, such as several seconds, to a long period of time, such as several tens of seconds or, in some cases, several minutes.

In addition, in the above example, the area is divided into three areas A, B, and C, and the combustion on time is set to three areas, S, M, and L. Of course, it is also possible to divide the combustion on time into the following regions and give a narrower combustion on time.

When the combustion on time T ON is selected according to the above,
Combustion off time T OFF is calculated (d). To explain this calculation method in detail, for example, G 1 :G 0 =1:2...(1) G 1 : Required heat amount per unit time G 0 : Burner combustion heat amount per unit time , the ratio of the combustion on time T ON and the combustion off time T OFF of the burner may be set as T ON :T OFF =1:1 (2).

Therefore, if the combustion on time T ON of the burner is selected as 3 seconds, the combustion off time T OFF is also 3 seconds.
Calculated as seconds. By setting the combustion on time and combustion off time in this way, it is possible to provide the necessary amount of heat for each cycle.

Once the combustion on time T ON and the combustion off time T OFF are determined as described above, combustion is started according to the conditions (e). That is, a combustion on time T ON and a combustion off time T OFF are set in the controller 13, the on-off valve 12 is opened and closed at each set time, and combustion on and combustion off are repeated (F), (G), ( blood). Then, when the set outlet hot water temperature is changed, or when the incoming water temperature or incoming water flow rate changes (i), the combustion on time and combustion off time are newly set.

<Effects> The present invention has the above configuration and operation, and according to the on/off combustion control device for a water heater described in the claims, it is possible to simply obtain the ratio of combustion on and combustion off to obtain the required amount of heat. The combustion on time is selected from a pre-stored memory according to the combination of required heat amount and water inflow flow rate, and this combustion on time is used in addition to the above on/off ratio, so you can simply set the desired value roughly. Not only can hot water be discharged at a temperature of 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 can also be discharged with good quality, taking into account the characteristics of the water heater's burner and the water input flow rate. In other words, the system selects a suitable combustion-on time that is predetermined and stored in accordance with each combination of burner capacity, water inlet flow rate, and required heating amount. In this region, storing a short combustion on time ensures that such instantaneous boiling does not occur. Furthermore, the present invention does not calculate extremely short combustion on-times that would cause soot generation or make ignition difficult. In addition, for areas where the incoming water flow rate and required amount of heat are relatively large, areas where the hot water output characteristics do not deteriorate much or areas that are used relatively frequently, it is possible to memorize a relatively long combustion on time to turn the combustion on and off. This reduces the number of times the water heater needs to be used and extends the life of the water heater.
