[Industrial Field of Application] The present invention relates to a method for producing a stretched product which has good melt molding processability and also has good optical properties. [Prior Art] When thermoplastic resins are melt-molded, it is common practice to add a fluidity improver to improve the kneading properties inside an extruder. Particularly in the field of film molding or sheet molding, where surface gloss and transparency are important, or in the field of monofilament molding, which uses resins with high molecular weight, narrow molecular weight distribution, and poor fluidity to increase tensile strength, knot strength, etc. If no flow improver is added,
A product that meets the purpose may not be obtained or productivity may deteriorate. For this reason, various lubricants have been proposed and attempts have been made to improve fluidity and mold releasability. Specifically, the following lubricants are known. (a) Hydrocarbon compounds such as pure hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and fluorocarbons such as liquid paraffin, microwax, and polyolefin wax; (b) Higher fatty acids or oxyfatty acids such as lauric acid, myristic acid, and stearic acid. fatty acid compounds such as (c) stearic acid amide, palmitic acid amide,
Fatty acid amide compounds such as methylene bisstearoylamide, (d) Ester compounds such as fatty acid lower alcohol esters, fatty acid polyhydric alcohol esters, fatty acid polyglycol esters, (e) Fatty alcohols, polyhydric alcohols, polyglycols, and polyglycerols. (f) Metallic soaps. Each of the above-mentioned compounds exhibits a lubricant effect in its own way, but when viewed as a fluidity improver for molten resin, they decompose or volatilize at the temperature of the molten resin, resulting in no lubricity or coloring of the resin. There are many things that occur. Furthermore, metal soaps, which are commonly used as fluidity improvers, have a limited ability to improve the fluidity of high-molecular weight, narrow molecular weight distribution resins used in monofilament molding. The inherent properties of the resin may be lost, or bleed-out may occur on the product surface, resulting in a sticky feeling, reducing the product value. Separately, it is not preferable to raise the molding temperature to increase the fluidity of the resin, as this will cause decomposition of the resin. Therefore, there continues to be a demand for a lubricant that has a greater lubricity effect than the lubricants that have been proposed in the past. Recently, hydroxy fatty acid compounds have been proposed as lubricants that can improve the fluidity of resins with poor fluidity by adding small amounts. This compound exhibits the lubricating properties of both alcohol and carboxylic acid, and is characterized by an extremely large lubricating effect compared to conventional lubricants. However, many of these known lubricants have a problem in that transparency and optical properties deteriorate when the obtained molded product is stretched. This involves a very important problem in an industrial sense. That is, monofilaments, films, sheets, etc. are usually stretched to increase their strength or transparency. However, as mentioned above, many lubricant additives have a lower commercial value because their transparency decreases when stretched. Although a clear theory regarding this decrease in transparency has not been established, it is likely that the added lubricant acts as a nucleus and voids are generated around the lubricant during stretching, and these voids scatter light and reduce transparency. It is estimated that [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Therefore, the present inventors have demonstrated that even a small amount of polyolefin with a high molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution exhibits good lubricity, and that the resulting molded product remains transparent even when stretched. As a result of extensive research into a material that does not have a lubricant that does not impair optical properties such as hardness and gloss, it was found that the purpose could be achieved by using an alkyl sulfonic acid compound, and the present invention was achieved. [Means for Solving the Problems] That is, the present invention provides a stretched molded product, which is characterized by adding an alkylsulfonic acid magnesium salt to a polyolefin, melt-molding the molded product, and then stretching the molded product at a temperature below the melting point of the resin. This is a manufacturing method. [Function] In the present invention, it is important to use an alkylsulfonic acid magnesium salt as a lubricant.
That is, even if the same alkylsulfonic acid metal salt is used, sodium salt or calcium salt can improve the melt fluidity, but when stretched, the optical properties deteriorate. Furthermore, a decrease in optical properties after stretching is also observed in hydroxyalkylsulfonic acid metal salts and alkenylsulfonic acid metal salts. Specific examples of the alkylsulfonic acid magnesium salt include decylsulfonic acid magnesium salt, undecylsulfonic acid magnesium salt, dodecylsulfonic acid magnesium salt, tridecylsulfonic acid magnesium salt, tetradecylsulfonic acid magnesium salt, pentadecylsulfonic acid magnesium salt,
Magnesium hexadecylsulfonate, magnesium heptadecylsulfonate, magnesium octadecylsulfonate, magnesium nonadecylsulfonate, magnesium eicosylsulfonate, etc. have 10 to 20 carbon atoms, preferably 12 to
It is of 18. Any known polyolefin may be used as the polyolefin containing the magnesium alkylsulfonate salt, such as low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, polypropylene, poly 1-butene, poly 4-methyl-1-pentene, or ethylene.
Examples include polyolefins such as random or block copolymers of α-olefins such as propylene, 1-butene, and 4-methyl-1-pentene. That is, low-density polyethylene, medium-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, polypropylene, poly-1-butene, poly-4 produced by a high-pressure method or a medium-low pressure method.
-Methyl-1-pentene, poly-3-methyl-1
- It is added to polyolefins such as butene, poly-3-methyl-1-pentene, ethylene/propylene copolymer, ethylene/butene copolymer, and propylene/butene copolymer to improve melt moldability.
In particular, polyolefins with high molecular weight, narrow molecular weight distribution, and poor melt flowability for which conventional lubricants have insufficiently improved molding processability, such as those with a melt flow rate (MFR) of 2 g/10 min or less, especially 1 g/
It exhibits a remarkable effect when added to products with a melt flow rate (HLMFR) ratio of 40 or less, HLMFR/MFR, at a load of 24.1 kg for 10 min or less. In the present invention, the amount of magnesium alkylsulfonate added to the polyolefin varies depending on the type and purpose of the polyolefin used, but is generally in the range of 0.01 to 2 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the polyolefin. . In the present invention, in order to add the magnesium alkyl sulfonate salt to the polyolefin and melt-mold them, for example, the two are mixed using a ribbon blender, tumble blender, Henschel mixer, etc., or after mixing, they are melt-mixed using an extruder, Banbury mixer, two rolls, etc. Or dissolve it in hydrocarbon or aromatic solvent and mix it into the polymer solution, then use a single screw extruder, vented extruder, double screw extruder,
Three-screw extruder, conical two-screw extruder, co-kneader, plateifier, mixtruder, twin-screw conical screw extruder,
We perform extrusion molding, injection molding, blow molding, etc. represented by inflation film molding and monofilament molding using planetary screw extruders, gear type extruders, screwless extruders, etc. The molded article thus obtained is further stretched at a temperature below the melting point of the polyolefin used. Here, the stretching may be performed continuously following the above-mentioned melt forming, or may be performed in a discontinuous process. There are no particular regulations regarding stretching, and any stretching conditions within the known technical range may be used. In addition, in the present invention, heat-resistant stabilizers, weather-resistant stabilizers, antistatic agents, anti-blocking agents, slip agents, pigments, dyes, inorganic/organic fillers, etc. can be added to the resin as necessary. It may be used in combination with [Examples] Optimum examples to which the technology of the present invention is applied are shown below, but the present invention is not limited to these examples, and can take any form as long as the purpose of the present invention is not impaired.
