き起こすという欠点により主に第2の方法を用い
ることが多い。第2の方法ではその欠陥位置を表
示する方法として、欠陥部分にパンチングにより
孔を開ける方法、欠陥部分にインクをスポツト的
にスプレーして付着させる方法のように欠陥部分
に直接表示する方法と、欠陥の長手方向の位置を
表示する為に欠陥部分に最も近い帯状物の長手方
向に沿つた耳端部にのり付ラベルを貼る方法、同
じく耳端部にインクを塗る方法などが知られてい

状欠陥を分けて除去するためには、それぞれが区
別できるような欠陥位置の表示を行なう必要があ
るが、一方の耳端部に表示するだけでは後記の実
施例でも示すように、それらの区別は不可能であ
る。それを可能にする方法としてのり付ラベルの
形状あるいは色を点状欠陥と筋状欠陥で変化させ
る方法や、インクの色を変化させる方法がある
が、いずれの方法も点状欠陥と筋状欠陥が混在し
た場合は欠陥位置表示が混乱したり、また感光材
料のように暗室下で除去作業をしなければならな
