Description
産業上の利用分野
本発明は粘着付与剤組成物、更に詳しくは、ス
チレンブロツク共重合体樹脂と特定の粘着付与樹
脂を特定条件下で加熱混練したことから成り、例
えばホツトメルト接着剤に配合して優れた粘着力
を付与することができる組成物に関する。
従来技術
スチレンブロツク共重合体樹脂は熱可塑性ゴム
特性を有し、特に未加硫ゴムの易溶性と加硫ゴム
の優れたストレス・ストレイン特性を兼備し、そ
の優れた物理的・化学的性質から各種の分野で利
用されているが、更にその用途範囲の拡大が望ま
れつつある。
本発明者らは、このスチレンブロツク共重合体
樹脂の用途開発について検討を進めたところ、こ
れを特定の粘着付与樹脂の存在下、空気中で熱処
理を行つて分解させることにより、得られる組成
物が優れた粘着力を発揮することを見出し、本発
明を完成させるに至つた。
発明の構成と効果
すなわち、本発明は、スチレンブロツク共重合
体樹脂および水添テルペン樹脂を空気存在下170
〜220℃の温度で30〜150分間加熱混練したことか
ら成り、スチレンブロツク共重合体樹脂がスチレ
ン−イソプレン−スチレンブロツク共重合体樹脂
であることを特徴とする粘着付与剤組成物を提供
するものである。
本発明におけるスチレンブロツク共重合体樹脂
としては、スチレン−イソプレン−スチレンブロ
ツク共重合体樹脂(SIS樹脂と称す)、たとえば
シエル化学(株)製の「カリフレツクスTR−1107」
を使用する。
本発明における粘着付与樹脂としては、水添テ
ルペン樹脂を使用する。使用量は通常、スチレン
ブロツク共重合体樹脂100部(重量部、以下同様)
に対し5〜150部、好ましくは50〜100部の範囲で
選定すればよい。5部未満であると、所望の粘着
力が得られず、また150部を越えると、凝集力が
低下し、望ましい接着強度が得られない傾向にあ
る。
本発明に係る粘着付与剤組成物は、上記所定割
合のスチレンブロツク共重合体樹脂と水添テルペ
ン樹脂を配合し、これらを空気存在下170〜220℃
の温度にて30〜150分間、好ましくは45〜100分間
加熱混練することにより得られる系で構成され
る。かかる加熱混練によつて、スチレンブロツク
共重合体樹脂は空気酸化を受けて所望程度に分解
し、これが共存する水添テルペン樹脂と相乗的に
作用して粘着力の増強を発現するものと考えられ
る。なお、混練温度が150℃未満であると、酸化
の進行が極端に遅く、所望の粘着力が得られず、
特にたとえば混練時間が30分である場合は、後記
実施例で採用されるような、少なくとも170℃以
上の混練温度が必要であり、また220℃を越える
と、過度の酸化が起り、凝集力の低下が著しく、
また変色するので望ましくない。
このようにして得られる本発明組成物は、粘着
付与剤として、例えばホツトメルト接着剤に配合
することができる。
次に、実施例を挙げて本発明をより具体的に説
明する。
実施例 1
SIS樹脂(シエル化学(株)製、カリフレツクス
TR−1107、スチレン/イソプレン比=14/86)
100部および水添テルペン樹脂(安原油脂(株)製、
クレアロンM−105)100部を空気存在下190℃で
30分間加熱混練して、均一な粘着付与剤組成物を
調製する。
実施例 2
実施例1において混練時間を、45分、75分、90
分または120分に代える以外は、実施例1と同様
にして粘着付与剤組成物を調製する。
比較例 1
実施例1、2において空気雰囲気を窒素雰囲気
に代える以外は、実施例1、2と同様にして粘着
付与剤組成物を調製する。
実施例 3
実施例1において混練純度を170℃または220℃
に代える以外は、実施例1と同様にして粘着付与
剤組成物を調製する。
比較例 2
実施例1、3において空気雰囲気を窒素雰囲気
に代える以外は、実施例1、3と同様にして粘着
付与剤組成物を調製する。
粘着試験
実施例1〜3および比較例1、2で得られる組
成物について、ボールタツクをPSTC−6法に準
じて評価する。結果を表1、2に示す。

The inventors of the present invention proceeded to study the development of uses for this styrene block copolymer resin, and found that a composition obtained by decomposing it by heat treatment in air in the presence of a specific tackifier resin. The present inventors have discovered that this material exhibits excellent adhesive strength, leading to the completion of the present invention. Structure and Effects of the Invention That is, the present invention provides styrene block copolymer resin and hydrogenated terpene resin in the presence of air.

The amount may be selected within the range of 5 to 150 parts, preferably 50 to 100 parts. When the amount is less than 5 parts, the desired adhesive strength cannot be obtained, and when it exceeds 150 parts, the cohesive force tends to decrease and the desired adhesive strength cannot be obtained. The tackifier composition according to the present invention is prepared by blending a styrene block copolymer resin and a hydrogenated terpene resin in the above-mentioned predetermined proportions, and heating them at a temperature of 170 to 220°C in the presence of air.
The system is obtained by heating and kneading at a temperature of 30 to 150 minutes, preferably 45 to 100 minutes. It is thought that by such heating and kneading, the styrene block copolymer resin undergoes air oxidation and decomposes to a desired degree, and this acts synergistically with the coexisting hydrogenated terpene resin to increase adhesive strength. . In addition, if the kneading temperature is less than 150°C, the progress of oxidation will be extremely slow, and the desired adhesive strength will not be obtained.
In particular, when the kneading time is 30 minutes, a kneading temperature of at least 170°C is required, as will be adopted in the examples below, and if it exceeds 220°C, excessive oxidation will occur and the cohesive force will be reduced. The decline is significant,
