Since the bonding strength between the fibers is extremely weak, various efforts have been made to reinforce the area near the end of the veneer. That is, for example, disclosed in "Method for preventing cracks in veneer or veneer (Japanese Patent Publication No. 1589/1989)" or "Method for manufacturing veneer veneer and veneer veneer" (Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 102404/1982). As shown in Figure 1, there are cases in which films, adhesives, fibrous materials, etc. are applied directly to the end surface of logs as reinforcing materials, or continuous reinforcing materials such as tape are applied to the surface of carved veneers. This is the way to wear it. However, in the former method, when the edges of the logs are trimmed by scribing, the reinforcing material is removed from the veneer itself, and the veneer is not reinforced. If the ends of the wood veneer are not trimmed, the end surface of the veneer remains non-linear, which causes significant inconvenience in subsequent processing steps.

のである。 Also, the latter method cannot be carried out unless the veneer is continuous, and the continuous reinforcing material is necessarily attached somewhat inward from the end surface of the veneer.
In recent years, when the width of the veneer is made as narrow as possible to improve yield, the reinforcing material remains in the product plywood, causing poor adhesion and uneven thickness.

The protruding wire rods are interposed and stacked in a direction transverse to the veneer fibers, a reinforcing material is attached to the aligned end faces, and the ends of the wire rods are then pulled to apply the reinforcing material to each veneer. The purpose is to separate the veneers and take out each veneer, which is an extremely simple and stable method of reinforcing and processing the veneers.

Publication No. 51-25959, ``Automatic stacking device for veneer veneer,'' etc.
It is possible to deposit veneers using the technique of publication No. -13603. The veneers deposited here are, of course, not limited to a single regular-length veneer, but are small-width veneers that are interleaved or arranged closely or nearly closely in parallel without interleaving. The same effect can be achieved with any type of veneer.

の方がよい。 The wire 3 is preferably a thin and durable wire such as a thread made of natural fibers or synthetic fibers or a thin metal wire, but a tape-shaped wire may also be used. In addition, from the viewpoint of dividing the reinforcing material layer, it is desirable that the wire 3 be placed as close to the butt surface of the veneer as possible, and parallel to the butt surface. about 30
Effective results were obtained within twice as many cases. Further, the ends of the wire rods are made to protrude from the edge of the veneer so that they can be easily pulled, but when pulling the wire rods by hand, it is easier to pull the wire rods by holding both ends of the wire rods. Therefore, it is desirable that the wire rods be stacked with both ends protruding from the veneer. On the other hand, if the collection of the wire rod by mechanical means is considered as important, it is most convenient to make the wire rod into a continuous shape and interpose it between the plate surfaces while folding the wire rod, and it is better to have a plurality of wire rods.

のである。 This wire rod 3 is interposed to facilitate the removal of the veneer 1, but on the other hand, it also has the effect of ensuring that the reinforcing material layer 2 is divided,
Therefore, it can be carried out more effectively by interposing the wire 3 closer to the butt end surface 1a, or by pulling the wire rod 3 diagonally upward closer to the end surface 1a.

Adhesive can be applied simply by applying it to the wood end surface, and is extremely easy to use and convenient as a reinforcing material. Among these, adhesives such as polyurethane and vinyl acetate, ie, adhesives that have some strength even after curing, are preferred because the adhesive layer is easily separated and the flexibility of the veneer is not impaired. Furthermore, if a short fibrous material made of glass fiber, synthetic fiber, etc. is added to the adhesive and adhered in a direction parallel to the surface of the veneer, the reinforcing effect is further increased and the adhesive layer is It becomes easier to separate and handle. Here, the hardening of an adhesive can be considered in various ways, but it can be considered that it has hardened if it is no longer sticky when touched with the hand, and depending on the adhesive, it may be peeled off immediately after application. If the end faces of the veneers are stacked as evenly as possible, it is also possible to reinforce the veneers by attaching a flexible plastic film instead of the adhesive.

Then, apply or impregnate the end surface of the veneer with the undiluted solution or one diluted with water to an appropriate ratio of 30 times or less (by weight), preferably until the adhesive has completed gelatinization. It is allowed to grow until it is semi-hardened or hardened. Usually, the curing time is about 1 to 10 minutes when using an undiluted solution, and about 3 to 60 minutes when diluted. Of course, it is possible to cure it for a longer time and then peel it off.

補強が行なえるのである。 As mentioned above, by reinforcing the end surface of the veneer with the ends aligned and piled up, the problems that would occur when reinforcing the raw wood will not occur, and the adhesion of the reinforcing material will be more uniform. At the same time, it is possible to give the reinforcing material as much time as necessary to harden it, making it possible to perform a generally stable reinforcing process. Furthermore, since the reinforcing material is attached only to the end surface of the veneer, there will be no adhesion failure due to uneven thickness during plywood forming, and the veneer can be reinforced very effectively.

き、その効果が倍増するのである。 In addition, since each veneer is peeled off one by one while pulling the end of the wire interposed between the surfaces of the veneers in a rectangular direction, no unreasonable force is applied to the veneer itself. Especially when the veneer is relatively thin or soft, the veneer can be taken out stably, doubling its effectiveness.

The reinforcing material 2 is divided and the veneer is taken out separately.
First, the wire rod 3 is deposited in the same manner as in the example.
Pull the end of the veneer parallel to the surface of the veneer 1 in a direction that separates the layer of reinforcing material 2 (in the direction of the arrow in Fig. 2),
After that, the veneer 1 is to be taken out. Of course, this process may be performed alternately, that is, dividing the reinforcing material layer with wire rods and taking out the veneer alternately, or dividing the reinforcing material layer with any plurality of wire rods at once, and then taking out the veneer. It is also possible to select one of these methods by taking into account the subsequent steps. In the latter case, it can be easily done manually, but for example,
By using the ``automatic removal device for stacked veneers'' described in Publication No. 66434, it becomes possible to automatically turn up the veneers.

あつても差し支えない。 In this embodiment, the wire rod 3 is used only for dividing the layer of the reinforcing material 2, and the veneer 1 is taken out after the reinforcing material 2 is divided. Therefore, no restrictions are placed on the process of taking out the veneers, and the veneers can be taken out in any direction. As for the direction in which the wire is pulled, it may be in any direction as long as it separates the layer of the reinforcing material.

ある。 As described above, in the second embodiment, by pulling the end of the wire interposed between the surfaces of the veneer parallel to the surface of the veneer in a direction that separates the reinforcing material layer, Since the layer of the reinforcing material is divided and the veneer is taken out after that, the reinforcing material can stably and accurately reinforce the end surface of the veneer, and especially if the veneer is narrow In the case of so-called small-width veneer groups made of veneers packed together, reinforcement that also serves as bonding is more effective. Furthermore, since the division of the reinforcing material layer and the removal of the veneer are distinguished, the direction in which the veneer can be taken out is not limited, making handling even more convenient.
