本発明は光コネクタの清掃用の治具に関するも

従来技術と問題点
従来より光フアイバを接続するためには光コネ
クタが用いられている。この光コネクタは光結合
の損失を少なくするために光フアイバ端面同士を
完全につきあてる必要がある。もし光フアイバ端
面同士間に異物が入ると光結合損失の原因となる
のみならず、それが金属などの硬い場合には光フ
アイバ端面に傷をつけ清掃しても除去できない欠
陥を与えることになる。従つて光フアイバの端面
は着脱する毎に清掃する必要がある。このため通
常の手で着脱できる光コネクタは綿棒などで簡単
に清掃していた。ところが第1図に示すような多
数のプリント回路基板1をプラグインタイプで搭
載したユニツト2の如き装置においては光コネク
タ3が奥まつたところにあるため、バツクパネル
4に固定された方の光コネクタの清掃は非常に困
難であり十分な清掃は不可能であつた。また清掃
のためのスペースを確保するためには他のプリン
ト回路基板をも取り外す(場合によつては構造上
不可能な事もある)必要がある等の問題があつ

に対向するように位置決めされ且つユニツトの前
面より操作可能に設けられたパイプとにより構成
されたことを特徴とする光コネクタ清掃治具を提

のフエルール端面に近接させ、ガススプレー20
からガスを噴出させてフエルール端面の異物を吹
き飛ばし清掃することができる。またガススプレ
ー20の代りに吸引ポンプ21を取り付け、フエ
ルール端面の異物を吸引して清掃することもでき
