いる。The configuration will be explained below with reference to FIG. 2. As shown in the figure, a tape cassette 31 used in a magnetic tape device is formed with an accidental erasure prevention claw 32, and a position opposite to the accidental erasure prevention claw 32 when the tape cassette 31 is installed in the magnetic tape device. A detection lever 38 is rotatably supported on the magnetic tape device. Detection lever 3
8, the detection piece 38a at the tip is in contact with the accidental erasure prevention claw 32, and in the state (a) where the accidental erasure prevention claw 32 of the tape cassette 31 is now removed, the detection piece 38a is in contact with the accidental erasure prevention claw 32. The detection lever 38 rotates clockwise, and the spring 37 causes the accidental erasure prevention lever 33 to rotate in the same clockwise direction.
3a makes sliding by pressing the recording lever 34 impossible.

の問題があった。Problems to be Solved by the Invention In such a conventional erasure prevention device for a magnetic tape device, a tape cassette 31 installed in the magnetic tape device has a tape cassette 31 with a erroneous erasure prevention claw at a position opposite to the erroneous erasure prevention claw 32. It is determined whether or not erasing is possible based on the difference in displacement between the presence and absence of the 32. Once the erroneous erasure prevention claw 32 is removed, it is impossible to re-record as it is, so the erroneous erasure prevention claw 32 is removed for re-recording. There are problems in that it takes time and effort to add substitute means for 32, and there are restrictions on the detection method based on mechanical positional relationships when cassettes of different sizes and sizes are used in the same device.

Information on two large and small tape cassettes can be read by setting the optical reflectance.

It is arranged so that it can rotate freely.

When the large tape cassette 1 is attached to a large tape cassette (not shown) and the light emitting element 2 is turned on, the emitted light (a) reaches a predetermined position (reflective surface) la on the surface of the main body of the large tape cassette 1. Depending on the optical reflectance of a predetermined position on the tape cassette body surface, the light that reaches the tape cassette is either absorbed by the matte surface made of a black resin material, or reflected by the smooth surface. When the light is reflected, it becomes a reflected light (b) and enters the light receiving element 3, and the light receiving element 3 is excited.

Alternatively, output signals of the excited and non-excited states of the light-receiving element 3 can be extracted by pasting two types of sheets with different surface states as described above.

For example, the predetermined position 11a is irradiated with luminescent light.
