Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow the transfer of designs with one time of transfer operation to the intricate surface of a porcelain body by providing a transfer plate having approximately the same shape as the shape of the molded porcelain body and acting a hermetic vessel, the wall surface of which is formed on an expandable and contractable transfer film, in a specific form. CONSTITUTION:The transfer film 6 contracts and diminishes to create a spacing between this film and the transfer plate 2. The patterns formed of transfer glaze 4 sticking to the transfer film 6 contrast as well. The hermetic vessel 5 reduced in pressure to an ordinary state is separated from the transfer plate 2 and is moved to the porcelain body 1. The hermetic vessel 5 is set to the porcelain body 1 by maintaining the same spacing as the spacing of the transfer plate 2. The expanding positional relation of the transfer film 6 of the hermetic vessel 5 and the porcelain body 1 is exactly the same as the positional relation of the transfer film 6 and the transfer plate 2 is pressurized fluid is injected again into the hermetic vessel 5. The contracted patterns formed of the transfer gale 4 are expanded as well to the same state as the patterns of the transfer plate 2. These patterns stick to the porcelain body. The porcelain body is thereafter subjected to drying and calcining stages and the porcelain and ceramics having the designs formed by the transfer stage are completed.

This method is basically a method of transferring from a flat surface to a flat surface, and by devising the shape and material of the copper plate and transfer member, it has become possible to transfer onto slightly curved ceramic surfaces. However, it is not possible to transfer to a large area at once, and the entire area is transferred by multiple local transfer operations.

In order to transfer the pattern over a large, complex surface, conventional methods require multiple transfer operations, and if the transferred pattern is misaligned, the continuity of the pattern will be lost and the product will be a failure. This work requires extremely high precision.

The transfer process uses a less continuous pattern in which seam errors are less noticeable, and for curved surfaces that are convex to the outside, such as the outer surfaces of teacups and teacups, transfer using mechanical devices has been put into practical use. It was completely impossible to transfer the images onto the inner surface near the bottom of the teacup using a mechanical device, and this work had to be done by hand by skilled workers.

Furthermore, even today, when the mechanization of transfer work has progressed through industrial means, not just anyone can handle the complex transfer work onto ceramic fabrics, and it is necessary to rely on experienced workers. In particular, the transfer work is the last step in making pottery and porcelain, and a mistake here is extremely serious, as it will waste all the hard work that has been put into the previous steps.

In view of the fact that conventional transfer operations were performed multiple times, which caused problems, this invention enables designs to be transferred onto the surface of complex ceramic materials in a single transfer operation. A molded pottery dough 1 and a transfer plate 2 having a surface of approximately the same shape as the molded pottery dough 1 are provided, and a recessed portion forming a pattern 3 is carved on the surface of the transfer plate 2, and a transfer agent is placed in the recessed portion. An airtight container 5 is provided, which is filled with the material 4 and whose wall surface is formed of a stretchable transfer film 6. Airtight container 5
The transfer film 6, which expands due to the pressurized fluid injected inside, is brought into close contact with the 2 sides of the transfer plate, and the transfer agent 4 on the 2 sides of the transfer plate is attached to the transfer film 6, and the airtight container 5 is depressurized to remove the ceramic fabric. 1, transfer the transfer film 6 of the sealed container 5 and the ceramic cloth 1
The pressurized fluid is again injected into the sealed container 5 to transfer the transfer agent 4 adhering to the expanding transfer film 6 onto the ceramic material 6.

That is, the surface of the ceramic material 1 on which the pattern is to be transferred and the surface of the transfer plate 2 are finished in substantially the same shape, and the pattern 3 to be transferred is etched onto the surface of the transfer plate 2. On the other hand, a closed container 5 in which a transfer film 6 made of a stretchable material is placed is provided in a portion corresponding to the transfer plate 2, and the closed container 5 is normally set at atmospheric pressure or an appropriate pressure. In this normal state, even if the transfer film 6 shakes due to a shock when the closed container 5 is moved, a gap is maintained such that the transfer film 6 and the surface of the transfer plate 2 do not come into contact with each other.

The pattern 3 engraved on the surface of the transfer plate 2 is filled with a transfer agent 4, and when a pressurized fluid is injected into a closed container 5 placed opposite the transfer plate 2 with a gap therebetween, it becomes elastic. Transfer film 6
expands to eliminate the gap, and the transfer film 6 is brought into close contact with the surface of the transfer plate 2. At this time, the transfer film 6 is also in close contact with the transfer agent 4 filled in the engraved pattern 3, and when the pressurized sealed container 5 is depressurized and returned to its normal shape, the transfer agent 4 is transferred to the surface of the transfer film 6. Attach to.

On the other hand, since the surface of the ceramic material 1 on which the pattern is transferred and the surface of the transfer plate 2 are finished in substantially the same shape, the closed container 5 can be set in the same positional relationship as the transfer plate 2. Under normal conditions, the transfer agent 4 attached to the surface of the transfer film 6 has a shrunken pattern, but when pressurized fluid is injected into the sealed container 5 again to expand the transfer film 6, the transfer film 6 becomes a ceramic material. 1
When it is in close contact with the surface of the ceramic material 1, the shrunken pattern expands and becomes the same shape as the pattern engraved on the transfer plate 2, and the transfer agent 4 adhering to the transfer film 6 adheres to the surface of the ceramic material 1.

The third figure shows the pressure of the pressurized fluid injected into the sealed container 5 reduced to the normal state. The transfer film 6 shrinks and becomes smaller, creating a gap between it and the transfer plate 2, and adheres to the transfer film 6. The pattern formed with the transferred transfer agent 4 has also shrunk. Figure 4 shows that the airtight container 5, which has been depressurized to a normal state, is separated from the transfer plate 2 and moved to the ceramic fabric 1, and the airtight container 5 is moved to the pottery fabric 1 while maintaining the same gap as the transfer plate 2.
is set in the pottery material 1, and FIG. Therefore, the positional relationship between the transfer film 6 of the expanding sealed container 5 and the ceramic fabric 1 is exactly the same as the positional relationship between the transfer film 6 and the transfer plate 2, and the shrunken pattern formed with the transfer agent 4 is also stretched. In addition, in the example, a deep shape that could not be realized at all in the past,
For example, we have shown the process of applying a pattern to the inside bottom of a teacup, but it is not a special item like this; it can also be used to transfer parts that could be transferred using conventional methods, such as the inner surface of a plate or the outer surface of a teacup. Further, it is possible to transfer a small local pattern or, conversely, to transfer a large continuous pattern as desired by simply changing the shapes of the closed container 5 and the transfer plate 2.

Conventional transfer methods, which were put into practical use as industrial means capable of mass production for drawing patterns on pottery and porcelain, were almost impossible to transfer onto the inside of pottery and porcelain. This invention makes it possible to easily transfer to places where conventional transfer methods cannot be used, and by using a large sealed container, it is possible to transfer a continuous pattern without any deviation in a single transfer operation. This is the first time that a pattern transfer method with a wide range of applications has been completed.
