の要旨は、サイドプロテクターパネル上端21か
ら裏面側へ垂下させた取付部21aの内面に、第
6図に示す如く下端22aを屈曲させた断面略L
字形状の押え板22を配し、その押え板22をボ
ルト等の固着部品24により車両外板Pに固着し
て、押え板22と車両外板Pとによつて取付部2
1aを挟持することにある。この取付構造は、次
のような効果を有する。サイドプロテクターパネ
ル(イ)上端から垂下する取付部21aにより、その
上端21が補強され、剛性が増大する。その結
果、剛性不良を主原因とする上端21の波打ちを
生じることがなく、上端21と車両外板Pとの間
の隙が生じにくくなに。また、(ロ)押え板22が断
面略L字形状からなり、その上端22cが略平面
であるため、取付部21a内側の狭い空間27内
においても押え板22を最上端に位置させること
が可能となる。その結果、取付部21aの最上端
が押え板22と車両外板Pとによつて挟持される
こととなるので、上端21と車両外板Pとの間に
隙が生じにくくなる。そして、(イ)(ロ)によつて車両
用サイドプロテクターパネル上端21と車両外板
Pとの間の隙の発生を効果的に防ぐことができ
