For example, a room with tatami flooring cannot be expected to have a Western-style atmosphere, and a room with carpeting is not suitable for holding a Japanese-style ceremony.
It was not possible to arbitrarily change the appearance of the floor of one room depending on the purpose of use of that room, and there was a limit to the multifaceted use of the room.

Each floorboard 2 is made up of two stacked tatami mats 3 and a support board 5 on which a carpet 4 is stretched, with one side (top side in Figure 1) being the tatami mat and the other side being the carpet. A hollow synthetic resin cylinder 31 is attached to the outer periphery of the tatami mat 3, and the cylinders of adjacent tatami mats are in elastic contact with each other. The upper surface of the cylindrical body 31 is covered with a tatami hem cloth 32. Further, the carpet 4 is fixed to a support board 5 with an adhesive, and the tatami mat 3 is separably connected to this board by a double-sided fastener.

is formed, and a base plate 61 of the hinge is fixed to the bottom of this recess with a liner 7 interposed therebetween by anchor bolts 8. A pipe 63 is fixed horizontally to the upper end of the holding plate 62 rising from the base plate 61, a synthetic resin sleeve 64 is fitted into this pipe, and a mandrel 65 is further inserted into this sleeve. There is. A mounting plate 67 is fixed onto the support board 5 with bolts 66, and a pipe 63a having the same diameter as the pipe 63 is integrally attached to the tip of this mounting plate. A sleeve 64 having the same structure as the synthetic resin sleeve 64 is installed inside the pipe 63a.
A is fitted into the sleeve, and a mandrel 65 is inserted into this sleeve to connect both pipes 63, 63a.
Note that the holding plate 62 is supported by a support plate 68 on one side,
A stopper 69 for preventing the floor plate 2 having an L-shaped cross section from falling is attached to the other side.

Rotate the adjacent floor plate, and then sequentially rotate floor plate 2 in the same way (fifth
figure). In this way, the upper surface of each floorboard 2 turns into a carpet 5 as shown in FIG. The rightmost slab will be a blank space, so place the removed floorboard 2a in this blank space.
Place the carpet with the carpet side facing up. In this way, the entire floor will be covered with carpet, and the room will change from a Japanese-style room with tatami mats to a Western-style room with carpet.

In the above example, the combination of floor surfaces is tatami and carpet, but it may also be, for example, tatami and board, or carpet and board. Further, the means for fixing the floorboard 2 and the tatami mat 3 is not limited to double-sided fasteners, but if this fastener is used, the tatami mat can be easily repaired.
