Therefore, various types of such pulsating spray showerheads have been proposed in the past. All of these proposals have a structure in which a member that is moved by tap water intermittently blocks the water flow flowing through a large number of diffused water holes drilled in the head, and such intermittent blocking action is also difficult. , producing a pulsating spray.

For example, the pulsating spray shower head introduced in Japanese Patent Publication No. 52-43427 has a pot-shaped main body with diffused water discharge holes on the bottom surface, and a rotary valve that is held on the inner wall of the main body and rotates while contacting the bottom surface. The rotary valve consists of a large number of blades that are bored in the axial direction of the cup-shaped main body and extend in the radial direction, and a part of the blades are connected between the blades in order to cause rotational movement by water pressure. The waterway in the head is composed of a first channel that introduces tap water in a tangential direction (lateral direction) to the rotary valve, and a first channel that introduces tap water in the tangential direction (lateral direction) of the rotary valve, and a The second flow path also introduces the valve from the vertical direction. Therefore, the rotary valve having blades is rotated by the tap water from the first channel while being held on the inner wall of the cup-shaped main body.

However, in such a pulsating spray shower head, when the rotary valve rotates at its maximum speed, that is, when trying to increase the frequency of the pulsating flow, the tap water
This increases the amount of water flowing from the side through the flow path, which in turn reduces water pressure.
There were complaints that the stimulation of the shower effect was lost.

Further, for example, the pulsating spray shower head introduced in Japanese Patent Publication No. 55-5385 consists of a pot-shaped main body having a diffusion water discharge hole on the bottom surface, and a vibrating member supported by a protrusion at the center of the bottom surface of the main body. In order to cause the vibrating member to tilt by using tap water, a first flow path for introducing tap water from the vertical direction is formed in the lid covering the cup-shaped main body, and a first channel is formed to introduce the tap water from the vertical direction, and the vibrating member is bypassed. A second flow path is configured to discharge water from another diffusion water discharge hole.

However, in such a pulsating spray type shower head, the tap water impinges on the entire surface of the vibrating member, reducing the water pressure, which has caused dissatisfaction with the fact that even in such a shower head, the stimulation that is the shower effect is impaired.

First, to explain the operating principle of this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a large number of diffusion water discharge holes 5 are bored on the opening side of the shower head main body 3, which is equipped with a supply passage 1 and a head chamber 2. A water sprinkling plate 4 is provided, a partition portion 6 is horizontally installed approximately in the middle of the head chamber 2, and between the partition portion 6 and the water sprinkling plate 4,
A water flow plate 7 is interposed between the water flow plate 7 and the water sprinkling plate 4 to form a vortex chamber 8 having a pot-shaped main body, and a rotor 11 is suspended in the vortex chamber 8.

The water spray plate 4 has three guide holes 9 bored in its periphery, and the guide holes 9 form an inclined upper surface 10 inclined at 30 degrees with respect to the horizontal as shown in the first figure. The water flow is guided by the upper surface 10 and flows into the swirl chamber 8 in a spiral manner.

With the above configuration, a water flow is introduced into the head chamber 2 from the supply passage 1, and then bypasses the through hole 12 of the partition portion 6 and enters the upper surface of the water flow plate 7.
Through the guide holes 9 of the water flow plate 7, the water flow flows down into the swirl chamber 8 while forming a swirl. As a result, a portion of the water flow tangentially collides with the outer circumferential surface of the rotor 11, causing the rotor 11 to rotate and revolve as shown in the third figure while contacting the cylindrical inner wall of the vortex chamber 8.

To further describe this movement, the rotor 11 is
In the illustrated position, the water flow from the guide hole 9 a in FIG. The water flow from the guide hole 9 b is
A part of the water acts to rotate the rotor 11 and discharges water from the diffusion water discharge hole 5. Further, the water flow from the guide hole 9 c is mainly caused to collide with the outer circumferential surface of the rotor 11 while being discharged from the diffusion water discharge hole 5 . Therefore, the rotor 11 rotates counterclockwise in the figure and revolves in the same direction while contacting the inner wall of the swirl chamber 8. As a result, since the diffusion water discharge holes 5 are sequentially closed and opened, the water discharge acts as an intermittent blocker, forming a pulsating spray of water that travels in a spiral pattern.
