[Industrial Field of Application] The present invention relates to dispersion-strengthened eutectic aluminum alloys. [Prior Art] Dispersion-strengthened alloys in which hard, fine particles that are stable even at high temperatures are dispersed and composited in a matrix metal are known. For example, for products that use aluminum alloy as the matrix metal, SAP (Sintered Aluminum
Powder) is well known. The strength of this dispersion-strengthened alloy improves as the amount of dispersed fine particles increases and as the particle spacing becomes narrower. On the other hand, it is well known that dendrites crystallize in eutectic aluminum alloys, and the shape and size of these dendrites affect the strength of the alloy. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, conventional dispersion-strengthened alloys generally have large reinforcing fine particles, and have not yet achieved sufficient strength and wear resistance. In particular, when a eutectic aluminum alloy is strengthened by dispersing reinforcing fine particles, the fine particles gather at the interface between the dendrite and the aluminum matrix and do not penetrate into the dendrite, thereby achieving sufficient strength. That was difficult. The present invention was made to solve the problems of the prior art described above, and an object of the present invention is to provide a dispersion-strengthened eutectic aluminum alloy having excellent strength and toughness. [Means for Solving the Problem] According to the dispersion-strengthened eutectic aluminum alloy of the present invention, the dispersion-strengthened aluminum alloy has dispersion-strengthened particles in which reinforcing fine particles are dispersed in the matrix metal of the aluminum alloy and dendrites are crystallized. In the eutectic aluminum alloy, the fine particles have a particle size of 0.5μ or less, an interparticle distance of 30μ or less, are dispersed in a volume ratio of 20% or less, and the dendrite size is 20μ or less, and the dendrites have a size of 20μ or less. It is also characterized in that the fine particles are dispersed therein. [Function] Therefore, according to the dispersion-strengthened eutectic aluminum alloy of the present invention, this effect is achieved by dispersing reinforcing fine particles in the matrix metal of the aluminum alloy and also dispersing these fine particles in the fine dendrites. be done. Here, the size of the dendrite is 20μ or less, and the particle size of the reinforcing fine particles is
The particle size must be 0.5μ or less, the distance between particles must be 30μ or less, and the volume ratio must be 20% or less. In this way, the dendrites are made finer, and because the reinforcing fine particles are fine and also dispersed in the dendrites, the dispersion strengthening of the reinforcing fine particles functions effectively, and the movement of dislocations is prevented. The strength of the eutectic aluminum alloy is greatly improved by this. Next, the present invention will be explained in detail. In the present invention, the smaller the dendrite size, the better the strength and toughness, so it is preferable that the size of the dendrite is at least 20 μm or less. Further, it is more desirable if the thickness is 18μ or less. The reinforcing fine particles must stably exist in the aluminum alloy matrix metal at high temperatures and do not grow or coarsen, which would cause a reduction in reinforcement. Fine particles meeting this condition include oxides, carbides, nitrides, and the like. Specifically, SiC, TiC, ZrC, WC, NbC,
TiN , BN, Si3N4 , Al2O3 , MgO, SiO2 , ZrO2 ,
Fe 2 O 3 , CuO, graphite, etc. can be used. The particle size of these fine particles needs to be 0.5μ or less in order to obtain sufficient dispersion strengthening, and 0.05μ
The following is more desirable. The smaller the distance between the fine particles, the better. In the present invention, it is necessary that the thickness be 30μ or less, and more preferably 5μ or less. The larger the amount of these fine particles, the better. Sufficient dispersion strengthening can be expected up to a volume ratio of 20%, but no further effect can be expected when the volume ratio exceeds 20%, and it becomes difficult to disperse the aluminum into molten metal, so the upper limit must be set.
It was set at 20%. In order to produce the dispersion-strengthened eutectic aluminum alloy of the present invention, it is necessary to uniformly disperse reinforcing fine particles into a molten eutectic aluminum alloy by appropriate means such as stirring, and then pressurize and rapidly cool it. Here, the cooling rate is preferably 25 to 500°C/sec. [Example] Next, an example of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In this example, the matrix alloy was an aluminum alloy (JIS AC8A; Cu:
0.9%, Si: 11.5%, Mg: 1.2%, Fe: 0.2%,
A conrod was manufactured using SiC with an average particle size of 0.05μ as fine particles for dispersion reinforcement. At this time, as the casting method, a rigid pressure casting method was used, which allows rapid cooling of the molten metal and allows good pressure transmission to the molten metal. First, an aluminum alloy raw material was put into a melting furnace and melted, and then SiC fine particles were mixed into the molten metal using an inert gas as a carrier while stirring the molten metal. The molten metal thus prepared was poured into a vertical pressure casting apparatus shown in the drawing to produce a connecting rod. The figure is a cross-sectional view of the main parts of a rigid pressure casting device.
is the upper mold, and 2 is the lower mold. A rocker arm-shaped product cavity 3 is defined by the upper mold 1 and the lower mold 2. A plunger sleeve 4 is provided in the center of the molds 1 and 2, and this plunger sleeve 4 has a pressure plunger 5 and a counter plunger 6.
is slidably inserted. A pressure tip 7 and a counter tip 8 are attached to the tips of both plungers 5 and 6, respectively. In addition, the product cavity 3 and plunger sleeve 4 are connected to the gate 9.
communicated via. In addition, 10 is a pouring hole, and 11 is an extrusion pin. Next, the operation will be explained. The mold was clamped, the gate 9 was closed by the counter tip 8, and the pressure plunger 5 was pulled up to the state shown in the figure. Next, molten aluminum alloy 12 mixed with SiC fine particles was poured from the pouring spout. Thereafter, the counter tip 8 was gradually lowered, and the molten metal 12 was gently introduced into the product cavity 3. When 1/4 to 1/3 molten metal is introduced into the product cavity,
The pressure plunger 5 pressurized the molten metal 12, and the product cavity 3 was rapidly filled with the molten metal 12. After the molten metal 12 solidified, the mold was opened and the product was taken out using an extrusion pin. Based on the above manufacturing method, the alloys shown in Table 1 were manufactured. 1 in Table 1 is a conventional alloy, and the matrix metal is the same aluminum alloy (JIS
AC8A), and the dispersion amount of SiC was set to 0%, and a Rocker arm was manufactured. 2 to 5 in Table 1 are alloys of the present invention, in which the matrix metal is aluminum alloy (JIS AC8A), and the dispersion amount of SiC with an average grain size of 0.05μ is 0.5%, 1%,
5% and 10%, respectively, and the respective Rotsuker arms were manufactured. As a result, in the conventional alloys 1 to 5 in Table 1 and the alloy of the present invention, the size of the dendrite near the surface of the rocker arm was about 2μ, and the size at the center was about 12μ. In addition, in the present invention alloys 2 to 5 in Table 1, it was confirmed that SiC fine particles were mixed in the dendrites. In this example, a tensile test (JIS No. 4 test piece) was conducted to examine the strength. The results are shown in Table 1.
