Abstract

PURPOSE:To read the resistance value of a resistor and to automatically set a photographing mode corresponding to the read resistance value by inserting a card member corresponding to the photographing mode in an insertion chamber. CONSTITUTION:By changing the resistance value of the resistor 21 for every kind of photographing mode and changing a pattern 22a according to it, some kinds of card members can be prepared every photographing mode. Such a card member 20 is inserted in the insertion chamber 24 and a constant-current circuit for generating a constant current is connected to a contact part 26 which is connected to the terminal of the resistor 21. By impressing the current, an A/D converter reads a voltage obtained from the resistance value of the resistor 21 and supplies data corresponding to the voltage to a CPU. The CPU, which receives a signal obtained by half depressing a shutter button 11, selects a program corresponding to the data supplied from the A/D converter from a ROM. Thus, photographing desired by a photographer is executed.

Conventionally, the automatic exposure mechanism of a camera has a function that depends on the subject brightness.
There is a programmable AE that uniquely determines the combination of shutter speed and aperture value. However, with this programmable AE, it is possible to change the programmable AE to the photographer's desired mode based on the photographer's free will (as it is not possible to select the shooting conditions) to take pictures according to the photographer's purpose. 2. Description of the Related Art Cameras that take pictures are widely used.Such cameras are equipped with a shooting mode input device that manually inputs a shooting mode intended by a photographer into the camera.

In the IC card input method, an IC card with a built-in ROM and CPU that stores programs corresponding to the shooting mode is used, and when the photographer selects an IC card and inserts it into the camera, the You can change the shooting mode. In addition, in the barcode input method, a sample photo is selected according to the photographer's will from a sample photo collection corresponding to the shooting mode, and the barcode corresponding to the selected sample photo is read with a barcode reader. I am trying to input it into the camera.

[Problem H that the invention seeks to solve] However, the method of inputting the shooting mode into the camera using an IC card with a built-in ROM or CPU is expensive because the IC card itself is expensive.
Having a set of cards can be costly. Furthermore, in the case of the barcode input method, two items are required: a sample photo album corresponding to the shooting mode and a barcode reader, which is expensive and inconvenient to carry.

As shown in FIG. 5, the ROM 36 stores programs corresponding to modes such as landscape mode, portrait mode, wedding mode, sports mode, auto bracket mode, and normal mode. For example, landscape mode is a mode that calculates the optimal aperture value based on film sensitivity data and subject distance data, controls exposure so that the background is within the depth of field, and takes pictures. In addition, the sports mode is a mode in which exposure is controlled to set the shutter speed to a high speed side based on film sensitivity data and subject distance data, and photography is performed.
