Conventionally, in order to maintain the above-mentioned route spacing, L-shaped spacing pieces are attached to both sides of the opposing ends of each steel frame, and when constructing the column steel frame, the upper column steel frame is butted against the lower column steel frame. The upper holding piece is placed on the lower holding piece to ensure the root spacing, and then the joint is welded. In order to prevent the steel frame from bending at the welded joint, a connecting fitting is installed in advance between the opposing ends of the column steel frame.

This is what is installed. The connecting piece includes a receiving part and a connecting piece extending from the receiving part. The receiving portion supports the connecting ring and maintains a constant distance between the opposing ends of both steel frames. The connecting piece portion is inserted into the connecting ring and connects the connecting ring and the connecting piece.

A connecting ring 5 is attached to the upper side and a connecting piece 6 is attached to the lower side of the steel frames 1 and 2, respectively, on the inner surfaces of the opposite ends of the steel frames 1 and 2.

has been extended. The connecting piece 6b is formed to be thin, curved outward, and elastically deformable, and is inserted into the connecting ring 5. The upper end of the connecting piece 6b is in elastic contact with the inner surface of the steel frame material 1, but a predetermined gap 7 is left between the other portions and the inner surface.

The connecting piece 6b of the connecting piece 6 is inserted, and as it descends further, the connecting ring eventually rides on the receiving part 6c of the connecting piece, and at this stage the lowering of the upper steel frame material is stopped. As a result, the root spacing 3 between the steel frames is maintained.

Place the back plates 9, 9 across the piece 6.
a are temporarily attached, and finally these joints are fully welded to join both steel frames 1 and 2.

Therefore, before the main welding of the butt joint 4, one back plate 9b is passed through the insertion recess 6e, and this back plate is temporarily fastened to close the butt joint 4. The other structures and operations in this example are substantially the same as in the above example, so corresponding parts are given the same reference numerals.

る。(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, according to the present invention, the spacing between the opposing ends of the steel frame can be secured by the connecting ring and the connecting piece, and the specially machined spacing piece can be omitted, so the processing can be done accordingly. It does not take much time, and the work to secure the spacing can be done at the same time as the connection, reducing the work involved in joining the steel frames. Since the connecting piece is provided with an insertion recess through which the back plate is inserted, only one back plate is required, which reduces the number of welded parts of the back plate, and improves work efficiency.
