該爪片4aを曲折してリヤドアガラス1とセンタ
ーシールラバー2の上端継目部分に係着させて該
センターシールラバー2のずれ下がりを防止する
ようにしている。一方、リヤドアガラス1の前側
上端コーナー部にはシリコンゴム5を被着してリ
テーナ4とリヤドアガラス1の前側上端コーナー
部周面との間に段差が生じないようにしてある。
しかし、このようにリテーナ4と前記リヤドアガ
ラス1の前側上端コーナー部周面との間の段差を
なくしても、センターシールラバー2の上端面と
爪片4aとの間には依然として段差が生じている
ため、第3,4図に示すようにリヤドアガラス1
を上限位置まで上昇させて、車体開口縁6に取付
けたボデイサイドウエザーストリツプ7に密接さ
せた時に、前記爪片4a付近で、該ボデイサイド
ウエザーストリツプ7とセンターシールラバー2
上端面ととの間に空隙δが生じ、水洩れ、風洩れ
の原因となつていた。また、前述のようにリヤド
アガラス1の前側上端コーナー部にシリコンラバ
ー5を被着しても、該シリコンラバー5をリテー
ナ4側縁および爪片4a側縁からリヤドアガラス
1面に連なるように精密に被着させることは困難
で、シリコンラバー5の被着状態にバラツキを生
じてしまうことは止むを得ず、この結果、リヤド
アガラス1前側上端面とボデイサイドウエザース
トリツプ7との密接部分に全く隙間がなくなるこ
とはなく、シール性に若干の問題があつた。更
に、このようにリヤドアガラス1の前側上端コー
ナー部に比較的大きな面積でシリコンラバー5を
被着するため外観上も見栄えが悪くなつてしまう
