Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the process, reduce the cost, and avoid the work environment from becoming bad by using a heat shrikage tube of rubber of a larger diameter than the outer diameter of a shaft memorizing a shape of a smaller inner diameter than the shaft diameter for a sheet feed roller. CONSTITUTION:A heat shrinkage tube 12 cut in a required length is engaged with a shaft 11. The shaft 11 and the heat shrikage tube 12 are then left in a high temperature tank of 100 - 200 deg.C for several min., so the heat shrinkage tube 12 is vulcanized completely and shrunk. The heat shrikage tube 12 is shrunk by heat to be tightely applied to the shaft 11, and a rubber layer 13 coats the shaft 11. Both ends of the rubber layer 13 are then cut in a necessary length, and the outer diameter of the rubber layer 13 is polished if necessary to complete a sheet feed roller. The sheet feed roller can thus be manufactured without using binding agent or dies.

As shown in Fig. 3, paper feed rollers are used in paper feed devices of office equipment such as printers and copiers.
Some types of shafts have a shaft (1) coated with a rubber layer (2). Conventional paper feed rollers of this type are manufactured by applying an adhesive to the shaft (1), inserting the shaft (1) together with a rubber material into a mold, and then vulcanizing the rubber material within the mold. A rubber layer (2) is adhesively coated on the circumferential surface of the shaft (1) via an adhesive, and then the rubber layer (2)
It is manufactured using a process of polishing the outside diameter.

By the way, in the above-mentioned conventional paper feed roller manufacturing method,
Since the rubber layer (2) is bonded and coated onto the shaft (1) with adhesive, the application of adhesive increases costs due to increased process and material costs, and the work environment deteriorates due to components harmful to the human body contained in the adhesive. is unavoidable. Furthermore, since a large amount of paper cannot be molded at the same time using a mold, production capacity is low, and various molds are required depending on the size of the paper feed roller. In addition, if the mold precision is not good, uneven thickness will occur in the rubber Fii (2), so if the rubber layer (2) is thin, the shaft (1) will be exposed due to the uneven thickness of the rubber layer (2) and molded. However, if there is a problem with the precision of the mold, it is difficult to
(2) Excessive wall thickness is formed and accuracy is ensured by polishing the outer diameter, but there is a drawback that the polishing process requires a lot of time and there is a lot of material loss.

Means for Solving the ε Problem] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing a paper feed roller in which the shaft is coated with a rubber layer, the shaft having an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the shaft. A heat-shrinkable tube made of rubber whose memorized inner diameter is larger than the outer diameter of the shaft is cut to the required length and fitted loosely, and the heat-shrinkable tube is heated to shrink, and the above-mentioned shape is attached to the shaft. A rubber layer is covered with a heat-shrinkable tube.

As described above, a heat shrink tube is loosely fitted onto the shaft, the heat shrink tube is heat shrinked, the heat shrink tube is tightly attached to the shaft, and a rubber layer is coated on the shaft. It is possible to manufacture a paper feed roller whose shaft is coated with a rubber layer without using a rubber layer.

In the method of the present invention, first, as shown in FIG. 1, a heat shrink tube (12) cut to the required length is loosely fitted into the shirt (11). Next, the shaft (11) and the heat-shrinkable tube (12) are left in a 100-200°C high-temperature bath for several minutes to completely cure and shrink the heat-shrinkable tube (12). Then, as shown in FIG. 2, the heat-shrink tube (12) is heat-shrinked to the shirt (11) and tightly adheres to the shaft (11), and the rubber layer (13) covers the shaft (11). After that, the rubber layer (13)

According to the method of the present invention, the heat shrink tube (12) is loosely fitted into the shirt (11), the heat shrink tube (12) is heat-shrinked, and the heat shrink tube (12) is attached to the shirt (11). Since the shaft (11) is coated with the rubber layer (13) in close contact with the rubber layer (13), the paper feed roller can be manufactured without using adhesives or molds as in the past.

As explained above, the present invention makes it possible to manufacture a paper feed roller whose shaft is coated with a rubber layer without using an adhesive or a mold. This makes it possible to omit the need for adhesive application, which simplifies the process and reduces costs, while also avoiding deterioration of the work environment. Also, unlike molding with molds, large quantities can be processed simultaneously in a high-temperature bath. Because it can be done in a short time,
Production capacity can be significantly increased. In addition, since the outer diameter and wall thickness of the rubber layer are already determined when extruding the heat shrink tube, there is no need to polish the outer diameter of the rubber layer for products with rough precision, and for products that require high precision. Even if it is necessary to polish the rubber layer, as long as the amount of polishing is minimized when extruding the heat-shrinkable tube, a small amount of polishing is sufficient (it is possible to reduce polishing processing time and material loss). .
