Industrial Application Field The present invention relates to a method for forming a new alloy powder for permanent magnets containing R (where R is at least one rare earth element including Y), B, and Fe as main components. The present invention relates to a method for molding an alloy powder for a magnet using an organic moldability improver, which provides a permanent magnet with improved body strength, excellent magnetic properties, and stable quality. BACKGROUND ART Permanent magnetic materials are one of the extremely important electrical and electronic materials used in a wide range of fields, from various household appliances to peripheral terminal equipment for large computers. With the recent demand for smaller size and higher efficiency of electrical and electronic equipment, permanent magnet materials are required to have increasingly higher performance. Current typical permanent magnet materials are alnico, hard ferrite magnets and rare earth cobalt magnets. As the cobalt raw material situation has become unstable in recent years, the demand for alnico magnets containing 20 to 30 wt% cobalt has decreased, and inexpensive hard ferrite magnets, whose main component is iron oxide, have become the mainstream magnet material. It became. On the other hand, rare earth cobalt magnets contain cobalt from 50 to
It is very expensive because it contains 60wt% and uses Sm, which is not included in rare earth ores.
Compared to other magnets, the magnetic properties are much higher,
It has come to be used mainly for small, high value-added magnetic circuits. Therefore, the present inventor first developed Fe-B- as a new high-performance permanent magnet that does not contain expensive Sm or Co.
We proposed an R-based permanent magnet (R is at least one rare earth element including Y, and Fe-B-R ternary compounds exist regardless of the type of R) (patent application 1983-
No. 145072). Furthermore, in order to improve the temperature characteristics of permanent magnets made of Fe-BR-based magnetically anisotropic sintered bodies, some of the Fe is replaced with Co, thereby raising the Curie point of the resulting alloy. We proposed a permanent magnet made of an anisotropic sintered Fe-Co-B-R system with improved temperature characteristics (Japanese Patent Application No. 166663/1982). The above novel Fe-BR system, Fe-Co-BR
system (R is at least one rare earth element including Y
The rare earth metal that is the starting material for manufacturing permanent magnets is generally a metal lump produced by Ca reduction method or electrolysis method, and using this rare earth metal lump, for example, the following process permanent magnets are manufactured. As a starting material, electrolytic iron with a purity of 99.9%,
Feroboron alloy containing 19.4% B and the remainder consisting of Fe and impurities such as Al, Si, and C, purity 99.7%
Rare earth metals of more than 99.9 purity
% of electrolytic Co is high-frequency melted, and then cast into a water-cooled copper mold. Coarsely pulverized with a stamp mill to a mesh throughput of 35%, and then wet-pulverized, for example, 300 g of coarsely pulverized powder with a ball mill for 6 hours to a size of 3 to 10 μm. Fine powder is oriented in a magnetic field (10kOe) and molded (1.5t/cm 2
Sintering at 1000°C to 1200°C for 1 hour. After sintering in Ar, allow to cool. Aging treatment, 500℃~1000℃, in Ar. As mentioned above, this new alloy powder for permanent magnets is obtained by coarsely pulverizing and finely pulverizing an ingot of the desired composition, but the pulverized powder has very poor formability, and the die wall surface Due to friction with etc.
Scratches, peeling, cracking, etc. are likely to occur on the die surface and the molded body surface, which poses a major problem in terms of quality and product yield. Therefore, in order to improve such moldability, the present inventors
Binders such as paraffin wax, stearic acid, bisamide, or zinc stearate,
Addition of lubricant was carried out. However, paraffin wax has a small effect on improving formability, and when used in large quantities, it inhibits the magnetic field orientation of the alloy powder and makes it difficult to become anisotropic. Also, in the subsequent sintering process, carbon is added to the sintered body. remain,
Stearic acid has the disadvantage of deteriorating magnetic properties, and in the case of stearic acid, it reduces the strength of the molded product, while in the case of bisamide and zinc stearate,
It was difficult to uniformly disperse the alloy powder into the alloy powder, and the alloy powder itself could not be completely prevented from sticking to friction surfaces such as the die surface, resulting in scratches on the compact and the die surface. The purpose of this invention is to provide a method for forming an alloy powder for a new R-B-Fe permanent magnet having stable quality and excellent magnetic properties, and to improve dispersibility in the alloy powder. This permanent RBFe-based permanent magnet uses a formability improver that has excellent lubricity and greatly reduces friction between the die surface and the molded object, has a high formability improvement effect, and does not cause deterioration of the magnet's magnetic properties. The purpose is a method for forming alloy powder for magnets. Structure of the Invention That is, the present invention comprises R 10 atomic % to 30 atomic % (however, R is at least one kind of rare earth elements including Y), B 2 atomic % to 28 atomic %, Fe 65 atomic % to 82 At least one selected from polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene monofatty acid ester, and polyoxyethylene alkyl allyl ether is added to an alloy powder whose main component is 0.3 atomic percent per 100 parts by weight of the above alloy powder. Parts by weight or less, and at least one of solid paraffin and paraffin per 100 parts by weight of the above alloy powder,
This is a method for forming an alloy powder for permanent magnets, which is characterized by adding 2.5 parts by weight or less, mixing, and then forming. This invention was developed as a result of various studies on moldability improvers used in molding alloy powder for permanent magnets containing R, B, and Fe as main components.Specific amounts of polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene monofatty acid ester, It has been found that at least one selected from polyoxyethylene alkyl allyl ether is optimal. It has excellent dispersibility in alloy powder, has excellent lubricity even when added in a small amount, and has excellent lubricity on the die surface and molding. It greatly reduces body friction and is highly effective in improving formability.
Another advantage is that the magnetic properties of the sintered magnet do not deteriorate. However, when continuously molding a molded product shape, especially a molded product that has a large frictional area with the die, or has a large frictional area and is thin in the direction perpendicular to the friction surface, so-called vertical scratches may occur. There was a problem where chipping easily occurred. Therefore, as a result of further investigation, we found that solid paraffin, which has excellent bonding properties, was added to the above-mentioned molded body improving agent.
It has been found that the continuous moldability of the above-mentioned thin-walled molded article can be significantly improved by blending at least one of these materials. That is, the solid paraffin and/or powder is uniformly dispersed within the alloy powder due to the large dispersion properties of the above-mentioned formability improver, and due to the synergistic effect of its bonding properties and the lubricating properties of the improver,
It exhibits excellent prevention and durability against scratches caused by large frictional forces. In this invention, the polyoxyethylene alkyl ether is polyoxyethylene lauryl ether, polyoxyethylene cetyl ether, polyoxyethylene stearyl ether, polyoxyethylene oleyl ether, polyoxyethylene higher alcohol ether, or a mixture thereof, and the alkyl A long-chain one is preferable. Further, polyoxyethylene monofatty acid esters include polyethylene glycol monolaurate, polyethylene glycol monostearate, polyethylene glycol monooleate, or mixtures thereof, and esters of long chain fatty acids are preferred, and they are not included during their production. Although it can be used even if it contains a diester such as polyethylene glycol distearate,
Preferably, monoester is the main component. Further, the polyoxyethylene alkyl allyl ether is polyoxyethylene octyl phenyl ether, polyoxyethylene nonyl phenyl ether, or a mixture thereof, and the alkyl preferably has a long chain. The above polyoxyethylene alkyl ether,
Two or more types of polyoxyethylene monofatty acid ester and polyoxyethylene alkyl allyl ether can be used as a mixture. When wet mixing into alloy powder, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, The HLB (hydrophilicity/lipophilicity ratio) of the oxyethylene monofatty acid ester and polyoxyethylene alkyl allyl ether is preferably 20 or less. General commercial products can be used as the solid paraffin, and in order to improve the strength of the molded product, it is preferably wax-like, wax-like, or solid at room temperature. Therefore, it is preferable that the molecular weight is not too large, and it is preferable that the number of carbon atoms is 50 or less. There are natural and synthetic types of shounou, and it is also called kunghua in English, and commercially available products can be used. In this invention, the amount of the above-mentioned formability improver added alone or in combination is determined by the particle size of the raw alloy powder, the shape and dimensions of the die, the shape and size of the compact, the friction area,
It can be selected appropriately depending on the pressing conditions, etc., and a small amount of addition has a large effect on improving formability, and as the amount of addition increases, formability improves significantly, but alloy powder
If the amount of the above-mentioned improver added exceeds 0.3 parts by weight and the amount of solid paraffin and/or powder added exceeds 2.5 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight, the magnetic properties as a permanent magnet will deteriorate significantly. The upper limit of the amount added must be 0.3 parts by weight and 2.5 parts by weight, respectively, and the preferable amount is that the moldability improver is
The amount is 0.01 part by weight to 0.2 part by weight, and the amount of solid paraffin and/or powder is 0.01 part by weight to 2.0 part by weight. In addition, a moldability improver, solid paraffin and/or
The blending ratio of the ingredients is not particularly limited, but the ratio of the former to the latter is preferably 1/30 to 5/1. In addition, in this invention, the organic formability improver may be added to the alloy powder by either dry mixing or wet mixing using a solvent, but the alloy powder is easily reactive with oxygen or moisture, Since it is active, it is preferable to carry out the process in a wet manner, and the solvent used is preferably an inert solvent such as hexane, toluene, trichloroethylene, or a fluorine-based solvent. The mixing state may be in either a dry state or a slurry state, and for example, mixing may be carried out as appropriate during or before or after the wet pulverization process, or during or before or after the drying process. In this invention, the alloy powder can be molded in the same manner as a normal powder metallurgy method, and an anisotropic magnet or an isotropic magnet can be obtained depending on whether or not a magnetic field is applied during pressure molding. Reasons for limiting the composition of the alloy powder for magnets The reasons for limiting the composition of the raw material alloy powder for rare earth/iron/boron permanent magnets in the present invention will be explained below. The rare earth element R contained in the raw material alloy powder for permanent magnets of this invention is a rare earth element that includes yttrium (Y) and includes light rare earths and heavy rare earths, and R includes Nd, Pr, La, Ce, Tb, Dy,
Ho, Er, Eu, Sm, Gd, Pm, Tm, Yb, Lu and Y are included. As R, a light rare earth element is sufficient, especially Nd,
Pr is preferred. Also, it is usually sufficient to have one type of R, but in practice, a mixture of two or more types (Mitsushimetal, dididium, etc.) can be used for reasons such as convenience of availability, and Sm, Y, La, Ce, Gd , etc. can be used as a mixture with other R, especially Nd, Pr, etc. Note that this R does not have to be a pure rare earth element, and may contain impurities that are unavoidable in production within an industrially available range. R (at least one rare earth element including Y)
is an essential element for the alloy powder used to manufacture the new above-mentioned permanent magnets. If it is less than 10 atomic%, high magnetic properties, especially high coercive force, cannot be obtained, and if it exceeds 30 atomic%, the residual magnetic flux density (Br) will decrease. As a result, permanent magnets with excellent properties cannot be obtained. Therefore, Rha should be in the range of 10 atomic % to 30 atomic %. B is an essential element for the alloy powder used to manufacture the new above-mentioned permanent magnets, and if it is less than 2 atomic %, high coercive force (iHc) cannot be obtained, and if it exceeds 28 atomic %, the residual magnetic flux density (Br) will decrease. As a result, excellent permanent magnets cannot be obtained. Therefore, B is 2 atomic%
The content should be in the range of ~28 atom%. Fe is an essential element in the alloy powder used to manufacture the new above-mentioned permanent magnets, but if it is less than 65 at%, the residual magnetic flux density (Br) decreases, and if it exceeds 82 at%, high coercive force cannot be obtained. Therefore, Fe is limited to 65 atomic % to 82 atomic %. In addition, the reason why a part of Fe is replaced with Co is that it has the effect of improving the temperature characteristics of a permanent magnet. If Co exceeds 50% of Fe, high coercive force cannot be obtained, and the excellent Permanent magnets cannot be obtained. Therefore, the upper limit for Co is 50%. In order to obtain an excellent permanent magnet having both a high residual magnetic flux density and a high coercive force in the alloy powder of this invention, R10 atomic% to 25 atomic%, B4 atomic% to 26 atomic%, Fe65 atomic% to 82 atomic% are required. % is preferred. Further, the alloy powder according to the present invention has R, B,
In addition to Fe, the presence of unavoidable impurities in industrial production can be tolerated, but some of the B can be replaced with 4.0 atom% or less of C, 3.5 atom% or less of P, 2.5 atom% or less of S, and 3.5 atom% or less of B. By replacing at least one type of Cu in a total amount of 4.0 atomic % or less, the manufacturability of magnetic alloys can be improved.
It is possible to lower the price. Furthermore, in the R, B, Fe alloy or R, B, Fe alloy containing Co, Al of 9.5 atomic % or less, Ti of 4.5 atomic % or less, V of 9.5 atomic % or less, Cr of 8.5 atomic % or less, 8.0 atomic% or less Mn, 5 atomic% or less Bi, 12.5 atomic% or less Nb, 10.5 atomic% or less Ta, 9.5 atomic% or less Mo, 9.5 atomic% or less W, 2.5 atomic% or less Sb, 7 By adding at least one of Ge at % or less, Sn at 35 atomic% or less, Zr at 5.5 atomic% or less, and Hf at 5.5 atomic% or less, it is possible to increase the coercive force of the permanent magnet alloy. It is essential that the main crystal phase be tetragonal in order to obtain a fine and uniform alloy powder. If the average particle size of the fine alloy powder according to the present invention exceeds 10 μm, excellent magnetic properties, especially high coercive force, cannot be obtained when producing a permanent magnet, and if the average particle size is less than 1 μm, it will not be possible to obtain a permanent magnet. Fine alloy powder with an average particle size of 1 to 10 μm is most desirable because oxidation is significant during the steps, ie, press forming, sintering, and aging treatment steps, making it impossible to obtain excellent magnetic properties. The magnetically anisotropic permanent magnet alloy obtained using the alloy fine powder for permanent magnets according to the present invention has a coercive force

The maximum energy product (BH)max is equal to or higher than that of hard ferrite, and in the most preferable composition range, (BH)max≧10MGOe, and the maximum value is
Reach over 25MGOe. Further, the composition of the alloy fine powder according to the present invention is
R10 atomic% ~ 30 atomic%, B2 atomic% ~ 28 atomic%,
For Co45 atomic% or less, Fe65 atomic% to 82 atomic%,
The resulting magnetically anisotropic permanent magnet alloy exhibits magnetic properties equivalent to those of the above-mentioned magnet alloy, and has a temperature coefficient of residual magnetic flux density of 0.1%/°C or less, providing excellent properties. In addition, when the main component of R in the alloy powder is 50% or more of light rare earth metals, R12 at% to 20 at%, B4 at% to 24 at%, Fe65 at% to 82 at%, or Furthermore, it exhibits the best magnetic properties when containing 5 to 45 at% of Co.
Especially when the light rare earth metal is Nd, (BH)max

%, with the remainder being impurities such as Fe and C. A predetermined amount of Nd with a purity of 99.7% or higher is mixed and high-frequency melted, and then cast into a water-cooled copper mold to form a cast with a composition of 15Nd8B77Fe (at%). Got a lump. This ingot was mechanically crushed to a roughness of 35 mesh throughput. Then, fine pulverization was performed using a ball mill to obtain an alloy powder with an average particle size of 3.3 μm. To this alloy powder, as shown in Table 1, the composite addition of a formability improver, solid paraffin and/or powder according to the present invention (Samples Nos. 1 to 5), and the single addition of the above-mentioned improver etc. for comparison. 12) For each 100 parts by weight of alloy powder,
0.05 to 0.5 parts by weight of each were previously dissolved or dispersed in trichlorotrifluoroethane, wet mixed, and then dried. Using this dry alloy powder, it was oriented in a magnetic field of 12 kOe and pressure-molded at 1.5 t/cm 2 to a width of 6 mm x length of 32 mm.
It was molded continuously 25 times to form a molded body of mm x height 15 mm.
The appearance and molding conditions of the molded product during this molding were observed, and the results are shown in Table 1. In addition, the ejection pressure and powder density of the molded body during molding were oriented in a magnetic field of 12 kOe, and pressure molded at 2t/cm 2 , width 15 mm x length 16
Measured under conditions to obtain a molded body of mm x height 10 mm, and the first
Shown in the table. The green strength index in Table 1 is expressed as the weight remaining after the molded body is rotated 100 times using a Rattler tester. Furthermore, the molded bodies of the present invention shown in Table 1 were pretreated in vacuum at 200°C to 300°C for 2 hours, then sintered in Ar at 1100°C for 1 hour, and further in Ar. After aging treatment at 600℃ for 1 hour,
A permanent magnet was created. The magnetic properties of the obtained permanent magnet were measured and are shown in Table 1. As is clear from Table 1, due to the synergistic effect of the dispersion properties, lubrication properties, and bonding properties of the composite addition of the present invention, durability is imparted even with a small amount of addition, and moldability is greatly improved. It can be seen that the magnetic properties are also excellent.
