[発明が解決しようとする課題]

と定着装置とが近接する傾向にあり、定着装置による温
度上昇は現像器内のトナーや感光体ドラムに悪影響を与
え、画像濃度か適当でなくなる等の不具合を発生すると
いう問題点があった。また定着装置自身においても、昇
温か激しいと、記録材を、定着フィルムを介して加熱体
に押圧する加圧ローラや加圧ローラを支持する軸受部等
の部品に耐熱材質を使用する必要があり、定着装置の製
造原価の上昇につながるという問題点があった。さらに
、画像形成装置の小型化に伴ない、外装面を形成するカ
バーと内部部品やユニットを保持する筐体とを一体化し

受部等の材質を耐熱性の比較的低いものにすることがで
き、装置の低価化が可能となる。さらに、筐体の定着器
近くの温度上昇がおさえられ、汎用の合成樹脂材料の使
用が可能となり、低価格の装置が容易に得られるなどの
