Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture easily at high production efficiency even a bent tile having a groove or a notch running along a bending direction, by a method wherein an extruded matter or body from an extrusion molding machine is made into a rectangular material by cutting the same and the rectangular material is bent by pressing the same against a bent surface. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a groove or a notch which runs along a bent surface is provided in a bent tile, a protrusion for formation of the groove or the notch is provided on an extrusion molding machine and an extrusion molded material 1 having, for example, notches 1A-1D, in an angular fringe part is extruded. The extrusion molded material 1 is cut in fixed lengths so that an extruding direction 4 becomes a longitudinal direction and a rectangular material 2 is obtained. The same is pressed against a bent surface before cure and bent along a longitudinal direction. The rectangular material 2 is put between, for example, bent molds 3, 4 and bent. In the case where an angle to be formed of both end surfaces and the bent surface is required to be a right angle from a view point of building, in a bent tile, the bent mold 3 having slopes 3B, 3C meeting at right angles with a protrusion forming part 3A is used, a cutting edge is moved along the slopes 3B, 3C and processing of an end part can be performed easily. The rectangular material 2 where the end part is processed is fired after drying and glazing and made into a product.

[Prior Art] Bent tiles 11 as shown in FIG. 5 are sometimes constructed at some corners of buildings. Conventionally, such curved tiles 11 are produced by continuously extruding a molded product 12 curved in a direction perpendicular to the extrusion direction A, as shown in FIG. death,
After cutting this to a certain length (dotted line position in Figure 6),
It is manufactured by firing.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The conventional curved tile manufacturing method described above is suitable for manufacturing a curved tile 11 without cutouts or grooves as shown in FIG. This is extremely unsuitable for manufacturing curved tiles 13 having cutouts 13a, 13b and water 13c, 13d along the curved direction of the curved surface.

That is, in the extrusion molding method as shown in FIG. 346, it is not possible to form cutouts or grooves along the curved direction of the curved surface of the curved tile during extrusion molding. For this reason, it is necessary to perform a cutting operation to form notches and grooves in the molded product obtained by extrusion molding, but it is not possible to form notches and grooves along the curved direction of the curved surface of the curved tile. It is very time consuming and requires a high level of skill, resulting in very poor productivity.

[Function] In the curved tile molding method of the present invention, the molded body is curved in the direction in which the clay is extruded from the extrusion molding machine. For this reason,
Grooves and notches are formed in advance by extrusion molding, cut into a straight body so that the extrusion direction is the longitudinal direction, and this straight body is pressed against a curved surface and cut along the longitudinal direction. By curving, it is possible to easily obtain a curved tile having grooves and notches along the curved surface.

During this extrusion, if it is necessary to provide grooves or notches along the curved surface of the curved tile to be manufactured, the extrusion molding machine should be provided with a convex part for forming the grooves or notches. Assume that it is an extrusion molded product. In the example shown in FIG. 1, an extrusion molded body 1 having notches 1A, IB, IC, and ID at the corner edges is extruded. The extrusion molded body 1 shown in FIG. 1 is a product that is divided into two parts after firing.

Next, this extrusion molded body 1 is cut into a predetermined length so that the extrusion direction A becomes the longitudinal direction (broken line in FIG. 1) to obtain a straight body 2 as shown in FIG. 2.

That is, in the construction of a curved tile, both end faces and a curved surface may be required to be at right angles. In this case, for example, it is necessary to cut off the end of the curved tile along the broken line B shown in FIG. By using the curved die 3 having the inclined surfaces 3B and 3C perpendicular to the curved surface, the edges of the curved tile can be easily processed by moving the cutting blade along the inclined surfaces 3B and 3C.

Note that the examples shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 are merely examples of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to the illustrated method in any way. For example, as a mold for curving a straight body, it is not necessarily necessary to use a pair of molds, a female mold for forming a convex curved surface and a male mold for forming a concave curved surface, and it is also possible to use only one of them. For example, only a male die 5 as shown in FIG. 8 may be used, and the straight body 2 may be pressed against it to curve it.

The curved tile forming method of the present invention is particularly effective for manufacturing curved tiles that have grooves or notches along the curved direction of the curved surface, but it is also applicable to the manufacturing of curved tiles that do not have such grooves or notches. It goes without saying that it can be done.

[Effects of the Invention] As detailed above, according to the curved tile forming method of the present invention, even if the curved tile has grooves or notches along the curved direction of the curved surface, complicated groove processing or cutting on the curved surface can be avoided. It is possible to manufacture easily and efficiently with high productivity without requiring chipping.
