Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop the power supply to facsimile equipment mounted on a vehicle when the equipment is not used and to reduce the burden to the battery of the vehicle by providing a remote switch which selectively turns on/off the power supply to the facsimile equipment at the proper place in the vehicle and adding a displaying means which displays the operating state of the facsimile equipment to the remote switch. CONSTITUTION:A handle 32 is provided in front of a dashboard 31 and a remote switch 15 is stuck to the proper place on the dashboard 31 with such an appropriate means as double coated adhesive tape near the handle 32. In addition, the remote switch 15 is constituted of an appropriate LED 15A and switch section 15B and such character codes as 'FAX' are fitted near the LED 15A.

By the way, among such information devices, facsimile devices that print out information from a remote location on paper are also being installed in vehicles. Various efforts have been made to improve the usability of such facsimile devices. For example, devices have been developed that allow easy reception operations while the vehicle is in motion. Some vehicles have a remote switch installed near the driver's seat of the vehicle to enable desired operations.

However, in this conventional system, when the vehicle starts running, the bus enters a standby state where power is applied even if it is not in use, which increases the burden on the battery of the vehicle. . Furthermore, the remote switch used in this prior art is not provided with any means, such as a suitable LED, to indicate the usage status of the facsimile machine, making it difficult to easily check its usage status. There was also the drawback that it was not possible to do so.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Conventional vehicle-mounted facsimile systems have the configuration and operation described above, and it is important to develop a system that allows reception operations to be easily performed while the vehicle is running. However, when the vehicle starts traveling, there is a problem in that even if the facsimile device is not in use, it enters a standby state with power applied, increasing the burden on the battery installed in the vehicle. . Furthermore, the facsimile machine used in this conventional facsimile machine is not provided with a means to indicate the usage status of the facsimile machine, and there is a problem in that it is not possible to easily check the usage status of the facsimile machine. There were also points.

Effects of the Invention As explained above, the vehicle-mounted facsimile system according to the present invention has a remote switch that selectively controls the power supply of the facsimile device by turning it ON/OFF by the ON10FF operation. that it is provided in
The facsimile device is characterized in that a display means for indicating the operating state of the facsimile device is attached to the remote switch, and when the facsimile device is not in use, the application of power is stopped, thereby reducing the burden on the battery in the vehicle. In addition to reducing the noise, pressing the remote switch enables the facsimile machine to enter reception mode as soon as it is powered on, and by providing suitable means such as LEDs. , it is possible to easily check its usage status.
