[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Field of Application] This invention relates to a lid for a cooking utensil, and particularly to a lid that prevents water droplets from falling onto food to be cooked.

As is well known, water droplets adhere to the inner surface of the lid of a cooking utensil due to steam generated from the food being cooked, and when the weight of the water droplets becomes large, they fall into the food being cooked. Depending on the type of cooking, such water droplets may not be a problem, but if the amount of falling water droplets increases, it will affect the taste and finish of the food.

Therefore, the purpose of this invention is to allow water droplets adhering to the inner surface of the lid to slide down as much as possible, thereby reducing the amount of water droplets that fall directly onto the food being cooked.

[Means for solving the problem] This invention, as a means to solve the above problem, forms a tapered part at the top of the bowl-shaped lid, and makes the slope of the inner surface of the tapered part lower than the slope near the top of the lid. The lid is formed steeply, and the hem of the steep portion has a gently curved surface that is continuous with the inner surface of the lid.

The water droplets adhering to the inner surface of the taper part are accelerated by the steep slope while sliding down the inner surface of the taper part, and coalesce with the water droplets adhering to the vicinity of the top of the lid.
Give them a chance to start slipping.

A tapered part 6 is formed on the top of the lid 4, and a threaded part 7 rising from the bottom of the tapered part 6 is formed on the outer periphery of the tapered part 6, and a knob 5 is screwed onto the outer periphery of the threaded part 7. By doing so, the threaded portion 7 and the threaded portion 6 are not visible from the outside.

The slope of the inner surface of the tapered portion 6 is steeper than the slope near the top of the lid 4, and the bottom portion of the steep portion continues to the inner surface of the lid 4 near the top with a gently curved surface.

Now, if water vapor generated inside the steamer body 1 touches the inner surface of the lid 4 and the inner surface of the tapered part 6 and condenses, and water droplets gradually grow, the water droplets on the tapered part 6 will slide down first and form a steep slope. As a result, the water is accelerated, moves from the hem portion to the inner surface of the lid 4 without leaving the steep portion, coalesces with the water droplets adhering to the inner surface of the lid 4, and gives the water droplets an initial velocity for sliding down. That is, in the case where there is no tapered part 6 as described above, if the lid 4 grows larger than a certain level due to the influence of the slope of the inner surface of the lid 4, the ease of wettability, the surface tension of water droplets, etc., it will fall spontaneously, or in some cases. Eventually, it will slide down, but if the tapered portion 6 exists, an initial velocity in the direction of sliding down will be applied earlier than the spontaneous movement, so that the water droplets that would have fallen from the natural state will fall off the lid 4. It will slide down along the inside surface. Note that the water droplets that have slid down return to the container 2.

As mentioned above, this invention forms a steeply tapered part at the top of the lid, so that water droplets accelerated at the steep part smoothly move from the bottom part to the inner surface of the lid without falling. It combines with water droplets adhering to the inner surface of the lid and gives them an initial velocity in the direction of sliding down, which has the effect of reducing the amount of water droplets that fall onto the food.
