すなわち本発明の架橋ゴム・プラスチツク絶縁
ケーブル接続部の形成方法は、段剥して接続され
たケーブルの導体接続部上に設けられた架橋され
たゴム・プラスチツクからなる絶縁補強層の外周
に外部半導電層を形成するにあたり、前記絶縁補
強層の外周に加熱により融着可能な絶縁性ゴム・
プラスチツクテープ巻回層を設け、この絶縁性ゴ
ム・プラスチツクテープ巻回層の外周に架橋され
たゴム・プラスチツクをベースとする半導電性熱
収縮チユーブを装着して加熱し前記半導電性熱収
縮チユーブを収縮させるとともに前記絶縁性ゴ
ム・プラスチツク巻回層を溶融させ、前記絶縁補
強層、絶縁性ゴム・プラスチツクテープ巻回層お
よび半導電性熱収縮チユーブを一体に融着させる

優れたケーブル接続部が得られる。また絶縁性ゴ
ム・プラスチツクテープの巻回層の厚さも僅かで
よいのでその形成に手数もさほどかからず短時間

熱し前記半導電性熱収縮チユーブを収縮させると
ともに前記絶縁性ゴム・プラスチツク巻回層を溶
融させ、前記絶縁補強層、絶縁性ゴム・プラスチ
ツクテープ巻回層および半導電性熱収縮チユーブ
を一体に融着させることを特徴とする架橋ゴム・
