結果を次表に示す。
INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION FIELD The present invention relates to a puncture prevention tape used to prevent tire punctures caused by punctures of vehicle tires by sharp nails, glass, and other solid debris from the road surface. BACKGROUND TECHNOLOGY Conventionally, as means for preventing this type of tire puncture, for example, a breaker made of a woven fabric having high tensile strength is buried between the tread portion of the tire and the carcass, or Known methods include gluing a breaker made of a fine-grained, densely woven fabric to the tire, and fitting a tape made of a resin such as polyurethane along the entire length of the circumferential surface between the tire carcass and tube. . Problems that the invention aims to solve: However, although tires with such puncture-resistant breakers have improved puncture resistance,
Depending on the structure of the tire, there is a drawback that separation and cracking of the adhesive part is likely to occur when both ends of the breaker are sewn.
In any case, puncture resistance depends solely on the strength of the breaker used. In addition, the free movement of the fibers in this type of tire breaker is completely blocked, making it more susceptible to being cut by sharp blades, etc., and the flexibility of the breaker fibers is significantly reduced. This dramatically increases the rolling resistance of tires when running on road surfaces. Furthermore, when puncture prevention tapes such as polyurethane are used, the tapes tend to shift during running, and the puncture-proofing effect is not satisfactory. Means for Solving the Problems The present inventors conducted various studies to improve the puncture prevention properties of tires, and as a result, they arrived at the present invention. In other words, the present invention provides a puncture tape in which a double-sided adhesive tape with a release liner on one side is attached to one side of a tape made of non-woven fabric, or a tape made of non-woven fabric is coated or coated with an adhesive and a release liner is attached thereon. This relates to a prevention tape. The nonwoven fabric used in the present invention refers to a cloth-like material in which natural or synthetic fiber staples or continuous filaments are joined by adhesive, molten fibers, or mechanical methods. Materials include cotton, rayon, nylon, polyester, Examples include polyvinyl alcohol, aromatic polyamide, glass fiber, metal fiber, etc., and nonwoven fabrics are made by appropriately mixing one or more of these materials. The method of manufacturing the puncture prevention tape of the present invention is as follows:
For example, this can be done by peeling off the release liner on one side of a commercially available double-sided adhesive tape and attaching the adhesive side to one side of a tape-shaped nonwoven fabric cut to a predetermined width. Other methods include natural rubber, synthetic rubber, or synthetic resins such as polyvinyl ether, polyvinyl methyl ether, polyvinyl isobutyl ether, and acrylic polymers, as well as pine resin, polyterpene resin, petroleum resin, chroman resin, and softening agent as tackifiers. This can be done by coating or applying an adhesive mixed with vegetable oil, mineral oil, etc. to one side of the nonwoven fabric, and pasting a release liner on top of it. Function: When using the tape of the present invention to prevent punctures, cut the tape of the present invention on the inner surface of the carcass of the tire along the circumferential length of the tire with scissors, peel off the release liner, and apply the adhesive. Simply attach the side with the agent to the inner surface of the carcass. The tape of the present invention can be easily attached to tires that do not have a puncture prevention layer, making them puncture-resistant.Moreover, since it is convenient to carry, it can be used when changing tires while driving. It can also be easily installed. Embodiment FIG. 1 shows an example of a puncture prevention tape according to the present invention. 1 is a tape made of a nonwoven fabric, 2 is an adhesive layer applied to one side of the tape, and 3 is a release liner pasted on layer 2. FIG. 2 shows a situation where a nail pierces the tire to which the puncture prevention tape 4 is adhered. In this example, the tire 5 is a gum wall type tire in which a bead portion 6 embedded in bead rubber 5 at both ears is surrounded by a carcass 7 made of a two-ply bias-like sagging cloth, and a tread 8 is arranged on the ground side surface. ing. 9 is a tube, 10 is a rim, and the puncture prevention tape 4 is adhered to the inner surface of the carcass in the entire circumferential direction. A nail 11 penetrates the tread and carcass to reach the tape 4, but the tape prevents the nail from reaching the tube. With conventional tires where the breaker layer is embedded inside the tire or glued to the carcass, nails, etc. can easily pierce the weave, and if the breaker layer were to pierce through, there would be no puncture protection effect. Since the puncture prevention tape according to the present invention is in the form of an unwoven cloth or felt made of dense, random tangles of fibers, it is difficult for nails to penetrate the breaker layer, and it does not bend in the thickness direction.
Because there is more freedom of movement, punctures can be more effectively prevented. In addition, in this invention, the nonwoven fabric that makes up the tape has essentially a higher degree of fiber freedom than conventional woven fabrics, and does not require resin coating. It is possible to make it comparable to a tire without a puncture layer. What is even more surprising is that the wear of the rubber in the tread portion can be significantly reduced by installing the nonwoven fabric. Example 1 A non-woven fabric made of staple threads of Kevlar (trade name manufactured by Dupont) was cut into tapes with a width of 20 mm, and a double-sided adhesive tape having a release liner on one side was attached to one side of the tape and pressed with a rubber roller. . The tape made of this nonwoven fabric was cut with scissors to a length of 179 cm, the release liner was removed, and the tape was applied with fingers to the entire circumference of the carcass of a WO26 x 13/8 tire. Example 2 A nonwoven fabric made of stable yarn of aramid fibers with a meta/para ratio of 7/3 was cut into a tape shape with a width of 20 mm, and a double-sided adhesive tape was attached in the same manner as in Example 1. using tape,
A tire of WO26×13/8 was made. Example 3 A nonwoven fabric made of polyester staple yarn was cut into a tape shape with a width of 20 mm, and one side was coated with 100 parts by weight of neoprene, 50 parts by weight of petroleum resin (Escorets 1102B, trade name of Etsuo Chemical Co., Ltd.) as a tackifier, and magnesium oxide. A solution prepared by dissolving 4 parts by weight of zinc white and 5 parts by weight of zinc white in 500 parts by weight of toluene was applied using a coater, the solvent was dried, and a tape made of a polyester film cut into a width of 20 mm was applied as a release liner thereon. Using this nonwoven fabric, a WO26 x 13/8 tire was produced by the method described above. Comparative Example 1 In a normal tire molding process, a vulcanizable compounded rubber was topped on both sides of a woven fabric made of polyester staples, cut into a tape with a width of 20 mm, and pasted by sandwiching it between the tread rubber and the carcass. The molded product was vulcanized using a conventional vulcanization method to produce a WO26×13/8 gum wall tire. Comparative Example 2 In a normal tire molding process, a tire without a breaker was vulcanized using a normal vulcanization method to create a WO26×13/8 gum wall tire. Comparative Example 3 A tire without a breaker was vulcanized using a normal vulcanization method in a normal tire molding process.
An open side tire of WO26×13/8 was created. Comparative Example 4 A tire without a breaker was vulcanized in a normal tubular molding process using a normal vulcanization method to create a tubular tire. The tires made in Examples 1 to 3 and Comparative Examples 1 to 4 were subjected to the following conditions: internal pressure, 50 kg load, and running speed.
Road surface characteristics tests were conducted at 20km/hour, inclination angle of 0°, and sideslip angle of 0°, and rolling resistance values were measured. On the other hand, the same tire as above was run on a drum running test machine based on JIS-K-630Z, and the separation condition at both ends of the breaker bonded part was observed.
The amount of wear of the tread rubber after running was measured by the amount of remaining thickness. In addition, the same tire as above was set in a tensile testing machine with the internal pressure under the following conditions, and a razor blade with a blade length of 25 mm was pressed at a moving speed of 25 mm/min to determine the force required to puncture the tire with the razor blade (puncture resistance). It was measured. The results are shown in the table below.
