られるシリコーンゴムにも任意の彩色を施す要求がある
ことは言うまでもない。一方、顔料は、その大きい表面
自由エネルギーや、比表面積、極性など、化学的にも、
物理的にも活性が強く、ビヒクルとの相性が必ずしも良
好とは言えない。特に低極性で、結晶化部を有しないシ
リコーンは、良好に分散可能な顔料がアゾ顔料、アゾレ
ーキ顔料、還元型フタロシアニン顔料、ニトリソ顔料等
に限定されていた。ところがこれらは、耐熱性が悪く、
200 ℃程度で容易に変退色して実用不適であった。ま
た、ペリレン系顔料、キナクリドン系顔料、ペリレン系
顔料、スレン系顔料等の耐熱性顔料を用いれば当然耐熱
性の高いシリコーン着色料は得られるが、これらは上述
の理由からシリコーンをビヒクルとした場合の分散性が
悪く、界面活性剤の添加を必要とした。ただこれら界面
活性剤は高温になるとシリコーンの物性に悪影響を及ぼ

加え、170 ℃×10分プレスを行なった。この時点で分散
状態を目視で観察した。放熱後、250 ℃のオーブンに1
週間入れて、その変色を見た。耐熱変色の確認は、JIS
Z8723 表面色の比較方法に従って行った。しかし、評価
の記録としては中途半端なのでJIS L0844 の洗濯に対す
る染色堅牢度試験方法を基準に、そこで定められている
JIS L0804 (変退色用グレースケール)とJISL0805
(汚染用グレースケール)とを用い、その級を判定し

で厚さ2mmのシートとし、150 ℃×30分間の加硫後、放
熱した。ここで目視で分散状態を確認した。300 ℃のオ
ーブンに24時間入れて、その変色を見て、上記と同様に
