Abstract
PURPOSE: To accurately measure the min. blood pressure, by mounting an under side envelope detection means for detecting the under side envelope of the pulse wave component in the output of a photodetector in the vacuum process from a hemostatic state and using the detected under side envelope as a parameter to determine the min blood pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A finger cuff 2 is constituted by receiving a pressure band 8 in a base body 10 and holding the periphery of the base body 10 by a cuff holder 9. A light emitting element 15 and a photodetector 16 are provided in the air chamber 84 forming a part of the pressure band 8 to be connected to a main body circuit part and air pressure is applied to the interior of the pressure band 8 by the pump in a main body case to constitute the pressure band 8 so as to be capable of pressurizing the same. The pressure of the finger cuff 2 and the output of the photodetector 16 are taken in an MPU 12. The MPU 12 has a function extracting the under side envelope of the pulse wave component outputted from the photodetector 16, a function for detecting that the under side envelope turns to rising from an unchanging state and a function for determining the cuff pressure corresponding to the point where said envelope turns to rising as the min blood pressure. The under side envelope of the pulse wave component in the output of the photodetector of a photoelectric sensor is detected during a measuring process and the min blood pressure is determined on the basis of the change point data of the under side envelope.
