When doing this based on different types of video signals, the effect voltage waveform generated within the device and used as a reference is changed to a fader voltage value that is manually varied by the user in order to vary the area ratio of the two types of reproduced images. Alternatively, it can be compared with a voltage value (ramp wave) that is automatically generated within the device and whose voltage level changes continuously (ramp wave), and the comparison voltage output can be applied to an analog switch in the device to which two types of video signals are applied. This is to obtain a reproduced image with a special video effect by supplying the video signals to the video signals and increasing and decreasing the voltage values of the respective video signals in a complementary manner.

Since the ramp wave is scanned once in the opposite direction (from the right side to the left side of the screen), the screen of the other reproduced image is replaced by the screen of one reproduced image again.

This was done using the voltage obtained by slicing.

For example, from right to left (left to right), from top to bottom (bottom to top) ), the screen gradually transitions to a new image, or a part of the screen gradually becomes larger and a new image appears from there. In extreme cases, it refers to the effect where the screen is completely replaced from one reproduced image to another reproduced image.

This has the problem of increasing costs, and since the return direction of the ramp wave changes depending on the number of times the wipe effect is performed, good effects cannot be obtained when using a combination of automatic and manual operations. There was a problem.

までもない。 In addition, in the following explanation, the screen will always gradually transition to a new image from the right to the left of the screen.
This will be explained using a wipe effect in which the area ratio of two types of images increases or decreases complementary to each other over time, but other wipe effects as mentioned above, such as always moving from left to right and top to bottom (bottom to top) of the screen, will be used to explain. The effect is that the screen gradually changes to a new image, or that a part of the screen gradually becomes larger and a new image appears from there. In extreme cases, it goes without saying that the special effects device of the present invention can also be used to perform a wipe effect where one reproduced image is completely replaced with another reproduced image.

The output of the AND circuit 10 to which the output of 3 is supplied is:
It is applied to the waveform comparator 11 at the next stage. The waveform comparator 11 performs a waveform comparison between the output of the AND circuit 10 and the output of the waveform generation circuit 6. When the effect is to change the area ratio between the area of the A signal and the area of the B signal within the screen, the output of the waveform comparator 11 changes the area ratio of the A signal and the B signal that are supplied to the effect amplifier 12. It is used as a signal for The effect amplifier 12 converts the A signal (B signal) screen to the B signal according to the output voltage level of the waveform comparator 11.
The screen gradually shifts to the signal (A signal) screen, and the entire screen completely shifts to the B signal (A signal) screen.
At this time, the control circuit 2 is supplied with the voltage value from the auto-manual switching circuit 5 which is supplied to the waveform comparator 11, and thereby detects the limit signal voltage value.

有することを特徴とする特殊効果装置。 A special effects device that performs a special effect of increasing or decreasing the area ratio of a plurality of types of images within a screen, the first and second switching circuits selectively outputting first and second video signals used for this special effect, respectively. , a control circuit that controls video signal selection of these first and second switching circuits, a ramp wave generation circuit that generates a ramp wave under the control of this control circuit, and an output of this ramp wave generation circuit and the control circuit. An AND circuit is supplied with an output corresponding to a first signal from the circuit, and under the control of the control circuit, the output of the AND circuit is selected during "auto" operation, and the output of the AND circuit is selected during "manual" operation. A third switching circuit that selects the first signal, an effect generation circuit that generates a signal according to the special effect, and a waveform comparison of the output of the third switching circuit and the output of the effect generation circuit. and a waveform comparator that performs a waveform comparator, and a first and second video signal in the screen corresponding to the first and second video signals supplied from the first and second switching circuits in accordance with the output from the waveform comparator. 1. A special effect device comprising: an effect means for changing the area ratio of an image.
