<Industrial Application Field> The present invention relates to a polyolefin composition having excellent heat aging resistance. <Conventional technology> Generally, polyolefins such as polyethylene are
It is a relatively inexpensive polymer and has excellent properties such as mechanical properties, electrical properties, and processability, so it is used in many fields.
However, conventional polyolefin compositions based on polyolefins cannot be used in applications where they are used at high temperatures of about 120 to 150° C. for long periods of time because of their poor heat aging resistance. <Problems to be Solved by the Invention> In order to improve this heat aging resistance, a benzimidazole-based anti-aging agent and a polymer of 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline (Antage RD: Product Polyolefin compositions containing benzimidazole-based anti-aging agents and tetrakis[methylene-3-(3',5'-di-tert-butyl-4'-hydroxyphenyl)propionate]methane (Irganox 1010: Product Polyolefin compositions containing anti-aging agents have been proposed, but it has not been possible to sufficiently improve heat aging resistance even in polyolefin compositions containing such anti-aging agents. The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and provides a heat-resistant polyolefin composition that has excellent mechanical properties, electrical properties, processability, etc., and can withstand long-term use in high-temperature environments. The purpose is to provide. <Means for solving the problem> In order to achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the inventor of the present invention
As a result of intensive research, we found that for 100 parts by weight of polyolefin, the chemical formula 0.25 to 3 parts by weight of N,N'-di-2-naphthyl-P-phenylenediamine (hereinafter referred to as phenylenediamine), 1 to 30 parts by weight of a benzimidazole anti-aging agent, PbO, ZnO The present invention was completed by discovering a heat-resistant polyolefin composition containing 1 to 10 parts by weight of one or two of the above. Examples of the polyolefin used in the present invention include high, medium, and low density polyethylene, ethylene-propylene-nonconjugated diene terpolymer, ethylene-propylene copolymer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and ethylene-ethyl-acrylate copolymer. polymer,
Examples include one type or a blend of two or more types of ethylene-α-olefin copolymers. The phenylenediamine used in the present invention has the chemical formula An example of this is Nokrac White (trade name) manufactured by Ouchi Shinko Kagaku Kogyo Co., Ltd. The amount of this phenylenediamine is
The amount is 0.25 to 3 parts by weight, preferably 0.5 to 2 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight. When the amount of phenylenediamine blended is less than 0.25 parts by weight, sufficient heat aging resistance cannot be obtained.
On the other hand, when it exceeds 3 parts by weight, the processability during kneading and extrusion molding is significantly reduced. The benzimidazole anti-aging agents used in the present invention include 2-mercaptobenzimidazole, zinc salt of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole, 2-mercaptomethylbenzimidazole,
Examples include zinc salt of 2-mercaptomethylbenzimidazole. The blending amount of the benzimidazole anti-aging agent is 1 to 30 parts by weight, preferably 2 to 20 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the polyolefin.
Parts by weight. When blending the benzimidazole anti-aging agent, any one of the four types of anti-aging agents may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination. When the amount of the benzimidazole anti-aging agent is less than 1 part by weight, sufficient heat aging resistance cannot be obtained.
On the other hand, when it exceeds 30 parts by weight, the mechanical properties under normal conditions deteriorate. The amount of PbO and ZnO used in the present invention is 1 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of polyolefin.
Preferably, it is 2 to 5 parts by weight. When the amount of PbO or ZnO is less than 1 part by weight, the effect of suppressing the volatilization of the phenylene diamine and benzimidazole anti-aging agent at high temperatures is insufficient, and sufficient heat aging resistance cannot be obtained. On the other hand, if it exceeds 10 parts by weight, the mechanical properties and electrical properties under normal conditions will deteriorate. The heat-resistant polyolefin composition of the present invention may further contain inorganic fillers such as clay, talc, aluminum hydroxide, and calcium carbonate, chlorine-based or bromine-based flame retardants, zinc borate, barium metaborate, and antimony oxide. A flame retardant aid, a lubricant, a coloring agent, etc. may be added as appropriate. <Examples> Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples and Comparative Examples, but these Examples are not intended to limit the present invention in any way. Examples 1 to 8, Comparative Examples 1 to 10 The compositions of Examples 1 to 8 shown in Table 1 and Comparative Examples 1 to 10 shown in Table 2 were sufficiently kneaded with an open roll at 150°C, and then kneaded at 150°C for 6 minutes. Press to a thickness of 0.5
Create a sheet of 1.3MeV−10mA
The sample was crosslinked by 40 Mrad electron beam irradiation. Next, the tensile strength (Kg/mm 2 ) and elongation (%) were measured in accordance with the test method of JISK6301, and the volume resistivity (Ω-cm) was also measured. Furthermore, in order to evaluate heat aging resistance, the material was placed in a gear oven at 158°C and aged, and the number of days until embrittlement was measured. In this judgment of embrittlement, those whose elongation after aging was less than 50% under the above conditions (JISK6301) were considered to be embrittled. Regarding processability, we visually observed the extrusion surface condition using a Branbender extruder.
Extrusion processability was evaluated in three stages. By comparing Examples 1 to 3 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 with reference to Tables 1 and 2, it was found that the amount of phenylenediamine (Nokrac White) according to the present invention was less than 0.25 parts by weight. In some cases, sufficient heat aging resistance cannot be obtained, and on the other hand, when the amount exceeds 3 parts by weight, extrusion processability is significantly reduced. Furthermore, by comparing Examples 1 to 8 with Comparative Examples 7 to 10 in which a conventionally used antiaging agent was used in combination, it was found that the heat resistant polyolefin composition of the present invention has excellent heat resistant aging properties. I understand. In addition, by comparing Examples 5 and 6 and Comparative Examples 3 and 4, it was found that the amount of benzimidazole anti-aging agents such as Nokuraku MB (trade name) and Nokuraku MMBZ (trade name) was less than 1 part by weight. It can be seen that when the amount exceeds 30 parts by weight, sufficient heat aging resistance is not obtained, and on the other hand, when the amount exceeds 30 parts by weight, the mechanical properties under normal conditions are deteriorated. Furthermore, by comparing Examples 1 to 8 and Comparative Examples 5 and 6, it was found that when the amount of metal oxide blended is less than 1 part by weight, the phenylene diamine and benzimidazole antioxidants The effect of suppressing volatilization is not sufficiently obtained, the heat aging resistance is insufficient, and on the contrary, the
It has been found that when the amount exceeds 1 part by weight, the mechanical properties and electrical properties in the normal state are deteriorated. As shown above, the heat-resistant polyolefin composition of the present invention, which has excellent heat aging resistance, has a chemical formula of It can be obtained for the first time by blending the phenylenediamine and benzimidazole anti-aging agents shown in Table 2, and by blending PbO and ZnO in the specific proportions specified in the present invention. This cannot be obtained at all with the composition of the comparative example shown in . <Effect> As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to use a polyolefin composition with excellent mechanical properties, electrical properties, processability, etc. in applications where it is continuously used for a long period of time at high temperatures of about 120 to 150 °C. Therefore, its industrial value is extremely large.
