By the way, such plastic lenses are also coated with an anti-reflection coating on their surfaces like glass lenses, but they are made of MgF 2 , ZrO 2 ,
Inorganic antireflection coatings made of Al 2 O 3 , SiO, etc. have weak adhesion to plastics, so they are generally
A resin film such as organopolysiloxane resin or acrylic ester resin is formed on the surface of the plastic lens in advance, and an inorganic antireflection film is applied on the resin film. Such a resin film is also useful for preventing scratches on the plastic surface, improving hardness, and improving the impact resistance of the plastic. It has also been proposed to further improve the scratch resistance, surface hardness, and impact resistance of plastic by providing a 5 μm layer of SiO 2 or glass.

In order to form the above resin film, dip coating,
A method such as spin coating is used, and the resin film applied to the plastic surface by this method is cured by heating or ultraviolet irradiation. When forming an organopolysiloxane resin film,
Heat treatment at 80℃ to 100℃ for 2 to 3 hours is required to cure the resin film.On the other hand, when forming an acrylic ester resin film, the resin will harden even after irradiation with ultraviolet light for about 10 seconds. Curing of the film is possible. For this reason, it is advantageous to use an acrylic ester resin film in terms of workability and prevention of plastic distortion due to heating.

For example, an acrylic ester resin film is produced by coating a plastic lens with a solution containing a monomer or oligomer such as acrylic urethane, an ultraviolet absorber, and an ultraviolet sensitizer (hereinafter referred to as an acrylic ester solution), and curing it by irradiating it with ultraviolet rays. This can be obtained by

By the way, plastic lenses have curvature,
Since the surface is curved, it is difficult to apply an acrylic ester resin film to a uniform thickness on the lens surface. For this reason, it is common knowledge that the distribution of coating film thickness is 2 to 4 times as large.
In glasses lenses, etc., only the central part of the lens is used, and surface precision is not required as much as in the left, so they can withstand use even under the above film thickness distribution, but optical equipment Plastic lenses used in 2017 require high surface precision in order to prevent optical distortion, and if the acrylic ester resin film has the above thickness distribution, the surface precision of the lens will deteriorate and become difficult to use. It becomes difficult.

The method of forming an acrylic ester resin film using the conventional dip coating method involves controlling the pulling speed of the plastic lens from the acrylic ester solution according to the curvature of the lens to obtain an acrylic ester resin film with a uniform thickness. However, with this method, it is very difficult to control the film thickness, and the thickness of the formed acrylic ester resin film is not uniform. It can only be applied to biconvex lenses, and as a result, plastic lenses used in optical equipment have the disadvantage that when an antireflection film is applied, the surface precision of the plastic lenses decreases.

In order to achieve this object, the present invention provides a plastic lens manufacturing method in which an acrylic ester resin film is provided between a plastic surface and an antireflection film. After immersing it in a resin solution, it is pulled up and the acrylic ester resin adhering to the plastic surface is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to semi-cure it.Then, the plastic lens is turned upside down and immersed in the acrylic ester resin solution. The feature is that an acrylic ester resin film is provided on the surface of the plastic lens by immersing it again, pulling it out, and irradiating the acrylic ester resin adhered to the plastic surface with ultraviolet rays to completely cure it. The ester resin film has a uniform thickness distribution.

In this experiment, Seikabeam AC-201-P (trade name manufactured by Dainichiseika Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.) was used as the acrylic ester solution 1, and an acrylic plate was used as the plastic plate 2, and the pulling rate of the plastic plate 2 from the acrylic ester solution was determined. At a speed of 20 mm/min, the inclination of the plastic plate 2 relative to the liquid level of the acrylic ester solution 1 was changed, and the film thickness of the acrylic ester resin film applied to the plastic plate 2 and cured with ultraviolet rays with respect to this inclination was measured. It is something.

In FIG. 1, the direction in which the plastic plate 2 is pulled up is perpendicular to the liquid level of the acrylic ester solution 1 (arrow p), and when the surface of the plastic plate 2 to be measured is upward, It is assumed that the immersed state is a (+) state, and conversely, when it is below, it is a (-) state. The inclination of the plastic plate 2 with respect to the liquid level of the acrylic ester solution 1 is expressed by the angle θ between the pulling direction p and the surface to be measured.
In the (+) state, it is +θ, and in the (-) state, it is -θ.

Figure 2 shows the measurement results obtained in the experiment shown in Figure 1, where the coating film thickness is the lowest when the angle θ is around -17 degrees, and the coating film thickness is 0.6 μm at zero degrees.
It was hot. In addition, the coating film thickness varies depending on the pulling speed and the viscosity of the acrylic ester solution, but
It has been found that within a practical range, the relationship between the angle θ and the coating film thickness tends to be as shown in FIG.

Therefore, when applying an acrylic ester resin to a plastic lens by dip coating, the plastic lens 4 is immersed in the acrylic ester solution 1 and pulled up in the direction of arrow p, as shown in FIG. Since the plastic lens 4 is made of plastic, the inclination angle θ of its surface changes, and for this reason, the acrylic ester resin film is not uniformly applied to the surface of the plastic lens 4. For example, if the angle θ changes up to 20 degrees,
The coating thickness distribution of plastic lenses can be up to twice as large, and can reach up to 3.5 times when the angle varies by up to 40 degrees.

As mentioned earlier, the coating thickness of the acrylic ester resin must be at least 0.5 μm, so the film thickness distribution at this time is 1 to 2 μm for plastic lenses where the angle θ changes up to 20 degrees. ,
For plastic cleansers that change up to 40 degrees,
3.5 μm, which significantly degrades the precision of the lens surface.

However, both sides of the plastic lens are symmetrical with respect to any plane containing the central axis of the lens, and from this and the above quantitative experiments,
An acrylic ester resin film having a uniform thickness can be formed on the surface of a plastic lens, and therefore a plastic lens with a high surface precision coated with an antireflection film according to the present invention can be obtained.

That is, as shown in FIG. 3, a plastic lens 4 is first immersed in an acrylic ester solution 1 with its a side facing down in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis.
Pull it up in the direction of arrow p and irradiate the surface with ultraviolet rays, then turn it upside down and immerse the plastic lens 2 in the acrylic ester solution 1 in the same way, with the b side facing down and in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis. Pull it up and irradiate its surface with ultraviolet light again. In this manner, by applying the resin twice, the accuracy of the distribution of the thickness of the coating film of the acrylic ester resin adhered to the surface of the plastic lens 4 is improved.

Figure 4 shows this situation quantitatively, with curve 7 showing the thickness of the coating film deposited on various parts of the surface of the plastic lens during the first application, and curve 8.
curve 9 shows the thickness of the coating film deposited on various parts of the surface of the plastic lens during the second application, and curve 9 represents the total thickness of the coating film deposited on various parts of the surface of the plastic lens during the second application. According to this method, the coating film thickness becomes extremely uniform, and the coating film thickness distribution on lenses where the angle between the lens surface and the liquid level is up to 20 degrees is twice as much as with conventional coatings in one coat. It can be seen that the increase is 1.2 times.

min in the direction of the arrow p perpendicular to the liquid surface, and then move this acrylic lens 4 at 80W/cm 10cm away.
The acrylic ester resin film on the surface of the acrylic lens 4 was brought into a semi-cured state by irradiating it with ultraviolet light for 2 to 3 seconds using a high-pressure mercury lamp. Next, the acrylic lens 4 was turned upside down, and as shown in FIG. 5, the acrylic lens 4 was immersed and pulled up under the same conditions as above with the b side facing down, and the ultraviolet rays were applied for 10 seconds. The acrylic ester resin film was completely cured.

The important points of this dip coating method are: (1) After the first coating, the coating film is cured by ultraviolet irradiation;
Next, turn it upside down and apply the same second time. curing the coating film by irradiating it with ultraviolet light;
(2) Shorten the UV irradiation time after the first application.
(3) The rate at which the plastic lens is pulled up from the acrylic ester solution is 100 mm/min or less, preferably 10 mm/min.
mm/min to 100 mm/min, and (4) the viscosity of the acrylic ester solution to be 1 to 100 cp.

As explained above, according to the present invention, since the antireflection film is formed through an acrylic ester resin film having a predetermined thickness and a uniform thickness distribution, it can be applied to any surface shape or curvature. On the other hand, the surface precision is improved and the occurrence of optical distortion is suppressed, and the curing time of the acrylic ester resin during manufacturing is extremely short, making it easy to work with, and there is no deformation caused by the curing process. It is possible to provide a plastic lens with excellent functionality at a low cost except for the disadvantages of the above-mentioned prior art. In addition, by immersing a plastic lens upside down twice in an acrylic ester resin solution in a direction almost perpendicular to the optical axis, a uniform acrylic ester resin can be applied to the surface of a plastic lens with an arbitrary surface shape and curvature. The film can be formed easily and reliably, and the yield is also improved.
