7がトラフ1の基部にあり、前記取出しラム7は前記チ
ャンネル7内を移動可能であり、そして、ハ)排出シリ
ンダー5が前記チャンネル7の一方の前面に固着されて
おり、前記取出しラム4が前記取出しシリンダー5内に
挿入可能であるもの。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、長繊維で強化した熱可
塑性プラスチックグラニュールの可塑化用装置に関す
る。
【0002】
【従来の技術】熱可塑性プラスチックの応用範囲は、強
化用繊維を用いることによって益々広まっている。長繊
維(繊維長>4mm)を熱可塑性プラスチックに添加す
ることで、該熱可塑性プラスチックの全ての機械的特性
値が向上し得る。長繊維を添加した熱可塑性プラスチッ
クグラニュールの調製法は実質的に解決しているが、こ
の種のグラニュールの可塑化には未だに困難である。そ
の理由は、公知の可塑化装置を用いると、繊維が損傷を
受けるからである。例えば、グラニュールを押出機に供
給すると、流路の方向が変化するので、繊維は忽ち機械
的に粉砕されるのである。これに加えて、可塑化装置に
おいてグラニュールの流路中の金属部分と繊維とが摩擦
を起こすことによっても、繊維の粉砕が起こる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】上記問題点に鑑み、本
発明は、繊維の粉砕が起こらない熱可塑性プラスチック
グラニュールの可塑化用装置を提供することを目的とす
る。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記課題を解決すべく、
本発明によれば、長繊維で強化した熱可塑性プラスチッ
クグラニュールの可塑化用装置であって、イ)低エッジ
クリアランスを有する二つの混練部材2、3がトラフ1
中に配置され、ロ)取出しラム4を収容するためにチャ
ンネル7がトラフ1の基部にあり、前記取出しラム7は
前記チャンネル7内を移動可能であり、そして、ハ)排
出シリンダー5が前記チャンネル7の一方の前面に装着
されており、前記取出しラム4が前記取出しシリンダー
5内に挿入可能である、前記装置が提供される。
【0005】トラフ1、混練部材2、3、取出しラム4
及び排出シリンダー5は、温度制御手段を有していても
よい。
【0006】本質的には、本発明の装置は、長さ10〜
100mm、厚さ5〜30μmの繊維によって強化され
た繊維強化グラニュール(長さ10〜100mm、厚さ
0.1〜50mm)を穏和な条件で処理し得るという利
点を有する。つまり、本発明の装置の可塑化部分におい
ては、繊維の機械的な粉砕は起こらず、且つ、大きな剪
断荷重を受けることなく該部分を通過して排出シリンダ
ーへと送られる。

【実施例】本発明を図面と共に更に詳細に説明する。低
エッジクリアランスを有する混練部材2、3はトラフ1
内に配置されている。トラフ1はその基部内にチャンネ
ル7を有する。該チャンネル7内に、取出しラム4が配
置されている。取出しラム4が挿入可能な排出シリンダ
ー5は、チャンネル7の一方の前面7に固着されてい
る。トラフ1は温度制御手段(加熱及び/又は冷却手
段)8を有していてもよい。混練ブレード2、3、取出
しラム4及び排出シリンダー5もまた、温度制御手段
(図示せず)を有していてもよい。排出シリンダー5の
開口部6は、フラップ(図示せず)又は加工用具若しく
は賦形用具によって閉じられていてもよい。10は、排
出シリンダー5の駆動手段である。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 長繊維で強化した熱可塑性プラスチック
    グラニュールの可塑化用装置であって、イ)低エッジク
    リアランスを有する二つの混練部材(2、3)がトラフ
    (1)中に配置され、ロ)取出しラム(4)を収容する
    ためのチャンネル(7)がトラフ(1)の基部にあり、
    前記取出しラム(7)は前記チャンネル(7)内を移動
    可能であり、そして、ハ)排出シリンダー(5)が前記
    チャンネル(7)の一方の前面に固着されており、前記
    取出しラム(4)が前記取出しシリンダー(5)内に挿
    入可能である、前記装置。
  2. 【請求項2】 トラフ(1)が温度制御手段(8)を有
    する、請求項1に記載の装置。
  3. 【請求項3】 混練部材(2、3)が温度制御手段を有
    する、請求項1に記載の装置。
  4. 【請求項4】 取出しラム(4)及び排出シリンダー
    (5)が温度制御手段を有する、請求項1に記載の装
    置。
