Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily and surely remove weft in tire fabric used for a topping sheet by a simple device and installation. CONSTITUTION:A weft 3 is folded in the outsides of both side ends of tire fabric 1 and continuously held for many pieces of parallel warps. The weft 3 is cut in one place of the intermediate part in the width direction in a stage until tire fabric 1 is supplied to a calender. The warps 2a of both side end parts are separated from the main body part of tire fabric 1 after cutting thereof. Thereby the cut wefts 3 are accompanied with the warps 2a of the side end parts and pulled out. Tensile strength of the weft 3 of the tire fabric 1 is made larger than force for pulling out the weft 3 in the width direction of the tire fabric.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a tire constituent material such as a carcass or a belt of a tire and other industrial materials, a blind fabric as shown in FIG.
That is, a suede woven fabric (1) obtained by weaving a large number of warp yarns (2) made of fiber cord or the like with thin weft yarns (3) that play a role of a splice at every required interval in the longitudinal direction,
It is commonly used. After being subjected to heat treatment, adhesive treatment, etc., at least one side, usually both sides, of this blind cloth is covered with rubber and used as a so-called topping sheet.

By the way, when such a topping sheet is used as a tire constituent material, the weft yarn (3) in the above-mentioned interwoven fabric does not play any effective role in reinforcing the tire, and the presence of the weft yarn (3) exists. Therefore, there is a drawback that the tire performance is deteriorated.

Further, since the weft yarns (3) are present, the parallel pitches (p) of the warp yarns (2) are likely to be non-uniform, which hinders uniform inflation during tire vulcanization, which causes poor tire uniformity. Further, as a material of the weft (3), there is a problem that spun yarn such as cotton or rayon has poor adhesiveness to rubber and separation is likely to occur from the portion of the weft (3).

Therefore, recently, a large number of warp yarns are arranged in parallel without a weft yarn to form a sheet, and a topping sheet without a weft yarn having at least one surface thereof covered with rubber is often used as a tire constituent material. There is.

As a method for manufacturing this topping sheet without wefts, warp yarns composed of a large number of cords are arranged in parallel and wound around a beam, and the warp yarns are pulled out from the beam and arranged in a sheet shape to perform an adhesive treatment. Meanwhile, a method has been proposed in which the rubber is coated by being supplied to a calender (for example, JP-A-63-59526). There is also known a method in which weft yarns are removed from a textile similar to the conventional ones and rubber is coated (for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 61-113877).

However, in the case of using the warp (cord) wound around the beam by pulling it out, the warp (cord) is not connected to each other, so that it is easy to move and is adhered to the topping step by the calendar. Trouble such as cord breakage is likely to occur during agent treatment, and if the cord breakage occurs, all products will be defective. Therefore, only a small-scale process can be performed at a relatively low speed, resulting in poor productivity and high cost.

Further, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 64-45627, it has been proposed to fix a cord by sticking a fluid substance on a sheet-like material made of only the cord drawn out from the beam. However, in this case, different substances are mixed in the rubber, which is not preferable.

On the other hand, in the case of the method of removing the weft yarn from the bamboo blind fabric and supplying it to the calender to coat the rubber, it is desired that the weft yarn can be removed efficiently and completely with simple equipment. The means proposed in Japanese Patent No. 113877, while moving the interwoven fabric in the longitudinal direction,
The weft is finely shredded by passing it between two roll cutters equipped with split rings that fit alternately, and a large number of wefts that have been shredded subsequently are separated by a brush, and further wefts are spun off. Is to be collected and removed by vacuum suction, and there is a drawback in that extremely complicated and expensive equipment is required, and 100% of finely cut wefts cannot be removed.

In view of the above, the present invention has been invented so that the weft can be removed easily and surely by a simple device and equipment when using the weave fabric for a topping sheet without the weft. (EN) A weft yarn removing method in which weft yarns can be laterally pulled out from a main body portion of the weave yarn, and a weft yarn removing method in which the weft yarns are cut at an intermediate portion in the width direction and pulled out in the lateral direction.

A first aspect of the present invention is an adhesive-treated blind fabric which is woven from a large number of warp yarns and weft yarns, and the weft yarns are alternately folded back and driven on the outside of both side end portions. The tensile strength of the weft yarn is larger than the pulling force of the weft yarn in the fabric width direction, whereby the weft yarn can be easily pulled out in the fabric width direction.

A second aspect of the present invention is a method for removing a weft yarn from a weave yarn in which weft yarns are alternately folded back and driven on the outside of both side ends of a large number of parallel warp yarns. In the process up to feeding to the calender, the weft yarn of the interwoven fabric moving in the longitudinal direction is cut at one intermediate portion, and after this cutting, the warp yarns at both end portions are separated from the main body of the interwoven fabric, whereby the cutting is performed. It is characterized in that the formed weft yarns are pulled together with the side end warp yarns.

In the above-described weft removing method of the present invention, in the steps until the blind fabric is fed to the calender,
The weft yarn of the interwoven fabric moving in the longitudinal direction is cut at one intermediate portion, and after this cutting, the warp yarns at both end portions are separated so as to be separated from the main body portion of the interwoven fabric, and then folded at the side end portions and cut at the intermediate portion. The separated weft yarns are pulled out from the warp yarn group of the main body portion and removed together with the separating action of the side end warp yarns.

In particular, the tensile strength of the weft yarn of the interwoven fabric is
Since the force is larger than the force for pulling out the weft in the lateral direction as described above, when the cut weft is pulled out, the weft is cut in the middle due to the adhesive force with the warp due to the adhesive treatment or the frictional force between the weft and the like. It is possible to completely pull out and remove the weft without any fear of remaining.

When the weft (3) is pulled out,
In order to prevent the warp (2) from flexing and expanding in the width direction due to the pulling action due to the adhesive force or the frictional force of the adhesive treatment between the warp (2) and the weft (3), the upper and lower parts are indicated by chain lines in FIG. It is desirable to dispose the sandwiching roll (16) from the above, or to dispose the guide rollers (17) on both sides. Thereby, the extraction efficiency can be further improved.

Further, the weft cutting position by the cutter (11) can be arranged very close to the pulling-out start position by the separating action of the side end warp (2a), and particularly the weft (3).
If the cutting and the pulling-out start can be performed substantially at the same time, the weft (3) can be cut by the cutter (11) with a certain tension.

Further, as the weft yarn (3) of the interwoven fabric (1), spun yarn such as cotton and rayon and various other yarns can be used. As mentioned above, the warp yarns (2) at both end portions are used.
Because the weft (3) is pulled out by the separating action of a),
The strength of this weft (3), especially the tensile strength, is
The maximum force for pulling out the yarn, that is, a yarn larger than the pulling force for pulling out against the adhesive force with the warp yarn (2) by the adhesive treatment and the frictional force between the warp yarn (2) and the like is used. For example, in the case of the same type of yarn as the conventional one, a yarn thicker than the conventional yarn and having the above-mentioned strength is used. Needless to say, a thin thread having the above-mentioned strength can also be used.

If the tensile strength of the weft thread (3) is smaller than the drawing force, the weft thread (3) may be broken during the drawing and remain between the warp (2) groups in the main body. When the strength of the weft yarn (3) is given as described above, the weft yarn (3) can be easily and surely pulled out without fear of breakage or the like.

Regarding this, as shown in Table 1 below, the number and the like of the material of the warp (2) were set to the same conditions, and a cotton yarn of 5 count was used as the weft (3) (Example 1).
And using a Teflon-coated 550 denier rayon yarn (Example 2) and a yarn using thinner count yarns as wefts (Comparative Examples 1 to 3) were respectively woven and bonded. The pulling force and the possibility of pulling out of the weft yarn after the agent treatment were examined. The results are shown in Table 1.

3) The weft strength at the time of pulling out the weft was insufficient and the weft could not be pulled out, and the result was that the weft was broken and remained on the main body of the blind fabric. On the other hand, in any of Examples 1 and 2 of the present invention, the weft could be pulled out completely without breaking.

The blind fabric (1) is previously subjected to an adhesive treatment in order to improve the adhesiveness with the topping rubber (R). By this adhesive treatment, the weft yarn (3) becomes the warp yarn (2). It is difficult to pull it out when it is firmly adhered to (4), so it is desirable to use a material having low adhesiveness as the weft (3). For example, in the case of yarn such as rayon, it is preferable to reduce the adhesiveness by applying the Teflon coating process as described above.

Further, since the weft yarns (3) of the weave fabric (1) are to be removed by drawing, the number of hammered yarns can be reduced within a range that does not cause any inconvenience in heat treatment, adhesive treatment and other handling up to the weft removal. For example, 0.5 to 4 may be used within 5 cm.

As described above, according to the weft removing method of the present invention, the weft can be completely and easily pulled out and removed by an extremely simple device, and therefore the blind fabric is supplied to the calender line as in the conventional case. As a result, it becomes possible to easily implement a topping sheet using a sheet-like material formed only of warp yarn groups without weft yarns. Moreover, since it is possible to perform heat treatment and adhesive treatment in the state of the blind fabric,
There is no fear of warp cutting during the feeding to the topping step by the calender, high speed operation becomes possible, and productivity can be improved.

In particular, by setting the tensile strength of the weft yarns of the interwoven fabric to be larger than the pulling force, the weft yarns can be easily and surely pulled out due to the separating action of the side end warps. Further, since the wefts are removed in this way, the number of wefts can be reduced, and the weaving efficiency can be improved. In addition, the weft can be made stronger than conventional weave fabrics, so the weaving speed of the weave fabrics can be increased and the troubles of tearing the interwoven fabrics after the adhesive treatment can be reduced. To do.
