(Prior Art) Generally, a wheelchair user needs an attendant to help them use stairs or escalators.
It is difficult for the attendant to do so alone. For this reason, a wheelchair auxiliary trolley has recently been proposed that is equipped with a wheelchair and allows the wheelchair user to go up and down stairs and escalators with only one attendant. There has also been a proposal related to Japanese Patent Application No. 75,557/1989 in which the lock position of the auxiliary handle is changed so that the wheelchair can be transported without removing it. The structure and operation of the latter wheelchair auxiliary trolley will be explained with reference to the drawings in FIGS. 4 to 9. In FIGS. The crawler device 8 of 1 is a motor 3 mounted on a bogie frame 2.
A drive wheel 5 and a driven guide wheel 6 driven by this motor 3, and a drive wheel 5 that is hung between the guide wheel 6 and the drive wheel 5 and run along a guide (a frame that also serves as the bogie frame 2). It is composed of a pair of left and right endless bodies 7 that rotate forward and backward in a closed loop.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) By the way, in the conventional wheelchair auxiliary trolley, in order to prevent the elastic member 46, which becomes an obstacle to going up and down when using stairs, from protruding below the rear end frame portion 22 of the trolley main body, The auxiliary handle 23 is locked by engaging the lock pawl 43 with the upper pawl engaging hole 41a of the receiving plate 41. Then, the auxiliary handle 23 rotates toward the user 70 of the wheelchair A, so that the auxiliary handle 23 is rotated toward the footrest 63 of the wheelchair A.
The toes 71 of the wheelchair user 70 are placed on the wheelchair. Normally, there is no problem because the handle 23 bends backwards and escapes, but in the case of a large man in wheelchair A as shown in FIG. If the hydraulic cylinder 16 is activated due to posture control in this state, it may cause discomfort to the wheelchair user, or there is a danger that the toe 71 may be caught in the auxiliary handle 71.
