2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an endoscope has been frequently used for the purpose of examination and treatment in a body cavity. This endoscope must be washed and disinfected after every use, for example, JP-A-1-153.
No. 133, and the endoscope cleaning device as disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 3-6811 are used. When cleaning and disinfecting with such a device, bubbles are generated during the process. When the foam was to be erased, an appropriate amount of antifoaming agent was placed in the tank each time it was foamed. Further, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 147427/1988 discloses that the antifoaming agent is supplied to the antiseptic solution tank by detecting the antiseptic solution when the antiseptic solution tank is put into the antiseptic solution tank. In this case, since the defoaming agent is added every time the disinfecting solution is added, the defoaming agent was supplied even when bubbles did not appear in the disinfecting solution.

Further, since the worker injects an appropriate amount of defoaming agent, if the defoaming agent is injected more than necessary, the cleaning effect and the disinfecting effect may be impaired. It is also considered that the defoaming agent that does not completely melt adheres to various members and may interfere with the operation of the members. Further, the operator may forget to inject the defoaming agent and the foam may cause the device to malfunction, or the bubble may overflow from the tank to cause a malfunction of the device or an electric shock.
