[Detailed description of the invention] [Industrial field of application] The present invention is designed to cover and protect the connection part of a communication cable installed in underground pipes, for example, when inspecting or repairing the connection part. Cut the lead pipe,
The present invention relates to a pipe beveling machine suitable for use in cutting.

Generally, the structure of the connection between communication cables is as shown in Fig. 9, in which cables b and b' covered with a rubber tube a are connected to each other, and a string d is wrapped around this connection c. Then, cover the end of the rubber pipe a with an auxiliary lead pipe e, heat it with a torch lamp and fix it, and cover the above connection part c with the main lead pipe f, and connect both ends of the main lead pipe f.
f' and f' are heated and melted with a torch lamp, etc., and then welded to the auxiliary lead pipes e and e.

Conventionally, when performing periodic inspection or repair of the above-mentioned connections, a torch lamp was used to inspect both ends of the main lead pipe f.
After heating f' and f', both ends of the main lead pipe f are opened using a tool, but using a tote lamp in this way poses a risk of fire.

Therefore, a method is currently being proposed in which the cable connection part c is protected by being housed in a synthetic resin box that can be easily opened and closed, instead of being covered and protected by the lead pipes e and f mentioned above. Part c is covered and protected by a lead pipe, so when dismantling the lead pipe to replace it with a synthetic resin box, there is a risk of fire if the conventional dismantling method using a torch lamp is used, and it is necessary to remove the rubber covering of the cable. There are problems such as easy damage.

The above dismantling method includes the steps of cutting the main lead pipe into two rounds on the left and right sides, making two parallel cuts in the longitudinal direction of the main lead pipe, and removing the cut main lead pipe by winding it in the circumferential direction. , a step of removing the main lead pipe by winding it in a band shape in the longitudinal direction, a step of spreading the main lead pipe by hand and removing it, a step of making vertical grooves in three places with a scraper on the remaining main lead pipe and the auxiliary lead pipe, and a step of removing the vertical grooves. The remaining part of the main lead pipe and the auxiliary lead pipe are removed by rotating them in the longitudinal direction using a lead winding tool, and the remaining part of the main lead pipe and the auxiliary lead pipe are separated using a machete and the auxiliary lead pipe is removed. It consists of a step of pushing it up and down and removing it, and a step of removing the remaining part of the main lead pipe and the perforated lead plate using a machete.

Since the protective cover that covers part of the chipsaw is simply provided with a spring force applied to the main body so that it can be rotated by a predetermined amount, it is necessary to change the gripping direction of the main body depending on the bevel position of the pipe body. However, the workability is poor.

This invention was an attempt to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems. It not only makes it possible to easily adjust the cutting depth to an appropriate depth according to the wall thickness of the lead pipe, but also makes groove machining simple and efficient. The purpose is to provide a pipe beveling machine that can perform lead pipe disassembly work efficiently and safely, with fewer work steps.

That is, in the present invention, a chip saw is removably attached to the tip of a spindle that extends toward the front of the main body in conjunction with the motor shaft of a motor built into the main body, and approximately the upper half of the chip saw is attached to the shaft bearing at the tip of the main body. A safety guard having a substantially semicircular shape on the front side that covers and exposes the lower half is attached so as to be rotatable in the circumferential direction, and a cover that covers the front surface of the chipsaw and an auxiliary handle protruding from the outer wall are formed on the safety guard, respectively. At the same time, the spindle is inserted into a vertically elongated hole in the rib part hanging down from the inner surface of the safety guard and slides up and down, and the cut depth adjusting plate whose lower end abuts the pipe body to be cut is inserted into the safety guard. It is attached to the safety guard so that it can be adjusted vertically by screwing it into an adjustment screw that is rotatably supported through the safety guard while preventing axial movement, and the safety guard is mounted upwardly in front from one end of the tip saw exposed part of the safety guard. A guide path for discharging chips is formed, and a front guard made of an elastic plate is hung down and fixed to the lower part of one end of the guide path, and a stopper, which is biased by a spring in the direction of rotation of the chipsaw, is swingable at the other end. The above-mentioned problems were solved by having a pivoted structure.

Furthermore, a safety guard 18 is provided at the other end of the exposed opening of the chipsaw 12 of the safety guard 18.
A stopper 32 whose base end is pivotally connected to the bracket 18d by a pin 31 and whose tip 32a is formed at an acute angle is supported so as to be swingable in the rotational direction A of the chipsaw 12 and in the opposite rotational direction. 32 has one end hooked to the safety guard 18 and the other end hooked to the stopper 32, and is resiliently biased by an interposed spring 33 in the direction of arrow B shown in FIG. 3, that is, in the direction in which the tip saw 12 rotates. When cutting the tubular body, when the bevel machine tends to spring up in the direction of arrow c shown in FIG. 3 due to the repulsion of the tip saw 12, the tip 32 of the stopper 32

[Effects of the invention] Since the beveling machine for pipes according to the present invention is configured as explained above, the handle portion 2 of the main body 1 and the auxiliary handle 22 of the safety guard 18 are grasped to cut the pipe. The safety guard 18 can be rotated by the auxiliary handle 22 according to the position, and the exposing direction of the chipsaw 12 can be arbitrarily changed.
Not only can the tool be held in a fixed direction at all times, the auxiliary handle 22 can be used to apply force in the cutting direction of the chip saw 12, improving work efficiency. Since the depth of cut of the tube determined by the dimension between the lower end 25e of the cut adjustment plate 25 and the cutting edge of the chipsaw 12 can be easily adjusted, the depth of cut can be adjusted to the wall thickness of the tube which varies depending on the diameter of the tube. This can be easily done, and furthermore, the chips hit the front cover 29 as the chipsaw 12 rotates, pass through the chip discharge guide 28 in the safety guard 18, and are discharged to the front from the opening 28a of the cover 19. Since the safety guard 18 is supported by the stopper 32 during cutting, the bevel machine will not move in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the chip saw 12 due to the rotational repulsion of the chip saw 12. Even if you try to lift up, the tip 32 of the stopper 32
Since a is embedded in the tubular body, it is possible to prevent it from popping up, and the cutting process can be performed safely and accurately.

Motor shaft 4a of motor 4 installed inside main body 1
A chip saw 12 is removably attached to the tip of a spindle 8 that extends forward to the front of the main body, and a roughly front surface that covers approximately the upper half of the chip saw and exposes the lower half is attached to the tip shaft bearing portion 6b of the main body. A semicircular safety guard 18 is attached rotatably in the circumferential direction, and a cover 19 that covers the front surface of the chipsaw and an auxiliary handle 22 protruding from the outer wall are formed on the safety guard, respectively. The safety guard is provided with a cutting depth adjusting plate 25 which slides up and down by inserting the spindle into the vertical hole 25a into the rib portion 18a hanging from the inner surface and abutting the cut pipe body 34 at its lower end. The safety guard is mounted so that it can be moved up and down by being screwed with an adjustment screw 27 that is rotatably supported through the shaft and prevented from moving in the axial direction. A discharge guide path 28 is formed, and a front cover 29 made of an elastic plate is hung down and fixed to the lower part of one end of the guide path, and a stopper 32 that is biased in the saw rotation direction by a spring 33 is oscillated at the other end. A beveling machine for pipe bodies, characterized in that it is configured so that it can be pivoted.
