で紙片の他方が裁断でき、その操作も容易である
ことから、回転歯の枚数を少なくしても繰り返さ
れる裁断操作は簡単なものとなり、低出力、小型
化が可能となる。よつて裁断幅を小さくすること
でコンパクトで低価格の裁断装置を提供できるよ
うになり、身近な場所に、例えば机やカバンの中
などに収納でき、電池タイプでは外部電力が不要
になることで海外などどこにでも持ち運び、使用
することができるようになる。また紙片の所望の
側壁を裁断でき、レターオープナーとしても利用
できるなど、実用性にすぐれた効果を奏するもの
である。
