This is a crowbar that you can use with confidence.

A conventional crowbar used for railway track repair work consists of a forged claw part at the front end 6, a round bar part of the body 1, and a pointed end part at the rear end 7, as shown in the overall sketch of Fig. 3. It is a single iron rod.

When pulling out the dog nail, the part of the body that is gripped unconsciously comes close to the opposite rail 12, and in an attempt to forcefully push down the crowbar from position 13 to position 14, the hand is placed between crowbar 14 and rail 12. It often gets caught and crushes fingers.

The rails 12 and 12 are short-circuited through the dog nail 11 and the crowbar. This has the same meaning as if a train were present at this location, and the signal circuit would be shorted and the signal would turn red.

In addition, the same applies to the single-track automatic signal section, but if there is a double contact near the turnout, the signal will permanently turn red, resulting in a long recovery time. In order to solve these problems, conventionally, as shown in Fig. 5, yellow paint or the like was painted on the part 16 of the crowbar barrel 1 that contacts the rail 12 to call attention to it. Not only does the painstaking paint that has been applied peel off and become useless when repairing work, but even immediately after painting, when working at night in the dark, or even during the day, people unconsciously touch the area. I often get caught. Another drawback was that paint alone was not effective in preventing short circuits.

As shown in the figure, the radius is also different, and it does not form a circle. This is because the crowbar is forged as described above, and in this state it is impossible to form it as shown in FIG. 7.

As a method to prevent accidents during work while maintaining sufficient durability for work such as

This figure shows a cross section, in which a hole like 3 is made on the surface of the body 1, and a material 4 having electrical insulation, shock resistance, abrasion resistance, and abrasion resistance (for example, polycarbonate) is inserted into the hole. ) is made to protrude slightly from the surface of the burl, is press-fitted into the hole 3, and is bonded with an adhesive 5.

By processing and forming the crowbar in this way, the moment the worker grasps the part protruding from the surface of the crowbar, he or she will feel the wart and feel danger, and in order to remove his/her hand from that part, the worker will move his/her finger between the rail and the crowbar. This eliminates the possibility of clogging, and even if the crowbar comes into contact with the external rail, the signal circuit will not be short-circuited.

A group of holes like 2 on the back of the body 1 of the crowbar shown in Figure 1 was drilled to match the actual railway tracks, with the spacing and number of rows determined, as shown in Figure 2, and a material 4 made of various materials was pressed into and adhered to the holes to create a prototype.
