[Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a soldering flux used for soldering printed circuit boards, etc., and specifically relates to improving the solvent in a soldering flux containing rosin as a main component and adding an activator. It is. [Summary of the Invention] The present invention provides a soldering flux containing rosin as a main component and an activator added therein, by adding a material having high insulation resistance and good solubility to rosin as a solvent. It is designed to suppress the decrease in insulation resistance due to the solvent contained and the change in insulation resistance over time, and has no unpleasant odor. [Prior Art] Conventionally, soldering has been frequently used when mounting electronic elements on printed circuit boards. In order to achieve more reliable soldering, the above soldering method involves cleaning the surface of the metal to be joined with liquid flux or high adhesive flux before soldering, or using so-called cream soldering, which is a mixture of solder fine particles and flux. This is done using methods such as using . Here, the above flux includes product quality and reliability, (a) high insulation, (b) non-corrosion, (c) long-term stability,
(d) It is required that there is no change in the material of other parts, etc.
Also, from the viewpoint of soldering work, (a) those that do not generate toxic gases, (b) those that have good solderability (have the effect of dissolving and removing oxides on the metal surface, enveloping the metal surface, and melting (c) be easy to clean, (d) be non-sticky, and (e) be free from unpleasant odors. Generally, in the field of electronics industry, so-called rosin-based soldering fluxes, which are prepared by adding activators, solvents, etc. to rosin as a main component, are often used as fluxes that meet the above requirements. The above-mentioned solvent is used for the purpose of uniformly applying rosin, and alcohol, which dissolves rosin well, has usually been used. As the alcohol, for example, methyl alcohol or isopropyl alcohol is used in liquid flux for automatic soldering of printed circuit boards, and high-grade alcohols such as glycols such as 1,3-butanediol are used in flux in cream solder. alcohol is used. However, when alcohol is used as a solvent in this way, the insulation resistance of these alcohols is low, so the heating during soldering is insufficient, and the residual flux after soldering contains alcohol, causing circuit damage. This causes a decrease in the insulation resistance between the two. The alcohol in the residual flux mentioned above gradually develops over time and increases the insulation resistance. However, if the film of the residual flux is thick, the alcohol develops slowly and the insulation resistance does not increase very easily. This causes a decline in equipment reliability. In addition, even if this type of flux sufficiently volatilizes the alcohol in the residual flux and has high insulation properties, when exposed to a high humidity atmosphere, it absorbs moisture from the air and the insulation resistance decreases again. This has the disadvantage that it becomes defective in the market. In particular, this tendency is strong in high-tack fluxes used for temporary fixing of flat package ICs and fluxes contained in cream solder, so there is a strong desire to improve this tendency. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] As described above, when alcohol is added as a solvent to rosin-based soldering flux, the insulation resistance between circuits decreases due to residual alcohol in the flux remaining after soldering. There is a problem in that this change over time is large and results in a solder state with poor reliability. In addition, cream solder allows electronic components to be soldered by a so-called reflow process, but if alcohol is used as a flux solvent, the flux oozes out and remains during the reflow process. There is a problem that the insulation resistance decreases depending on the components. Furthermore, if the flux has an unpleasant odor, there is a risk that the working environment for soldering will deteriorate and the working efficiency will be reduced. Therefore, the present invention was proposed to solve the above-mentioned problems. The present invention has been proposed to solve the above-mentioned problems. The purpose is to provide flux for attachment. [Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the inventor of the present invention has conducted extensive research and found that the flux itself has high insulation resistance, good solubility in rosin, and has no unpleasant odor as a flux. This discovery led to the completion of the present invention. That is, the soldering flux of the present invention is
A soldering flux containing rosin as a main component and an activator added, among esters, isoamyl isovalerate, citronellyl acetate, cinnamyl acetate,
It is characterized by containing allyl cyclohexylpropionate, isoamyl acetate, ethyl butyrate, or at least one of these isomers as a solvent. [Function] The flux for soldering of the present invention has a high insulation resistance, sufficiently decomposes rosin, and contains the above-mentioned material as a solvent that does not have an unpleasant odor as a flux, so it is suitable for soldering. Even if the residual flux contains solvent, the insulation resistance is high and its change over time is small, and furthermore, it does not adversely affect the soldering work environment or work efficiency. [Examples] Specific examples of the present invention will be shown below, but it goes without saying that the invention is not limited thereto. Example 1 A liquid flask was prepared by mixing 30% by weight of water white rosin (hereinafter abbreviated as ww rosin), 0.5% by weight of cyclohexylamine hydrochloride as an activator, and 69.5% by weight of ethyl butyrate as a solvent. Example 2 A cream solder was prepared by mixing 88% by weight of solder powder and 12% by weight of flux. The composition of the above flux is 65% by weight of ww rosin, 0.5% by weight of diethylguanidine hydrobromide as an activator, and 3% by weight of hydrogenated castor oil.
Ethyl butyrate was used as a solvent at a concentration of 31.5% by weight. Example 3 A highly adhesive flux was prepared by mixing 70% by weight of ww rosin, 10% by weight of hydrogenated castor oil as an activator, 1% by weight of cyclohexylamine hydrochloride, and 19% by weight of ethyl butyrate as a solvent. Comparative Example 1 A liquid flux was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the solvent was changed to isopropyl alcohol. Comparative Example 2 A cream solder was prepared in the same manner as in Example 2 except that the solvent in the flux was changed to 1,3-butanediol. Comparative Example 3 A highly adhesive flux was prepared in the same manner as in Example 3 except that the solvent was changed to isopropyl alcohol. Soldering was carried out using the liquid flux, high tack flux or cream solder prepared in Examples 1 to 6 and Comparative Examples 1 to 3, and each residual flux after soldering was evaluated according to JIS- In accordance with the insulation resistance test method shown in Z-3197-4.10, initial insulation resistance and temperature 40℃,
The insulation resistance was measured after being exposed to a relative temperature of 90% for 72 hours. The thickness of the residual flatus is
The measurement was made so that the thickness was 300 to 500 μm. The results are shown in Table 1.
