2. Description of the Related Art Heat radiators for electric devices have been conventionally provided, in which fins are fixed to both upper and lower surfaces of a metal substrate, and air or the like is circulated between the fins to radiate heat generated from a heat-generating component. However, such conventional heat sinks for electric devices have the disadvantage that when mounting electronic components, particularly flat thyristors, with clamps, through holes and grooves for fitting the clamps must be formed in the fins. .

The present invention overcomes the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional heat sink. By forming gaps at both ends of the metal substrate using the ends of the metal substrate and fins fixed to the top and bottom surfaces of the metal substrate, it is not necessary to form additional through holes or grooves for fitting clamps to attach heat-generating components. Also, by fixing a plate for attaching heat-generating components, it is possible to easily and securely attach flat thyristors, etc., to a heat sink for electric elements.

In the present invention, a heat generating component such as a flat thyristor is brought into contact with a heat generating component mounting plate, a clamp or the like is applied to the heat generating component, and the clamp or the like is inserted into the gap and tightened to mount the heat generating component. At this time, since the heat generating component mounting plate is fixed, it is easy to abut the heat generating component thereon.

As shown in the figure, it is composed of a metal substrate 1, fins 2, and a plate 7 for attaching heat-generating components. These metal substrate 1, fins 2, and plate 7 for attaching heat-generating components are
For example, it is made of a material with good thermal conductivity such as aluminum alloy or copper. A heat generating component 3 such as a thyristor is attached to the metal substrate 1 via a heat generating component mounting plate 7 . Further, the fins 2 are shown as being composed of a large number of fin units, with a large number of rectangular hollow channels 4 provided in the longitudinal direction, and the fins 2 are fixed to both the upper and lower surfaces of the metal substrate 1. be. The fins 2 are fixed to the metal substrate 1 by, for example, brazing. Fluid such as air flows in the longitudinal direction in each rectangular cavity type channel 4 of the fins 2 to radiate heat from the heat generating component 3. This fin 2 is located at both ends 11 of the metal substrate 1.
It is fixed to both sides of the metal substrate 1 so as to protrude further, and a gap 5 is formed between the end portion 11 of the metal substrate 1 and the fin 2. This gap 5 is for fitting a clamp or the like (for example, a bolt 6) when installing an electronic component 3 such as a thyristor, and is illustrated as having a substantially U-shaped cross section. As long as the gap is like this, its cross-sectional shape and size are not critical.

A holding plate 8 having approximately the same length as the fin 2 and having bolt holes at both ends is placed on the outside of each heat generating component 3 from one gap 5 to the other gap 5.
The bolt 6 is inserted into the bolt hole and the gap 5, and is tightened with a nut 9 to attach the heat generating component 3. Then, air, etc. is made to flow from one side to the other through each rectangular hollow channel 4 from the front opening side of the fin 2, and the heat generated inside the heat generating component 3 is transferred to the heat generating component mounting plate 7 and the metal. board 1
The heat is transmitted to the fins 2 via the fins 2 and radiated therefrom.

As described above, in the present invention, the fins are fixed to both the upper and lower surfaces of the metal substrate so that they protrude from both ends of the metal substrate, and a gap is formed between the ends of the metal substrate and the fins, which generates heat. When attaching components, there is no need to newly form through holes or grooves for fitting clamps, etc., and heat generating components can be easily attached. Furthermore, since the clamps and the like do not slide, the heat-generating components can be securely and firmly attached.
