(57) [Abstract] [Purpose] In a device that reduces the noise of the pantograph accompanying the speeding up of the vehicle, the aerodynamic noise of the pantograph is reduced by using the separation of the airflow to shield the noise from the current collection and to reduce the air resistance. To reduce. [Structure] Parallel plates 3 and 3 having a sufficient height are provided on both left and right sides (vehicle width direction) of a pantograph 2 on a roof of a vehicle body, and parallel plates 3 are provided between the parallel plates 3 and 3 in front and rear positions of the pantograph 2.
The front and rear walls 4, 5 lower than the height of, and a streamlined windshield member having a gap between the front and rear walls 4, 5 are provided. [Effect] Since the traveling wind can be separated by the front wall 4 and the windshield member 6 on the front side, noise outside the pantograph when the vehicle is traveling at high speed is reduced, and noise and air resistance of the noise reduction device itself are increased. Can be suppressed.

By optimizing the frontal inclination angle of the front and rear walls, the average velocity of the air flow hitting the pantograph is reduced. As a result, the sound pressure level of the pantograph aerodynamic sound can be reduced. However, in order to reduce the average velocity of the air flow hitting the pantograph, the height of the front and rear walls is made sufficiently high, and the inclination angle of the front face is made large so that the air flow is separated at the upper end of the upstream front wall. Need to be bigger. For this reason, the height of the front and rear walls and the angle of inclination of the front face are increased, so that the air resistance is greatly increased and the aerodynamic noise of the noise reduction device itself is increased, and further reduction effects cannot be expected.

In addition, since the windshield member is placed in the peeling area at the upper end of the front wall upstream of the front and rear walls that is lower than the height of the parallel plates, the peeling area is further diffused, and the average flow velocity at the maximum height position of the pantograph is reduced. it can. Further, the noise of the front and rear walls themselves and the noise of the windshield member can be suppressed to a low level. Furthermore, since the front and rear walls are low, running resistance can be reduced.

Reference numeral 1 denotes a known pantograph including a vehicle body, 2 a boat, an upper frame, a lower frame, and an insulator. Reference numeral 3 is a parallel plate which is provided on the left and right sides of the vehicle end roof and is attached at the maximum height H within the vehicle limit. Reference numerals 4 and 5 are provided between the parallel plates 3 and 3 at the front and rear positions of the pantograph 2 (the front and rear positions in the traveling direction of the vehicle), and the front wall installed at a height h lower than the height H of the parallel plate 3 and It is the back wall. Reference numeral 6 denotes a cylindrical windshield member which is arranged between the front and rear walls 4, 5 in the parallel plates 3, 3 with a gap between the front and rear walls 4, 5. The windshield member 6 is a member having a sectional size larger than the main sectional size of the pantograph. The vertical cross-sectional shape of the windshield member 6 may be streamlined such as elliptical. In this example, the pantograph 2 is provided at the end of the vehicle body 2 in the traveling direction. The operation of this embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3 in comparison with the conventional structure.

2 will be described with reference to FIG. 2, the traveling wind A flows along the front surface of the front wall 4 in the central cross section in the vehicle body width direction, and flow separation occurs from the upper end of the front wall 4. According to the author's wind tunnel experiment, the maximum height S of the pantograph 2 is located in a region where the flow velocity ratio parameter α obtained by dividing the average flow velocity generated on the wake side by the main flow velocity is 1.0 or more. The noise level from the pantograph was high as indicated by the broken line in FIG.

The separation of the flow from is further diffused by the windshield member 6 in the wake. Therefore, the flow velocity at the maximum height S of the pantograph 2 can be reduced. As indicated by the circles in FIG. 4, the noise level is significantly reduced by the arrangement of the windshield member 6. As indicated by the alternate long and short dash line, when the pantograph 2 is not provided (when the pantograph 2 is lowered to run), the increase in the noise level when the front and rear walls 4, 5 and the cylindrical windshield member 6 are combined is slight. I understand. Further, since the windshield member 6 has a large cross-sectional dimension, the frequency range of this aerodynamic sound is low. Furthermore, since the windshield member 6 is streamlined, air resistance is also small.

In the figure, the same reference numerals as those used in the above-mentioned embodiment denote the same members. The difference of this embodiment from the first embodiment is that the windshield members 6a are arranged in front of the front wall 4 and behind the rear wall 5, respectively. Here, since the position of the windshield member 6 of the first embodiment is arranged at a position where the separation of the flow from the upstream front wall 4 is diffused, the position is close to the upper end of the parallel plate 3. In the example,
Since the windshield member 6a is arranged in front of the front wall 4, the distance between the windshield member 6a and the pantograph 2 becomes long, so that a flow diffusion region by the windshield member 6a develops. For this reason, the mounting height of the windshield member 6a can be reduced, so that the vehicle body 1
It can be placed near the roof of, and the shielding effect by the parallel plates 3 and 3 increases.
