Abstract
Description
Claims (12)
- 1.画像を処理する方法において、 前記画像内で少なくとも1つの特徴の位置を検出するステップと、 前記各特徴を示す画像から画像データを抽出するステップと、 各特徴について前記特徴画像データの位置を示す特徴ベクトルを、複数の参照ベ クトルによって定義されるN次元空間で計算するステップと、ここで各前記ベク トルは類似する特徴画像の練習セットであって、 更に前記方法は、 前記各特徴画像データを修正して各特徴の形状を正規化するステップであって、 これにより前記特徴の所定標準形状からの偏倚を減少し、本ステップは対応する 特徴ベクトルを計算する前に実行され、 を有することを特徴とする画像処理方法。
- 2.前記各特徴の画像データを修正するステップは、変形できるテンプレート技 術の使用を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 3.前記画像内で少なくとも1つの所定特徴の位置を検出するステップは、前記 位置の荒い概算値を提供する第1の技術、及びこの第1の技術とは異なり前記荒 い概算値を向上させる第2の技術を用いることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載 の方法。
- 4.前記第2の技術は変形できるテンプレート技術の使用を含むことを特徴とす る請求項3記載の方法。
- 5.前記類似する特徴画像の練習セットは修正され、各画像の練習セットの形状 を正規化し、それにより前記特徴の所定標準形状からの偏倚を減少し、本ステッ プは前記画像の固有ベクトルを計算する前に実行されることを特徴とする請求項 1乃至4の中の1項に記載の方法。
- 6.前記画像の複数のエッジ特徴に隣接して配置される閉じた曲線のパラメータ を判断することにより前記画像の一部分の位置を検出するステップを更に含み、 ここで前記曲線は最小の湾曲以上に制限されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5 の中の1項に記載の方法。
- 7.前記曲線の境界部は最初に計算され前記画像のエッジを概算し、次に相互に 減少されることを特徴とする請求項6記載の方法。
- 8.前記画像の一部は人間の顔又は頭であることを特徴とする請求項6及び7記 載の方法。
- 9.前記画像内の各特徴の位置を判断するステップを更に含むことを特徴とする 請求項1乃至8の中の1項に記載の方法。
- 10.データキャリア(data carrier)のユーザの同一性を確認す る方法において、 前記ユーザの顔のデジタル画像を発生するステップと、前記データキャリアを受 取り、識別データを前記キャリアから読み出すステップと、 請求項1乃至8の中の1項に示される方法を実行するステップと、 前記ステップにより得られる各特徴ベクトル又はデータを、前記識別データと比 較するステップと、及び前記比較に依存して確認信号を発生するステップと、を 有することを特徴とする方法。
- 11.データキャリアのユーザの同一性を確認する装置において、 前記ユーザの顔のデジタル画像を発生する手段と、前記データキャリアを受取り 、識別データを前記キャリアから読み出す手段と、 請求項1乃至8の中の1項に示される方法を実行する手段と、 前記手段により得られる各特徴ベクトル又はデータを、前記識別デートと比較し 、この比較に依存して確認信号を発生する手段と、 を有することを特徴とする装置。
- 12.前記ユーザのデジタル顔画像を発生する手段は、ADコンバータにその出 力が接続されるカメラを具備することを特徴とする請求項11記載の装置。
