Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】 本考案は,合成樹脂管との融着接合、接着接
合等が簡単、かつ確実に行える管継手を提供する。 【構成】 合成樹脂製継手本体部1の内面に電熱線2を
所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設すると共に、該電熱線2の両端
部を継手本体部1の外面に設けたコネクター3のピン3
1に接続する。また、合成樹脂製継手本体部1の一端部
に合成樹脂製短管4を一体的に接続する。 【効果】 電熱線を埋設した合成樹脂製継手本体部に合
成樹脂管を融着接合することができ、継手本体部の一端
部に接続した短管に合成樹脂管を接着接合、バット融着
等によって接続することができる。

【考案の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】
本考案は、合成樹脂管との融着接合、接着接合等が簡単、かつ確実に行える管 継手に関する。

【従来の技術】
この種の管継手として、例えば特開昭62ー255692号公報には、合成樹 脂製継手本体の両端部内面に電熱線を所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設し、該継手本体の 両端部に合成樹脂管の端部を嵌挿してから電熱線に通電して発熱した電熱線で継 手本体の内面と合成樹脂管の端部外面とを同時に溶融させて融着接合する管継手 が提案されている。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、この管継手は継手本体の両端部に合成樹脂管を融着接合できる ようになっているため、例えば一端部に受口を有する合成樹脂管を接続する場合 には、継手本体に合成樹脂製短管の一端部を融着接合してからこの短管の端部を 合成樹脂管の受口に接続しなければならないという煩しさがあった。 本考案は,かかる課題を解決したものであって、合成樹脂管との融着接合、接 着接合等が簡単、かつ確実に行える管継手を提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本考案の管継手は、合成樹脂製継手本体部の内面に電熱線を所定間隔で螺旋状 に埋設すると共に、該電熱線の両端部を継手本体部の外面に設けたコネクターの ピンに接続し、また合成樹脂製継手本体部の一端部に合成樹脂製短管を一体的に 接続したことを特徴とするものである。

【作用】
合成樹脂製継手本体部の内面に電熱線を埋設したので、該継手本体部内に合成 樹脂管の端部を嵌挿してから電熱線に通電して発熱させると、継手本体部と合成 樹脂管とが強固に融着接合する。一方、継手本体部の一端部に合成樹脂製短管を 接続したので、該短管の外周面に接着剤を塗布してから合成樹脂管の受口に嵌挿 すると、短管と合成樹脂管とが接着接合する。

【実施例】
以下、本考案の実施例を図面にて詳細に説明する。 図1は本考案の一実施例を示す管継手の半断面図、図2および図3は本考案の他 の実施例を示す管継手の半断面図である。図中1はポリエチレン等の合成樹脂か らなる継手本体部、4は継手本体部1と同種あるいは異種の合成樹脂からなる短 管であって、継手本体部1の一端部に短管4が一体的に接続されている。
【0007】 合成樹脂製継手本体部1の内面にはポリエチレン等の合成樹脂で外面被覆され た電熱線2が所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設されており、該電熱線2の両端部は継手本 体1の外面に設けたコネクター3のピン31と接続している。この継手本体部1 は射出成形によって一体的に成形されるものである。
【0008】 図1に示した管継手は、合成樹脂製継手本体部1の一端部に金属製の継手部材 5を介して合成樹脂製短管4を接続したものである。即ち、この管継手は継手本 体部1を射出成形する際に、継手本体部1の一端部に筒体51を一体的に固着さ せたものであって、該筒体51内に短管4の一端部を嵌挿してから短管4内に嵌 挿したスリーブ52を拡径して短管4の端部外面を筒体51の内面に設けた溝に 食込ませて一体的に接続したものである。この管継手の場合は、例えば短管4の 端部を合成樹脂管6の受口に嵌挿して接着接合することができ、継手本体部1に は従来の管継手と同様にして合成樹脂管を融着接合することができる。
【0009】 図2に示した管継手は、継手本体部1の一端部に設けた小径短管部11に合成 樹脂製短管4の一端部を外挿して融着接合したものである。即ち、小径短管部1 1の外周面には予め電熱線22が所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設されており、該短管部 11に短管4の一端部を外挿してから電熱線22に通電して発熱させることによ って短管4を融着接合したものである。この実施例の管継手の場合には、例えば 短管4の端部に合成樹脂管6の端部をバット融着することができる。
【0010】 また、図3に示した管継手は、継手本体部1の一端部から連続して屈曲した短 管4を設けたものである。この実施例の管継手は短管4がほぼ90度の角度に折 れ曲がっているので、建屋のコーナ部に沿って配管を接続する際に好適に使用す ることができ、短管4の端部を合成樹脂管6の受口に嵌挿して接着接合すること ができる。

【考案の効果】
以上詳述した如く、本考案の管継手は合成樹脂製継手本体部の内面に電熱線を 埋設したので、該継手本体部内に合成樹脂管の端部を嵌挿してから電熱線に通電 するだけで継手本体部に合成樹脂管を強固に融着接合できる。また、この継手本 体部の一端部に接続した合成樹脂製短管の端部を合成樹脂管と接着接合、バット 融着等によって接続することができる。
